Question for those in the KNOW:
We're renting a car this time. We have an early breakfast at Chef Mickey's (7:35am) and plan to head into the MK afterwards. Would we be allowed to leave our rental car at the Contemporary and take the monorail over for the day? We are staying at BCV. My husband think's it's ok, since as hotel guests we should be allowed to pool hop there for the day if we wanted to. Is he right??
Thanks
Diane

No. The monorail resorts have a 3 hour parking limit for non-guests at that resort, and expecially now with the construction at the Contemporary, parking is extremely limited.
You would be better off parking in the MK lot and taking the monorail to the Contempoary for breakfast, assuming the lot and monorail are operating at that time of day. Allow a little extra time, though.
Or you could park at the resort for breakfast, then move the car to the MK lot.
If it is a particularly "busy" time, I've heard they limit the Resort parking to Contemporay guests ONLY, dining ADR or no dining ADR, because of the construction.

We are at WDW now. Yesterday we went to GF for a PhotoPass op. They gave us a three hour parking pass. The resort guard booths are now manned 24 hours a day and without a room key or verified reason for visiting they won't let you in. I guess they are tightening up because of the Christmas crowds. :santa:

DVC has stated in earlier editions of Vacation Magic that parking at the resorts is not permitted to visit the theme parks. Even if you are valet parking.
