Anyone Use AMEX points to book Trip?

We are using AMEX points for package. Picked Poly as the hotel, had to pay extra for kids and to upgrade to Lagoon view room. They couldn't upgrade to concierge because it wasn't in their system. Has anyone else used their AMEX Membership miles to go to WDW? Did you get a decent room? Were you able to upgrade when you checked in?

How many points did it take for you to book your package? We've used ours toward airfare before but never used them
toward a Disney package.

I will not have anywhere near the points to book a package but will have enough for a few character meals.

Has anyone booked a character meal? Which meals are they certificates good for?

I have booked character meals with no problems but not a package. I would love to have enough rewards to book a package.

I didn't know that with AMEX you could book a character meal. Could someone explain how that is done.

Depending on how many membership rewards points you have, you can get Character Breakfasts for them. I believe it is 3500 per meal per person.

Is it all Character meals? I was under the impression it was just breakfast.

The 3 night package was 230,000 points plus about $450 for the 2 kids and $300 to upgrade to lagoon view. The points were higher because of the season. Decided to try it this way instead of buy AP's etc because we don't plan to go back this year.
