We (DW and myself) have decided to do some relaxing beach time on the St Thomas day. Which beach is the best and how diod you get there? Don't want to rent a jeep so we'll be using the taxi.

Trunk Bay on St. John BY FAR was the greatest.. GORGEOUS!!! We got their by renting a car and taking a car ferry, so I can't help you with taxi's and all that. But go to Trunk Bay. We also went to Magens Bay, which was nice, but if you intend on snorkeling, do Trunk Bay.

You absolutely have to do Trunk Bay .... I can't imagine anything more beautiful on this earth than there. Once you go, you will see that this is pictured in soooooo many brochures. My husband and I did it via a Disney excursion and were glad.

Here's a hint - if you want to just float around, go to your local $ store or WalMart and get one of those cheat floats. I got a few at the Dollar Store and they were real easy to blow up (when done, it was about 3 feet long). At the end of the day you can either deflate it or throw it away. I did the same for Castaway Cay Serenity Beach.

Have Fun and I'm jealous!

My vote would be for Cinnamon Bay on St. John. It is the beach right past Trunk Bay. No entrance fee and NO crowds. It is perfect.
