:cool1: 21 days to go! :cool1:
Hey, my name is Pete and I'm 19 years old. I've been a huge Disney World fan ever since I went for my first time in '97. I have been a total of 5 times (twice this year!).
Well anyway, lemme tell you how this trip was supposed to happen. I was supposed to be going with my DSis17. Well, I decided to take 2 friends along and she didn't care. Well to make a long story short, she backed out of a free trip to WDW that I was paying for! I knew those brownies tasted weird...anway, well now its just me and my 2 friends going! No worries!
DF18 (P)-She loves all things Disney. She has been twice and knows almost every Disney movie by heart.
DF18 (J)-He has never been to WDW before. Loves Disney movies, but could never go as a child. I really want this trip to be very special cause God knows when he will go again. He really deserves a vacation too. He works very hard at what he does. Oh, P and I are paying for him. :)
Well heres the roundup:
-Driving down straight through from South Jersey on Dec. 8th
-December 9-15
-Disney's Contemporary Resort, Garden Wing Standard View
-3 6 day park hopper tickets
-3 MVMCP tickets on Dec. 14th :santa:
-3 Tickets to La Nouba (undecided)
-Meeting a DISer
Here's my schedule.
-I'm not really a big ADR person.
-The schedules I make never stay what they are. It's pretty much a times guide.
-And the reason why I have to check-out of the CR and check back in is because they were booked and I couldn't get the same room for all 6 nights, just 5, so I'll most likely have to switch after the first night, not a big deal though.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpuDUS4pAM.jpg
I got so excited when WDW sent me my room-only envelope with some resort and park tips.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpn19mHCAM.jpg
Here are the MVMCP tickets. I'll be getting the park hoppers any day now.
-And the one the left is mine. :)

*OH, and the reason why my title is "Why are you going there?" is because a co-worker of mine asked me that. I said, "well due to all the speeding tickets and DUIs, they're sending me to Disney World!" He was like, "are you serious?"
Ummm...some people...yeah...haha. Oh and I'm just kidding about the DUIs and the spee....yeah, the DUIs!

I know...haha. But when I went in August, we drove and it was great. We had no traffic! And it didn't feel that long at all. I'm probably going to be driving most or all of the time, so they better not fall asleep on me, lol!

Hey everyone. I made a pre-trip report and heres the link right here...
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1640232
...if you wanna catch up. But if you don't wanna read it (I don't blame ya) heres an update:
Who Went:
Me - 19 - I love all things Disney. I would go once a month if I could! One of the reasons why I want to move to Florida is to be closer to WDW! And I'm also running out of people to go with. Anyone wanna join? haha.
Kristin - 18 - Again, loves all things Disney. I wasn't sure if she was coming, but I'm so glad she did.
Juan - 18 - He's never been to Disney - actually hes never stayed in a hotel before. Yeah, I know, he doesn't get out.
The resort I finally choose after a ton of cancelled reservations:
Disney's Contemporary Resort - Standard View, Garden Wing
I actually had to make 2 reservations - one for the first night, and one for the next five nights because there wasn't a room that would hold us for all six nights. Hey, whatever, I'm at the CR!
When I went:
Dec. 9-15
*We are also driving down from NJ.
Here we are. Me, Kris, & Juan.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00618.jpg
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, I had no idea people went to Disney before Christmas. I just thought it was a dead time to go. Well, I looked into it and managed to get off work. And so did my 2 friends. Ok, we're off. But where would we stay? Well we went from the CR, to the Poly, Pop, FW Cabins, GF, AKL, Dolphin, and back to the CR, haha! So, ok the CR it is.
Day 0 (yes, Day 1 doesn't start until I'm in Disney, duh!) -
I'm up at 8:45 AM and ready for a long drive from NJ to FL. I get in the shower and triple check my check list. I'm off to pick up Kris and Juan and were on the road by 10:30 AM - not bad. The ride was as eventful as a day at Auntie Agnes's house. Well, we stop for food twice and gas 3 times. And POOF 14 hours later with no traffic at all - were in Florida! It's a little past midnight and we stop in St. Augustine at a Hampton Inn which cost me 107 bucks - a waste of my money that I could of spent at the World of Disney store. Well anyway, we slept and were ready for Disney World!

Day 1 - Some more driving, Checking-In, MK, and MGM!
Ok, we took the quickest showers, checked-out of the HI and raced our way through the Disney gates in 3 hours.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00598.jpg
That was quick.
I've been so excited to check-in the CR because its the first deluxe resort I've stayed at in a couple of years and its just one of those places that I've always wanted to stay at. And the new renovation didn't help either, haha. Well, if you remember, I had two reservations, so when we got there, there was no need for bell service because all we had were overnight bags because we knew we were gonna have to change rooms anyway. So we parked at the South Garden Wing and looked around.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00775.jpg
Looking up at the 2nd and 3rd floors.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00774.jpg
Walking into the wing's lobby.
Very nice. A lot nicer than I thought actually. Yup, Juan said it. The ceilings were too low. Oh well!
Then we're off to check ourselves in. Dimitra (training Carlos) checked us in.
Dimitra: Okay, you guys are on the 10th floor.
Us: Huh?!?!
Dimitra: Looking out at MK. You guys can watch Wishes in your PJs.
Me: But...
Dimitra: What? Are you scared of heights?
Me: No. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Yes! An upgrade. It's only for one night though, but hey, Thanks!
Dimitra: And I see that you have standard view for the next 5 nights. Lemme see what I can do. (I can't wait for tomorrow!)
Well since our room wasn't ready we decided to check the outside resort area.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00607.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00606.jpg
So far, so good. Okay, so we're within walking distance to MK. Lets do it! So after a 7 minute walk (yup, just 7 minutes), were in MK! Yup, I'm satisfied now. But what should we make Juan do first?!?! This is his first time ya no!
...continued in next post.

Day 1 - Part 2
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00609.jpg
OK! So we're walking down Main Street all decked out in its Christmas gear. I love it! Am I gonna cry? Nope, I just want to cause thats what everyone else does. I know...I'm a follower.
Juan: Wow! (he says this alot)
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00614.jpg
Look at it! Wait to you see it lit up. Should we go up to it and take a million pictures? Yes.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00616.jpg
Well, anyway, we really needed to ride some of these rides. And since it was Juan's first time, we wanted to take him on something that we all love. We ventured off to Tomorrowland and spotted the Peoplemover. It was a walk-on (of course) and he loved it. (Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow) That qoute right there is just like a little fat kid eating a box of donuts. Pure heaven. They then both spotted the Monster Inc. show. I refuse. I'm one of those people that hates being the center of attention so if I got put on that screen (and I know that I would of) I would of died. We skipped it. Oh well, you can make fun of me. We then decided to grab FPs for Space Mt. and see the CoP (one of my favorites).
I got an idea! Lets call and see if our room is ready. IT IS!!!! Our Magic Kingdom view room is ready! Well we take a short monorail trip back to the resort and literally run up to the room. It room 4645, 10th floor, beds facing MK.
WOW! Now this is a view.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00625.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00626.jpg
Ok, I ALMOST cried here...but I didn't. I know its only for one night, but I'm gonna soak it up as much as a I can because God knows when I'll spend a night again in a room like this. The room was just as awesome as the view. Very contemporary look, huge layout, free internet access w/ computer, flat screen LG screen, large comfortable queen beds, day bed, huge bathroom, and the view! Yup, one more time.

Day 1 - Part 3 More Hotel and MK
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00620.jpg
Sorry about the blurry-ness. Did I mention I was shaking? Haha.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00621.jpg
I loved these sinks! I've heard a lot of complaints about them, but I never had an issue with them.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00623.jpg
Daybed and TV.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00624.jpg
Yes, they are as comfortable as they look. And look at that remote caddy! Now thats just darn right fancy.
Ok, after checking out our awesome room, we decided to head back to MK.
We first use our FPs for Space Mt. Love that ride. But we didn't even need to use our FPs because the ride was a walk on. Our next stop was Toontown since I haven't seen this section since 1997. It was nuts. I was trying to get out ASAP. But Kristin takes pictures like theres no tomorrow. Anyway, Liberty Square was our next stop. I was SO excited to ride the newly updated HM. And Disney didn't let me down. They did an awesome job with this. The staircase and the attic scenes were great. I saw a woman with red hair who was solo with a LGMH on...but I didn't say anything. I'm usually pretty outgoing too, but she seemed upset, so I didn't wanna bother her. Oh well. We then went on HoP. Most people find this boring, but I love it. The lady with the LGMH followed us here! But of course I said nothing.
Juan: Wow (after seeing the POTUS's).
Splash Mt! Splash Mt! Splash Mt! Splash Mt! I need to do this. I just love this ride. It's perfect in my opinion. It said a 20 minute wait, but it was actually closer to 5. Of course, I got soaked. Shocker there...
We are sooo hungry. We ate at Peco Bills and it was absolutely choatic. I already needed a vacation from this vacation. I got the taco salad and it sucked. Can I say that here? Well...I picked at it and we're off. Kristen and I kept saying how amazing IASM was to Juan. Saying how great it was yada yada yada. Never really telling him was it really was. Lets just say after he got off of it - hes gonna throw away his entire marionette collection. But he loved it anyway because its just classic Disney!
Wishes started at 6 PM tonight and it was about 5:30 now, so we headed back to the CR and watched it from our balcony. It was so close and so loud. We loved it! This view is worth the price in my opinion. I have no pictures of the fireworks cause to me, they never come out right, so I just had a picture of the ice castle.

Day 1 - Part 4 - MGM/DHS
I really wanted to try EMH for MGM because I've never done it before. Ok, we could not find the line for the wristbands. So we asked someone who had them and they directed us to the dino! Thanks again!
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00662.jpg
Whoaa. The line is huge. No. Maybe later. Off to the ToT! Now ToT is such a great ride - especially someone whos never been on it before because they have no idea whats gonna happen. Lemme just say we scared the crap out of Juan, haha! Well he LOVED it. And I loved it. Its not only a great thrill ride, but just another reason why Disney is amazing at what they do. Oh, and did I mention this was a walk on. Off to RnRC! Yay! We stumble upon a very short wrist band line. Took 30 seconds to get them. Awesome. I can't believe those people told us to go to the dino. Now that was just cruel. Maybe they didn't know - oh well, I hate them anyway. So, we ride RnRC and its just as amazing as before.
I was extremely hungry because the taco salad I had earlier tasted like a salt cube so we decided to head over to Pizza Planet (I know! It wasn't open because of the EMHs), well when we walked over we saw this glow from the distance. It was the OFSoL! Pictures just don't do this justice. I've never seen anything so amazing in my life. The lights were dancing to music, it was snowing, but yet no tears - they almost came. Well after a million pictures, we rode the GMR. I love this - especially the Wizard of Oz scene. This was a pretty long wait at 30 minutes, but its always worth it. Then we went one more spin on ToT and to the CR we went.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00663.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00668.jpg
We left our curtain open all night at the CR. The castle was the last thing we saw before we went to bed and the first thing we saw when woke up. Ok, its bedtime, but we have to check-out then check back in tomorrow before 11.
I wake up at 10:50...opps.

Day 2 - Checking Back In & Epcot
Well, I woke up really late! So after I get ready really quick I got down at the check-in desk at 11:05 - not bad. Well, wouldn't you know, Dimitra and Carlos were waiting for me! She told me that our keys would only work once more and to leave our stuff with bell services, then come back down. So we went back down and she told us our room was ready....on the 10th floor..on the Bay Lake side! YAY! Another upgrade! We thanked them a million times again and headed up to our room. It was exactly the same and the view here was incredible. It really looked like you were just on top of the lake. Also everynight at 10:05 the EWP would come out. So cool!!!
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00670.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00671.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00730.jpg
I just can't believe how amazing the CMs are at the CR. They are all so nice, always stopping to say hello or goodnight. They really went out of their way to make our stay a lot better. Thanks again CR staff! And of course, the CR is where I'll be staying on my next trip.
It's around 1 and we're in EPCOT!! AHH!!! I love this place. Its in my top 4 favorite Disney world parks (everyone gets a kick out of this one). Holy crap! SSE is having a soft opening! It couldn't be true. No wait of course. Heres a little preview of the ride. May contain spoliers.****
****Well first we noticed the additions of the touch screens. I thought this was very cool and different. A lot of the old ride just seemed a lot sharper and newer and the AA moved a lot faster - sometimes too fast actually. There was a new garage scene, computer scene, and narrarater. And on the way down they give you a quiz on what type of person you are. Ok, theres 2 people per seat, so really only one person can do it, which I found odd. Then they play a cartoon on what your future will be like. I think its really stupid, but it really has potential!****
We decided to get FPs for TT. I hate waiting in this line, so we didn't, haha. Juan really wanted to ride M:S, but of course Kristin and I didn't. So he rode that, while we did Ellen's Universe of Energy. We love Ellen! So, this is a must.
To The Land we go! I made them watch the Lion King Circle of Life show because I feel that its days will be over soon enough. Then we rode the Living With the Land ride and the audio didn't work! To Juan and Kristin it made no sense because they never did it before. Oh, well. It made sense to me, haha!
Oh! I forgot to mention. We have reservations at Restaurant Marrakesh at 5:30 with my grandparents. But at around 4:30, off to the WS we went. We took the boat over to Morocco which I've never done before. It took forever and we should of walked, but Kristen is lazy so she insisted we take the boat.
Yay! I haven't seen my grandparents since my August trip so I was excited to see them. We then talked about dinner and they were really iffy about RM. So, of course, I cancelled. But at around 4:50 we went to Nine Dragons in China and ate there. No ADR! It was really good, but lemme just say I spent a little more time in the bathroom that night than I should have, but thats a whole nother trip report right there...
...Anyway, its about 6:30-6:45 (yes, we had a lot of catching up to do!) and we watched some of the CP from the sidelines. We couldn't see anything, but it sounded great, haha! It was so funny because my grandfather likes to mumble on about nothing. He talks really loud. And somehow the subject about the movie Cocoon got involved and everyone started giving us the look (definition below).
The Look - When people turn their head slightly (not all the way) and look at you because your ruining their precious time and money.
Well whatever! It was funny, haha. So we said our goodbyes to my wonderful gparents and promised to see them another day (we did). So we looked around the countries. Rode Maelstrom and that boat ride in Mexico. I also took some pictures of the walkway between WS and FW, and also of the Epcot tree.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00682.jpg
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00680.jpg
And hey! Before you know it, its 9:00 and we're ready to find a position for Illuminations. We just couldn't find anything. OK, right in front of Canada. We decided to sit down in front of a group of people, heres how it went down.
Me: Excuse me, but do you mind if we sit here?
Woman: Well, no, but just don't stand up.
Me: K?
Ok, now I was raised to be polite to everyone. I believe that in life I'm here to help and be nice to people, and also have fun.
While were sitting there, their talking about us!
Woman #1: God, some people are just so stupid. (I'm stupid! Yay!)
Woman #2: I know, these were our spots. (I didn't know she owned Epcot)
Woman #3: This is not how we do it in England! (I thought we were in Florida)
But combined they had about 20 teeth, so who am I to argue?
Anyway, it was getting really umcomfortable for me and these women honestly ruined my night. I didn't yell or say anything to them because thats not who I am. These people need Jesus in their lives! But we upped and left and found a better spot near the UK pavillion. Lemme just say that the ending of the Let There Be Peace on Earth section was amazing. I heard car alarms go off. Ok, some tears came down during this part, but I didn't create a puddle, haha!
Besides that mishap with those women, I had a great night at Epcot. But the nights not over! Theres EMHs at MK of course!

Day 2 - MK EMHs
So after the mad rush of the Illuminations crowd, we took the monorail over to the MK. This will be our first time seeing the castle all lit up, up close. Look at it! I know - its unbelievable.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/Dsc00692.jpg
*Wipe tears* I wanted to slap myself because we had things to do, people to see! Actually, we didn't have anyone to see, I just always wanted to say that. We first head over to Fantasyland and see if we can ride some attractions there. For the first time in my life, I waited only 5 minutes on Peter Pan, Snow White, and Winnie the Pooh! I really love these rides because their just classic Disney.
Eventually, we went over to Tomorrowland because Kris and Juan really wanted to ride SM again. And its a walk on! Anyway, we had a really long day with changing rooms, a long day at Epcot, and a late night at MK. So, we walked back to our room, watched a Disney movie, prayed to God that we had all of our teeth, and went to bed.
AK tomorrow...

I can go those dates by the way...where did you book? And will you fly with me!? I've never flown alone before. :confused3 :confused3

Hey. My family always stays at the Borgota Casino - they have comps there. It is the nicest place. I love the shops at the Pier. Do I buy anything? No. Do I love it? YES! Did you go on the 3rd floor? It has awesome seats with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Oh, your close to me. We have to get together and talk Disney. No one in my family or my friends wanna hear it anymore, haha!
Oh, did you book your flight yet? If you did, tell me which one so we can be together. I'm thinking either the CR (if I can save) or the POR (if I can't).

Hello everyone. I will be returning to my TR on Saturday when I have time off from work.
And does anyone wanna know what lack of education means? Well, has anyone seen Fox and the Hound? Well Big Mama says it in this rhyme/song bit. Well one time when I came out of the bathroom, I was very quiet, and screamed, "LACK OF EDUCATION!" And Kris and Juan got scared to death! It was the funniest moment of my life. So this saying became a thing for the rest of our trip!

Day 3 - AK - Part 1
Yes! I love the AK, its in my top 4 favorite DW parks! I'm always upset because I don't think the AK gets enough credit for what it is. Yes, MK has more rides, but it also has been open since '71 and had time to make it perfect (which it is, haha). I think AK has the potential to become just as a good as the rest. Anyway, I really wanted to be here at park opening - but Kristen and Juan are very lazy and can never wake up. But we get there around 9:35.
This is my favorite tree in WDW!

YAY! Were in.
I have a gazzllion pics of the Tree of Life - but heres one. Juan thought it was real. But he also though the capital of NJ was Philadelphia, so I knew he was a genius before the trip.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpO3Ips5AM.jpg
Anyway, off to Dinoland! We started off at Primeval Whirl because we didn't eat yet :rotfl: . The whole time we kept scaring Juan about Dinosaur (my favorite ride at AK). He was shaking like a leaf/little girl. Well he rode it....with his eyes closed. Oh my! The ride is so detailed and interesting and I was mad he missed out on it. Oh well - maybe when we come here later in the trip we can make him do it again.
And heres the car we drove to Florida with.

I've never done the Nemo show before and I really wanted to do it because on my last trip my friend didn't want to do it. It was awesome. I couldn't believe how great it was actually. I would of loved to see this as a kid because it was filled with tons of colors, large puppets, and great music. Juan was in one his moods during this show but when we asked him if he liked it, he nodded, haha.

Day 3 - AK, Relaxing at Resort
Ok, so were on our way to EE. The wait time said 20 minutes but it was more like 5. For some odd reason, every time I go on the backwards part, I feel like I'm going upside down. Oh well - I love it anyway! Juan closed his eyes the entire ride AGAIN. He should of just stayed in the room and rocked himself on the computer desk chair. Even though this ride is awesome, Dinosaur is still my favorite ride at AK.
I needed to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch because I love it! So we took the sideways train to RPW and walked a mile (to me it always seems very long) to the actually place. Heres some pics of the beginning of the building.

The first thing I always do is the Song of the Rainforest. To me its better than Sounds Dangerous at MGM.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpWTLIlnPM.jpg
Ok, so there was some show going on about snakes. A CM was talking to a small audience of people and suddenly a moving trash can pops out of nowhere. It goes up to some lady who was watching the show and she turned to her side and screamed on the top of her lungs!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: It was the funniest moment of life. And the reason why its was so funny because now she has to admit to everyone that she got scared of a motorized trash can.
These were taken right after the trash can scare.

And no, Juan is not in the pics, he's taking them (sorry Gmax).
After we looked around a bit, we decided to leave and do It's Tough To Be a Bug. Yay! This 3-D show is awesome. And plus its at the roots of the Tree of Life (its fake Juan) and that is just darn right fun! We then walked on Kali River Rapids but we didn't get wet. Which is weird because its usually me who walks off soaked and everyone walks off dry.
We were here 'til about 4 but I cannot remember where we ate! I think...no thats not it...oh well, maybe it will come later. But after we left we were very tired and hot because thats just what AK does to you. So we relaxed back at the resort for the rest of the night. We looked around the gift shops, had food at the Tempo Grab & Go and just spent time in the room and on the balcony. Tomorrow was supposed to be our relaxing day at the resort, but we didn't expect to walk on everything. So tomorrow we decided to swim, rent boats, and go to DTD.

Day 4 - Part 1 - Resort Relaxation at the CR
So, today was the day where we were just going to relax at the resort, maybe make an appearance at DTD. Around 11, we all, well Kristen and Juan, woke up very slowly. We knew we wanted to swim, but we also wanted to do something else that we have never done before. Since we had the Bay Lake view, we could see those "cool little boat things" that were speeding around everywhere. Yes! I wanted to do those.
Juan: I don't want to do them.
Me: Fine. Then when were out having fun, you can study our state's capitals (see AK day).
Juan: I'll just go to the arcade.
Me: Ok.
So, Kristen and I took the elevator down to the 1st floor. We walked out and found the desk to rent the "cool little boat things." The CM said it was 40something dollars for an hour. Not bad. He told us we had to sign waivers. They explained that it was tough luck if we got hurt or died! DEATH?!? :scared1: Since Kristin was driving, she had to sign an additional waiver.
OK, now that we signed our lives away, it was ready to role. But first he commented something about 2 adults...
CM: With two adults, that thing is gonna move slow.
(Im barely 120 pounds, so in other words Kristin is huge.)
...Anyway, after we grab our lifejackets, we're off! The Sea Racers (as they called them) were really fun. There were certain areas you couldn't go to and you couldn't drive near the islands - but you could go to the Seven Seas Lagoon!
Then it happened. We got pulled over by the boat police.
PULL OVER! PULL IT IN NEUTRAL! He was very rude and told us we couldn't drive near the island. We thanked him for wanting us to be safe, then he drove off and ignored us. Whatever. It was time to swim anyway.
So, after we survived that, we went swimming...in December! The pool was perfect temperature and so was the hot tub. But you can only swim so much - so we went back up to the room. Juan was MIA and we assumed he was in the arcade. After we got showers, we went down the arcade. He was there.
Juan: I can't believe it! Since we are resort guests, its free.
Me: What's free?
Juan: The arcade.
Me: No its not.
Juan: Uh huh. All you do is stick in your room key and they give you game points.
Me: Um..Juan those charges go right to my credit card.
(I told the CM checking us in I didn't want that feature, but the card still went through! Watch out parents!)
He did give me the money later for the arcade, but since he did this, we had one free day of making fun of him. So it was all worth it in the end I guess, haha. But I needed to get to DTD! I had major shopping to do for myself and for my family!
(I didn't get any pictures of the Sea Racer experience or the pool because I KNEW that if I brought my camera down there, that would be 500 dollars down the drain. :rotfl: )

Day 4 - Part 2 - DTD
We decided, instead of the bus, to take our car because I heard its a nightmare going to DTD from the monorail resorts. In a short ride, we were there.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpyqFsa0PM.jpg

I knew that I was going to buy most of my gifts at the WoD store. But at a realistic standpoint, I thought I was going to spend 75, maybe 80-85 dollars. Whew. I was wrong. I had a basket and I kept grabbing and grabbing. The universe just wouldn't let me stop.
WAIT! I saw a CM passing out 10 dollar off coupons if you spent 75 dollars or more. I took the last one she had. After an hour of competition...
Coming in 3rd place was Juan with 39.99.
The runner-up was Kristen. Coupon included, she spent 85 dollars.
I won! And I never win anything...so with the coupon, 148 dollars! The worst part is, a lot of these are gifts, so I feel like I just threw so much money down the drain. But wait! Maybe I could keep everything and feel like I spent the money on myself, but then I'd feel guilty cause I brought back nothing for anyone. Oh, the choices.
Kristen and I both had our stuff sent back to the hotel, and it was worth it cause my bag was huge and heavy. When we walked out, Juan took pictures of Kristin and I with the fake Cinderella and Aurora.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpLR2zWMPM.jpg
But as the time went on we started to get hungry. So, we decided to try Planet Hollywood. I haven't been here since 1997 so I was really excited to eat here. We walked right in and were seated on the first floor. It was very cool in there I have to admit. But to me, it felt like someone just put the 1990's in a time capsule, then it somehow exploded in there. I started wondering where my Furby was. Anyway, we all agreed the food was very good and better then what we expected.

But after a lot of walking and looking around, we decided to go back to the CR. And since we drove, we just followed the signs back to the resort. Well, we saw an Olive Garden and a cheap T-shirt store. Ok - were not in Kansas anymore Toto. Eventually, we finally found our way back to the CR and I was happy again. :goodvibes

Oh man, if I were on one of those Sea Racer things (aka. water sprites), I would have taken the chance of being banned from them for the rest of my natural born life for a glimpse of River Country. You can see it when you take the boat from the MK to the WL so I bet you could drive your little water sprite over there. And then I would take one look at it an weap because I miss it like Mufassa misses Pride Rock and it's all in ruins.
Ok, rant over.
Juan and the arcade thing? HILARIOUS!! :lmao:
I always get a basket at WOD and fill it to the brim with things I don't need. And then I get home and say, why did I buy this? I'm never going to wear it again! Like my headband that has the Mickey antenna's on top. However I did wear it to work New Years Eve and got some strange looks.
Goes right along with the strange reactions we both get when we tell people we are going to DW again.
More please...
P.S. Where is Juan (or his family) from? He looks Hispanic. I am a Spanish major so I'm always curious as to where people are from.

We were a nervous wreck on those Sea Racers. You couldn't go in a lot of areas, and some areas you couldn't drive fast because you couldn't make waves, and it was really hot and frustrating.
Juan is from Puerto Rico. But don't try and steal him - he's Glendamax's man.

Day 4 - Part 3 - AK EMH
When we went back to the resort, we didn't even realize that AK was having EMHs. I have never been to AK at night, so I needed to do this. We arrived here around 8, so we had about an hour to do what we wanted.
The Tree of Life...at night!
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/php6W3lF4PM.jpg
I told Juan that we would be riding Dinosaur and that he would keep his eyes open. Well, he didn't. We did buy the picture though because it was just us and another guy on the car and Juan looked scared out of his mind! (I'll upload the picture later, Kristen has them)
We knew that we wanted to do EE one more time. This ride is a totally different experience at night like BTMR. Well, Juan kept his eyes closed on this one again because he didn't want to get eaten by the fake Yeti. Poor baby... :sad2: The picture was bought on this one too, but I'll upload it later.
But that was it - a quick night at AK. At least now I can say I went to AK's EMHs!
Tomorrow - Sleeping in again, then MGM again!

The reason why I'm doing this in a separate post is because I can't remember the exact nights that this happened. But I'm gonna try and remember the best I can!
Juan has a real problem with sleep talking and snoring. It absolutely terrified me some nights to the point where I couldn't go to sleep and that I needed to wake up Kristin because I was so freaked out. Between the sleep talking, every night he would snore so loudly, that I rarely slept. I'm not a light sleeper at all, but it was like hearing an airplane starting up :rotfl: .
Night 1 - Juan: "Never again. Never again will you do that!" (I conveniently woke up to use the bathroom, then when I went back to bed, thats when he said that! WELL, I just couldn't fall back asleep. I get really freaked out by these kinds of things. 30 minutes later, I fall back asleep.)
Night 3 - Juan: *He shot up really quick and said...* "What time is it? WHAT TIME IS IT?" (Like he cared? It was 5:30. He couldn't remember that conversation at all.)
Our Last Morning - Juan: *Kristen and I were up watching tv and there was a commercial for the Wii system and he loves video games, so he shot up VERY quickly and said...* "What game is that? WHAT GAME IS THAT?" *...then he shot right back down to sleep.*
And these aren't the only times he slept talked. These were just the ones that stood out. He would have full conversations with himself all night in between the snoring.
Well there ya! Hope everyone had a good laugh. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh man, my dad snores so loud that I swear the people all the way at the end of the hall could hear him. I sleep with ear plugs in when we go to DW and I STILL hear him clear as day.
P.S. Glenda can have Juan. Hope she sleeps like a rock :rotfl: . I would rather steal you...and make you eat very many hamburgers ;) .

Day 5 - Part 1 - MGM
There's always a point in everyones vacation to Disney World where you know that it will be over soon. And that day was today. But I wouldn't let that get to me!
Since we slept in, we didn't get to MGM 'til 11. The first thing we hit was ToT. We knew we wanted to ride this one more time before we left. Juan actually kept his eyes open this time and he LOVED it! Then, he kept bugging us to ride RnR one more time. So we went to the ride and saw a 40 minute waiting time! NO WAY! We FP'd it and decided to eat in the meantime.
We ventured off to Pizza Planet because I just love it! Plus loving pizza doesn't help either. Kristin really wanted to do a crane machine with the aliens like they do in the movie, but they didn't have one. This is Pizza Planet! Oh well. After we ate our lunch, Kristen, Juan, and I took our very long walk to RnR and rode it one more time.
But wait! We didn't do the Beauty and the Beast show yet! And I needed to do it. Well, it was about 15 minutes 'til the show started and we got pretty good seats on the right side of the stage. Now, I try to get to this show as late as possible because I can't stand (sorry DISers!) those 4 men who have this horribly cheesy act. Now, I admit, they are very talented, but honestly, I would rather ride Stitch then see them.......Yes! Their gone. The shows about to start.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpo3qONpPM.jpg
And its just as great as before. Well, besides that head in the way the entire show, haha! But it was time to do attractions that we haven't done yet because we only did MGM for 4 hours our first night. Now, I don't understand The Magic of Disney Animation. Its just a short movie on how they create Disney characters starring Mushu from Mulan. Then your moved into a large open room where you can see some sculptures and take some pictures with Remy and Emile or the Incredibles. The line for the rats was long as *#&$, so we walked right up to the Incredibles because Frozone just left.

This sounds like my kind of schedule.....maybe I need to go with you next time!!!!
Ok....I'm keeping this room #.....already showed it to my hubby and told him THIS is where I want to stay!!!
Really looking forward to the rest of your TR.....we were there the same week.....come check out my TR of photos :goodvibes
Hey! Thanks for reading VandyFan. Whenever you wanna go, just tell me, haha. The room was in a perfect spot. It was not too far down the hall, so it was close to the elevators, and we had the beds that faced MK which was awesome. Plus, being on the 10th floor was great too.
Haha, so funny. All I know is, next time if he comes, I will pay for an extra room just for himself just so I can sleep :rotfl: ! And you can feed me hamburgers anytime!!! :lmao:

Hey Klofan
I meant to ask you... what did you eat at Nine Dragons? popcorn::
Well we got the Nine Dragons dinner sampler special for 5. Its actually for 2 and 2, but they worked it for us. We each started out with egg rolls and won ton soup (awesome by the way). Then we had 5 huge dishes of honey chicken, general tso's chicken, sweet and sour pork, pepper beef, and some shrimp dish. It was all great, but I didn't eat the shrimp cause I don't like seafood. And for dessert they gave us either caramel ginger or red bean ice cream. The red bean was very good.

Day 3 - AK - Part 1
I have a gazzllion pics of the Tree of Life - but heres one. Juan thought it was real. But he also though the capital of NJ was Philadelphia, so I knew he was a genius before the trip.
I must admit that this line IS funny, but you'd better pray that Juan never finds disboards, or you're DEAD MEAT! :lmao:
Day 3 - AK, Relaxing at Resort
I needed to go to Rafiki's Planet Watch because I love it! So we took the sideways train to RPW and walked a mile (to me it always seems very long) to the actually place. Heres some pics of the beginning of the building.
The first thing I always do is the Song of the Rainforest. To me its better than Sounds Dangerous at MGM.
Whaaat? You love this? I went over there once, and almost demanded that Disney give me my 30mins back! It was like riding a train to NO WHERE? I've never even heard of the "Song of the Rainforest"! HA! Guess I wont find out what that is!
I have TEARS in my eyes! This is the funniest thing! That lady HAD to feel stupid after that! :lmao:
And no, Juan is not in the pics, he's taking them (sorry Gmax).
Whateva! :snooty:
Day 4 - Part 1 - Resort Relaxation at the CR
Me: Um..Juan those charges go right to my credit card.
...
This is just too much!
1. Glad you did the Sea Racers. That sounded like fun! I can't believe you got pulled over by the water police! HA!
2. Can't believe Juan thought the arcade was free. I'm trying so hard NOT to laugh, because Juan can beat the CARP out of both of us! :rolleyes1

1.) They were fun, but I don't think I'd do it again. It was very frustrating with all the rules.
2.) Oh, I can believe it. Did I forget to mention to you he never stayed in a hotel before and he thought the CR was an apartment and that we rented it for a week! Oh my!

Day 5 - Part 2 - MGM
After we did the Magic of Disney Animation show, we wanted to do the Little Mermaid show. Of course it was closed, so maybe next time (I've never done this! :scared1: ) . One thing that I love to do every trip is One Man's Dream. Kristen and Juan would of NEVER done this if I wasn't there, but oh well, this is my trip and their just along for the ride :rotfl: . They both actually got into it! They were reading some of the captions on the walls and looking at the model Disney parks. The movie is really great, but the theatre is always a thousand degrees. But wait, I really wanted to do the "Narnia thing" as I call it. Its not really a walk through, or an exhibit. Oh well. I still think it looks neat in there!
But since Disney pumps popcorn smells into the air, I needed popcorn...and a coke! So after we all finished our snacks, we headed over to the the Muppets 3-D. I just found it so funny that we now just bypass Star Tours. There are some things that Disney has that are old, but their classic. This isn't one of them. But as Juan would say, this is no where near ghetto fabulous. Anyway...Muppets rocked once again.
Off Topic: Now Juan, for some reason, has this real good hold on girls. Everywhere we go, they smile at him, wink at him, say hello etc. Every restaurant or gift shop we go to, it seems like they confess their entire life story to him.
We started to get hungry again, so we ate a CS meal at those places near ToT and RnR. But as we were eating, Juan noticed a hat that he really wanted at a nearby gift shop. Well, to make a long story short - 20 minutes later, he was still with the cashier. A girl from Beijing was hitting on him! I can't even get a girl to take a second look at me and he's getting girls from around the globe! But I have to say the funniest part of the story was that a CM threw out his food. We didn't even notice! It just disappeared when he came back. :lmao:
I believe it was around 5:50 when we went to get seated for Fantasmic. It was an eventful 40 minutes of sitting there and doing the wave (seriously, the wave gets so old after 30 times of doing it!). Now, I love this show. But they tried to cram as many people as they could in the theatre EVEN though it wasn't even full. Oh well, the show was awesome. And I love how Pocahontas makes an appearance in this show!
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpRMcbm3PM.jpg
We decided to do the OFSoL one more time before we left. And someone volunteered to take our picture (sorry about the quality).
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpfzvGOoPM.jpg
But it was time to go. Goodbye MGM! But we still had one more day (I'm trying to look on the bright side here!). Tomorrow, we were going to Epcot to ride Soarin', eating at Boma with a DISer, and going to MVMCP! :santa:

Day 6 - Part 1 - Epcot and...The Golden Coral?
Rant: Ok, it was impossible to wake them up. I thought I was the laziest person on earth, until I met them. One morning, Juan actually lied to me and told me he already showered, just so I can get in first and he can sleep for an extra 10 minutes! So, as the days went on I just didn't even try anymore. I just woke up at 4...and 5...and 6...and 7...and 8....and just listened to the beautiful, angelic sounds of Juan's snoring.
But this morning Juan woke up 9:30! But why? Because his precious family was coming to visit. They live about an hour away. He told me to get up at a certain time and clean because he didn't want his family to see our room a mess.
Me: I don't think so. You didn't get up at all this week and you've kept me up all night with your garbage disposal of a mouth! I'd die before I get up!
Juan: Well, Kristen, you better pick up your bras (and yes, they were everywhere).
I would continue this conversation, but this is family forum. Lemme just say, the fight they had was the funniest thing I've ever seen next to the trash can scaring that woman at RPW.
Me: popcorn::
But ANYWAY, I knew I wanted to ride Soarin' because Kristen and Juan have never done it before, and they should get a chance to ride it. But since Juan's family was coming to visit, he didn't want to come with us. Whatever. We'll go. And since we probably wouldn't be back to the resort because we had reservations at 4:30 at Boma with DISer Glendamax we gave him directions about getting to the AKL using just Disney transportation. So, since Juan was staying at the resort and waiting for his family, we were off to Epcot.
When we got there, we went straight to Soarin'. The wait was 60 minutes, but since this was the only thing we were going to do, we waited. And waited. And waited. Buzz. Buzz. Yay! Glenda is calling me to make sure I was still coming. We were! After we did Soarin', we did TT one more time along with Figment (and yes, we love this!). We also get a call from Juan telling me he is currently at the Golden Coral (what is the Golden Coral? haha) and that since he is eating already, he wouldn't be coming to Boma with us. I was mad, but hey, his family had to see all of Kristen's bras, so that made up for it. :goodvibes
Next up: AKL, Boma, and meeting a DISer!

Day 6 - Part 2 - Boma and a DISer
So, around 4 we leave Epcot and catch a bus to the AKL. We only waited 5 minutes until a bus came! It was quicker than I expected. We actually got to the AKL ahead of schedule, which is rare for us (well...Kristen really).
I've stayed at this resort before and I LOVED it. But it is especially nice at Christmas time and the tree is awesome. Kristen was in awe with this place. Now, the CR is a cool resort, but she's never seen a place like this before.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/php9ydRW2AM.jpg
I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about meeting someone who I met online. But right when I first saw Glenda, it was like we were already friends. She seemed very excited to meet us. And she was also very comfortable around us too. Well, after a few minutes of talking, we got seated. She told us that even though some of the food here is different, try it anyway. Well...I still don't like the pasta salad :lmao: !
Anyway, I thought the food here was very different, but it was pretty good. I was happy to have tried it. During the dinner, we mostly talked about where we all worked, college, our lives, etc. The best was when Glenda ate a really spicy potato and she had to break mid-conversation to gulp down her coke :rotfl: .
Glenda had to check-in for her flight the next day at a certain time, so of course, the waiter was MIA. So, right when he came, she ran upstairs and told us to meet her up there when we were done paying. Well, when she went to go check-in, Kristen commented on how nice she was! I was glad she liked her :goodvibes .
But we had to go to the MK for MVMCP and I was so excited! Juan told us he was already there and that we were going to meet him in front of Space Mt. He didn't know where it was, but I told him to look for the huge white mountain in Tomorrowland...that should of narrowed it down a bit!
Next: MVMCP, last night :(, another DISer?

Hi Klofan
Thanks for another very entertaining installment of your TR!
Isn't the Golden Corral a buffet restaurant? Did Juan & his folks leave WDW just to eat there? I think they would have enjoyed Boma better...
Your story about who's cleaning the room is hilarious... so how did you guys resolve that problem? And did one of you have to sleep on the day bed since there's only 2 beds in the room? (Sorry for all the questions, but inquiring minds want to know...) :)

It is a buffet. But I've just never heard of it. Oh, and supposedly his family is cheap, so thats why they went off-site, haha.
I think he may have cleaned the room himself. But we were in no rush to leave or clean up, so I guess he did it later. He tried to clean-up but Kristen is such a slob and she had stuff all over the entertainment center, desk, the bathroom, and the drawers, and also the night stand.
He did sleep on the daybed! He didn't pay for anything actually. Kristen and I paid for this trip, so it was obvious we were both taking a queen, haha.

Day 6 - Part 3 - MVMCP :santa:
Well, we left the resort and boarded the bus to MK for MVMCP. On the bus, Glenda gave us glow stick bracelets! YES! I'm all set. She also told us that she was meeting another DISer named Casandra and her family. When we walked in, I was so excited! I took a picture, but it came out dark and blurry (like most of my pictures that night).
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpc4aNYNAM.jpg
It was Glenda's first time seeing the castle all lit up and I was just happy to see her face! After we took some pictures in the front of the castle on our way to meet up with Juan (I hope he enjoyed the Golden Coral  ), I seriously needed to use the bathroom. Gmax told me to use it before we left, but do I ever listen? I told Kristen and Glenda that I would meet up with them at the Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas show right after I go pee and find Juan.
Well, I found him talking to some girls (shocker there...) in front of SM. But I told Juan we had to go and see this show! He agreed and we found our little group on the left side of the seating area. This was my first time meeting Casandra (MadiMouse) and I couldn't believe how sweet, nice, and pretty she was! She was with her husband and her daughter. I just love meeting DISers and hope to see many on my next trip (WHICH I WILL! :cool1: ).
I thought the show was OK. It was cute and it featured some rockin' characters. The stage was also very colorful, and it eventually snowed. Would I go back to see this? Maybe.
http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q114/pfan88/phpt7FNJSAM.jpg
After the show, we decided that we would meet up with them and see the fireworks show together. We decided to stay in TL and ride SM. We walked on it...again! Then, we ventured off to FL and rode Dumbo. Since we waited about 20 minutes for this, we saw one of the dance parties that they were doing at Ariel's Grotto. If only I was 9 again, I could dance with my love, Anastasia! But I'm just on :cloud9: , aren't I? Dumbo was like 6 seconds long. I couldn't believe how short it was! I never realized it because I hadn't ridden this ride in about 10 years.
We...well I decided that since we didn't ride BTMR yet, that we were going to do that. But as we walked our way over to FL, I saw the entire parade! I tried putting my hand on the left side of my face, but you know their parades. You really don't want to watch them, but you do anyway. As we approach BTMR, we see Gmax and MadiMouse. And if you have read Gmax's TR's, you know everytime someone calls her name, she doesn't answer, SO, I screamed it, "GLENDA!" She turned around! Yay! I broke the chain! Us 5 rode it together and it rocked my socks :yay: . Kristen and I really wanted to ride Splash one more time, and since we were here, we did it. Juan didn't want to ride it because he doesn't like his clothes wet. In other words, he didn't want his thighs to be chaffing for the rest of night! But he stayed with Glenda as we rode. I guess thats when she fell in love with him.......WELL, we got a whole boat to ourselves!!! We did get soaked, but I didn't care!
After everyone was situated, we told ourselves we were gonna meet up when the fireworks started. Eventually, after multiple calls, we all found a great spot right in front of the castle. Holiday Wishes was awesome and I'm glad I got to see it! Its one of those shows you can't describe. You just have to see it for yourself (kind of like DW as a whole). So, after the show ended we told ourselves again that we were going to meet up for the second parade. So, in the meantime we bought popcorn and soda, got free hot chocolate and cookies, and rode POTC one last time :(.
After more calls, we found Glenda and Cas in front of the castle for the parade. They got seats right in front!!! And we had the privilege to stand in the back and leap over people to see Santa! Oh well. I thought the parade was good, but again, I'm not really a parade person, so I have no opinion, lol.
I was really starting to get upset because I knew that this was our last night and also that I had to say goodbye to Glenda and Casandra! But hey, I got a picture!!! And this wasn't a goodbye - it was a see ya later alligator kind of moment. And plus, how could Glenda survive without seeing Juan in the future?

After we parted ways, we decided to do a couple more things in Fantasyland. We snuck in a quick Phillarmagic, Winnie the Pooh, and Snow White. Right after we got off Snow White, it was about 11:58 and that was it. My last Disney World attraction for a while. But hey - at least I didn't end on Stitch! So, after we walked back to the CR, I was prepared for my last night at the Walt Disney World Resort and Juan's snoring (now this was a good enough reason to leave!).
Next: Our last day :( and breakfast with my grandparents at the Concourse Steakhouse.

Day 7 - Breakfast and Our Departure
We had reservations at 9:45 at the Concourse Steakhouse downstairs with my grandparents for breakfast. So that means I had the pleasure of waking Kristen and Juan up early! And you know how they are just darn right delightful in the morning. I woke up at 8:45, and was ready by 9:05. Which means they each had 20 minutes for a quick shower! At 9:15, I looked downstairs and saw my grandparents were a half hour early...great. So, I did one last room check, said goodbye to my bed, and took the elevator down. After a while of showing my grandparents the resort, 9:45 rolls along and we decided to sit down without Kristen and Juan because we had a reservation. All we did was order drinks. Well around 10:00 they called me and I asked them where the @&#^ they were at!
Kristen: Well, we're almost done...
Pete: Ok. Did you call bell services to get our bags?
Kristen: How do I do that?
Pete: Press the bell services button. And remember to tip them!
Kristen: Ok. We'll be down in a few minutes.
Ring. Ring. I get another call. It's from Bill Gates this time.
Pete: What.
Juan: Well, they took our bags and we're on our way down.
Pete: How much did you tip him?
Juan: Well, that was impossible.
Pete: What?
Juan: Cause we have no cash.
Pete: I hate you.
Well, around 10:15, they stroll downstairs half awake ready to be punched - by me.
Our breakfast was very good! We all enjoyed what we had and our waitress was very nice! When we left, she told us to enjoy the rest of our vacation, but I wanted to :sad1: because we were about to hit the rode back to Satin's Lair! In other words, NJ! My grandparents paid (aren't they great?). So, we all took the elevator down to the 1st floor to the valet. I forgot to mention! On MVMCP nights, the CR's lot was always full. I actually saw people park there, and run towards the MK so the guards wouldn't see! I was never charged for valet, but I thought it was ridiculous because not only was the parking already limited for resort guests, but they did nothing about it! But yet when my grandparents tried to get in WITH a reservation, they were given a very hard time  !
But after we said our goodbyes, we were off on our 16 hour drive back to my normal life. After a boring, rainy ride home, we got back around 3:00 AM.

Hi Klofan
Thanks for the great TR and pics. It's always depressing when you realize that the last day of another wonderful WDW vacation has arrived... and then you start planning for the next visit!
Traveling with Kristen & Juan would drive me absolutely crazy! I don't know how you did it... your story about them stiffing the poor Bell Services guy was kinda funny, but sad... and your grandparents are very generous. You should travel with them next time... :rotfl:
I see that you're staying at the Grand Floridian on your next visit. You'll love that resort. We stay there all the time and if you're lucky enough to get a room in the Sago Cay building at the edge of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can see Cinderella's Castle directly across the lagoon and the nightly fireworks shows... :)

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your trip report and viewing your pictures. Don't you just hate that last day; especially when seeing all the exictement on the faces of people just coming in. ;) Time goes way to fast at WDW. Looking forward to reading about your trip in September.

Oh yeah, every time I go to Disney, I eat with my grandparents at least twice (on my last trip they paid for 3 meals and some souvies!). Ya know, it wasn't THAT bad traveling with them because they are my best friends, but their just so lazy. I couldn't imagine them going without me because they would miss so much. But overall it was a great trip and thank you so much for reading!

My Memories, My Next Trip, and My Thanks
So, I'd have to say this had to be my most eventful trip to date!
I've got to do things on this trip that I've never done on my own such as, riding the Sea Racers on Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon and paying for a deluxe resort myself.
And yes, I never slept because of Juan's snoring. And also, Kristen and Juan never woke up and were very lazy, but they were fun company, and it was really fun seeing through the eyes of a first timer (Juan).
But going with people just really slow me down! I seem like I never get what I want done. So, I've been thinking about it and I feel that I'm mature enough to go on a solo trip. And I need to spend time with people who are just like me - televangelists. Just kidding! DISers of course! So, I managed to find an incredible deal for the Grand Floridian Resort for 7 nights in September, the 6th-13th. I'm going to be spending time with some DISers, and even flying out with one! But also an occasional visit from my grandparents doesn't hurt either! So, if anyone wants to meet up, just give me a PM! :goodvibes
And I just wanted to thank everyone for coming to read my TR! It really means a lot that people found my trip...interesting, yes, interesting. I also wanted to thank Glendamax for giving me the courage to go solo! She made me realize, why sit around and wait for someone to go?
In conclusion, I had an awesome time, and thanks again for reading! :santa:

Hi Klofan
That's great! I'm sure you'll enjoy WDW even more with fellow DISers. But what WILL you do without the antics of Juan to keep you amused??
And if you enjoy traveling, you should look into an Adventures by Disney. You can go solo, but meet fellow DISers on the tour. We went on the Spirit of America and Southwest Splendors trips this year. Both were fantastic! Then in September, we're doing the Enchanted China adventure.

Just read your whole TR. I was laughing so hard at the lady with the trash can. But then when Juan thought the arcade was free. OMG :rotfl2: My husband stopped watching football to find out what I was laughing at.(that does not happen too often!!)
Anyway, we are going again in Sept. I think the 5-9. Not sure will have to check out my dates. It may be my DH and I or my whole family. (DD6 & DD2)
If you are interested in meeting up with us I would love it!!

I know you have been missing me so here I am!! I was at work at the wonderful Outback Steakhouse all weekend so I JUST got caught up.
Your description of Juan and all the ladies made me crack up. I can just imagine him finding a big group of them and having them crowd around him :rotfl2: . I still don't understand why they bypass you though. With that face, please, they should be lining up!!
"Garbage disposal of a mouth" = CLASSIC!! Must use that on my father who kept me up all last night!
You're very lucky for being able to go to MVMCP. The last, and only time, I got to go I was in 4th grade. And I'd be a liar if I said that I remembered any of it. Glad you got to be with Glenda who seems like great fun.
Why are you going in September dangit?? You should most definately take another trip before that in March or July since those are the times I will be there. And I do not mind getting on SM and getting soaked like a certain Juan does. September is kinda a stinky month since classes start back up.
P.S. I am very sad and triste (that was for you Juan) that your TR is over. Now what will I do with myself??

My friend Laura from work is going to be there then also. Her family just bought the Vacation Club and are bringing oodles of people with them who have never been. I hope to see her once or twice when we're both there.

Hi Klofan
So are you staying at the GF next year? Or will you return to the CR? Or will you do a split stay? I guess you still have plenty of time to decide... at least until Sept 5, 2008 yeah? :rotfl:

WELL, if money is an issue (and it won't be, haha!), I'll switch to the CR garden wing, but as of now I'm gonna try the GF!

Hi. Just found your trip report today and I loved it. You totally crack me up! I can relate to your unfortunate dealings with "garbage disposal" mouth- my brother did the same thing to me during our two trips :headache: One morning, he actually looked at me and said "Wow! You look tired today. I'm not. I slept great last night." Man did I have to fight the urge to smack that boy! I'm trying to plan a trip for September, as well. If I go, it would be awesome to meet some fellow Disney freaks :goodvibes Thanks for the laughs :thumbsup2

Very cool... and if you have some money left over, you & all the DISers can charter the "Grand 1" yacht for a dinner cruise around Bay Lake/SSL. Now THAT's an experience you can share in your TR!

Thanks for reading. Thats the same thing Juan did. He would be ready to go and I would be tired and mad, haha. But yeah, if you go in September, we have to meet up!

Its a dinner show show with a western theme. They have like country food like fried chicken and such. It's at Fort Wilderness. I've never done it, but always wanted to do it.

Hey People, sorry I haven't posted here in a while! I really missed doing my TR :(. But I was bored and decided to read through it all. I found out that there was some very interesting things that I missed along my journey with Juan and Kristen to the World. Also, I'm doing an update about my next trip.
Forgotten Moments:
-Many times during the trip, Juan thought that we were staying at the "Continental." When he was on the phone with his family who was coming to visit, he actually LOOKED at the CR map and STILL said the Continental! And yes, his family didn't know where they were going because there is no such resort!
-Juan also thought that the "Continental" was an apartment and that we rented it for a week. I know he's never stayed at a hotel before, but COME ON!
-When I found out Juan wasn't coming to Boma, I was mad, but got excited when his family had to see the site of Kristen's bras. WELL, we found out later that evening he cleaned them all up! THEN, when his 7 member family went to leave the CR for the Golden Coral, Mickey was in the lobby! They all got a photo with him with a Photopass photographer! See! I told you he was lucky!
-Not really a moment, but every night in our room we would watch a disney dvd. We watched the Fox and the Hound I and II, Cinderella I and III, Mulan II, and many others! I didn't want to mess up my dvd player in my room, so I brought my PS2 with us.
-Housekeeping was horrible. We never got any towels. I had to go take towels from the cart everyday. And nothing ever looked cleaned. She would fix our beds and thats it. The tips stopped.
-She also walked in on us like 3 times. Not her fault cause Juan and Kristen would NOT wake up! One morning, Kristen and I both had NO pants on, and housekeeping walked in. I told Juan (who had pants on) to get up and tell her politely to come back a little later. Well he yells, "COME BACK LATER!" He didn't even get out of bed, then she slammed the door shut! Needless to say, Kristen and Juan just drop back to their beds and fell back asleep. And did I mention its 11:30? And we went to bed like 10:00 the night before, so were going on about 13 and a half hours sleep here! Well, they are. I was up all night with Juan's death call.
My Upcoming September trip:
-There was a point where I was on the fence about this trip. But now I'm SO glad I decided to go ahead and book it.
-I get to see a lot of my favorite DISers and also some new ones. All are going the same exact days as I am!
-I get to go to park opening which I've never done before because I've always been with lazy people.
-I get to see Illuminations however many times I want!
Well, I changed my resort but here it goes:
-The Contemporary Resort!
-I actually booked the Tower Bay Lake View. So, now I won't have to worry about being upgraded.
-The walk to MK and the first monorail stop is the TTC transfer to Epcot is just too convenient for a solo-er.
-I'm going September 6-13, 2008.
-I'm on the DDP for the first time. I have to bring plenty of ones for tips.
-I have a 7-day Park Hopper. Also, I'm using ME for the first time as well.
SO, this should be an interesting trip for me. But I'm gonna TRY to fit in a small trip before September because its going to kill me to wait almost 8 months! But we'll see. I also wanted to thank all the people that read my TR again! I can't wait to write one for this September! :goodvibes

I am :lmao: and :rotfl: with a side of :rotfl2: and a whole lot of  (because of Glenda's predicted "Connection" )
Here is my lesson for today :teacher: . I have been walked in on by Mousekeeping many a time. And whilst I was completely nude none the less!! I remember being in the Beach Club Villas and they didn't really knock. Well my niece was already in the shower and I was getting ready to hop right in after her (don't EW! me, we have been bathing with each other since we were babies. She is 7 months older than me (Pete, you know this, however others may think I'm a complete wierdo)).
ANYWAY, I'm getting ready to get in the shower but realize I have left my shampoodle in my bag and dart across the room to get it. Well next thing I know we are having visitors enter our room. I RUN into the bathroom and scream at my niece, "Amber!! The housekeeping people are IN THE ROOM!!". She says to me, "Well tell them to come back later". And I SCREAM to her (and I quote), "I CAN'T! I'M NAKED!!!". She, needless to say, is laughing so hard she is crying.
I think they heard us because they say (with a smile in their voice), "We'll just come back later".
Anyway, Pete, I see that you are not online and I am feeling like I need to get my gorgeous sleep (my version of beauty sleep!) and dedicate my whole post to......YOU!! ;)
P.S. GLENDAAAA!! I load the DIS every morning hoping to find a PM with the dets of our soon to be encounter (if we go to Outback it will be HALF OFF!!!!!). Waiting...:surfweb:
OH CRAP! I forgot to tell the moral of that story. Always, no, NEVER walk around your room in the buff as you never know when Mousekeeping will be a knockin' and a enterin' your room!

I really wasn't tired, so I was up at all different times of the night. I'm working night shifts everyday and its getting annoying with my sleep schedule!
Its an awesome resort. Oh, and when you schedule that lunch I BETTER be included!

I see that you've decided to go back to the CR instead of trying the GF. Was it because of sentimental reasons? Or did you want to see how it feels to actually SLEEP at the CR? :rotfl:

BOTH, haha! I thought that the DVC construction was going to loud, but Juan was the issue. I was going to do the Bay Lake View again, but I wanted to try something different, so I booked a deluxe room in the garden wing. It was actually cheaper and the room is almost double the size.
