I know it is spring break and all, but has anyone gotten any discounts for March?
I am in the process of interviewing for a job and if I by some chance get the job I want to take some time off between jobs. I know that I won't have much time so I was thinking a quick trip to see Mickey would be good. (I would really LOVE to stay at AKL, but..)
Thanks for any responses.

There is an AmEx discount at the moderates. $121.00 Last week there was at least one left at Riverside because I cancelled it. Good luck!

I just posted this same message on another thread ...
I called CRO today to see if there was any better deals out there for last week of March and was told that all of WDW is completely sold out! No rooms available at any resorts in standard, waterview or concierge for end of March.
Also told the same today from DreamsRes here on DIS.
You may have to search around to find a travel or tour company that has pre-purchased rooms, or luck out if someone cancels by calling CRO directly. I don't know what kind of deals you'd get in any event. You can find a complete list of discount codes on Mousesavers.com .
Good luck!

I was just checking out prices at Expedia.com for end of March ...
lots of WDW resorts are not available, some are back up at $350 and more, but they had a rate of $109 for All Star Movies Resort.
That will probably be snapped up soon...

Well the last week is the week before Easter so I guess I am not surprised. If I get to do this I am hoping for the week of 3/18 so maybe I will be luckier then. I am just going to hold and see what happens. I may be doing this in April or not at all. First I have to get a new job!

Have you checked the Disney website. They have a winter get-a-way package good thru 03/21. You pay for All-stars and get upgraded to moderate or pay for moderate and get upgraded to WL, Cont or AKL. It includes the passes. It might be a good deal if you do not have APs. :)

We're going March 1-8 and I was having trouble getting a good discount. The last time I called I was quoted $172/night for POR (with DC discount and inc tax) or $114, I believe, for ASMovies with DC discount and inc tax, I believe. Then she said that a "special price" had come up on her screen of $124/night (plus tax) for POR, so I snatched it. I've heard of people getting better rates than that for like April and such, but that is the very best I could get for a moderate. I was also quoted $190/night standard view for AKL.

Staying at Swan from 3/3 through 3/8/02. My wife is a teacher so we are getting teacher discount for standard room/view for $129 per night.

Staying at AKL 3/28-4/1. We just reserved it the other day and we got an airline employee discount 50% off! We got a pool view room for 170.00 plus tax. I am thrilled because we were originally going to stay at the CSR (a moderate) for 180.00 per night!
