This has probably been asked before but I was interested in what experiences anyone has had using toe socks. Do they help prevent blisters on the toes during long runs, etc.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I use Injinji socks http://www.injinji.com/ for the last few years(including Goofy). They are the only thing to really work for my blisters on my toes. I also use Body Glide to further minimize chance. Before had to tape, etc, etc.

After they were recommended here, I tried them. Work great for me! I've worn them on 10-12 mile training and not one blister :cloud9:

I need that for one of my big toe nails. I just got back to clear nail from last year's WDWM in August and blackened about 3/4 of the same nail in a tri over Labor Day Weekend. :scared1: Thinking I should just have the thing removed. I have lost that nail so many times that the nail bed is deformed.

I know way tmi

I've used them after they were recommended here. I had a bit of an adjustment time only b/c they feel "funny"--no smileys though. My problem blisters seem to be abated. We'll see in a couple of weeks.

As for the toenails, me to. I've just got it back to almost full and am expecting a loss in January.

This post reminded me that I owe Robert a BIG THANKS for recommending the toe socks to me after the Tower of Terror 13k.
We were talking about my freaky feet (my second toe is longer than my big toe) and I have basically not had a toenail on my second toe on my left foot since the Donald last year then again after the Chicago half in August. Wearing regular socks was a problem between the toenail and blisters.
Robert was kind enough to show me his socks (but not the smiley faces on his toes) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: after the race. As soon we go back my DW Kareneast ordered me a couple of pairs and I have been hooked ever since.
Toe Socks are AWESOME!!!

Thanks Robert!!!!
