AKL Prices

I was quoted $1,000.00 more for a 5 night stay at AKL with a Savanna view, over the standard view that I had booked.
Does this sound crazy ? Should I call back and see if that price is correct ?

I have 2 savannah view rooms booked for 4/25 - 5/2 for $205/night plus tax. The standard view for this time was $139 with the discount I'm using.

For 4 nights, Savanah View I'm paying $910 - May 9th - 13th.

$1,000 more seems very high!

i got $237/night tax included for a Savannah 4/12 - 4/21 - Upsell rate

I got 5 nights with LOS 5 nights/6 days 2 adults 1 child, savannah view for $2100 during Aug 25 - 30

Lowest rate was AAA's over DC, at least until some code pops out and beats $205/night for those dates.

Well the rack rates for standard sized rooms at AKL are $230 for a standard view and $295 for a Savannah view & discounted rooms have been running about $135 for a standard view and $200 for a Savannah so it looks like $1000 bucks over 5 nights is WAY out of the ballpark

Hmmmm - unless the rooms you were quoted were offering a standard/standard versus a deluxe/Savannah. AKL has 2 different sized rooms: standard and deluxe. So if they quoted you a discounted standard/standard (all standard view rooms are standard size) versus deluxe/Savannah - which runs at a $375 rack rate versus the $295 for a standard sized/Savannah view room - you could easily have a $1000 difference over 5 days.

I received an upsell rate of 210 a night for the first 2 weeks in April. I had called to get the CBR and when I went to book that I was offered the upsell rate.

I just dropped my ressie for July at akl cause looking at the ressies, I had cro do: akl dlx savannah view 299.00 (ap rate) & my other ressie for the Poly gv concerige was 295.00. (ap rate ). Switched over to just having the poly & swan and only moving once. Would love a postcard or better rate thou, but for now just can't justify this price. MKY

Upsell means: you ask for a resort in 1 category and since its booked they offer you the next category at a large discount. IE: you ask for the allstar's (value resort) and its sold out so they offer you CS (a moderate resort) at a discount. :o
