staying at OKW for 1st time, how is the transportation?

We will be staying at OKW for the first time in 8 days - can't wait!Anyway, I was just wondering how the bus transportation is. We do not want to drive to the parks, as we will be driving to WDW from NJ - that's enough driving!! We'd rather take the disney transp.

bus transportation from okw is great, the boat ride to downtown disney is short and beautiful at night. as we were leaving downtown disney at 9:00 to go back to okw we could see the fireworks from epcot far away, it was a great ride home!

We were there last week (2-15 to 2-21) and we used the busses to go to the parks, and had no trouble at all. Usually no more than a 15-20 minute wait at the longest. We had a rental car for restraunts,Pleasure Island,etc. The boat ride from OKW to Downtown Disney is very nice to take as the earlier post said.:D

We went with our 2 small children ages 2 and 3 and found the buses to be great. We never waited long and the buses we never full. We are going back in Oct... Hopefully we'll have another great vacation. 31 Weeks to go .

I've found the bus service to be uneven in the past. Perhaps it has been better over the last few months due to the decreased WDW attendance. We generally have driven to the parks from OKW.

In 10 years, and more visits than I can count, we've never had a problem with the buses.

I use the busses for Epcot, MK and MGM. If you're going EARLY to AK, I'd drive. I find that for the water parks it's better to drive, 1) because if you take a coolbox with drinks etc it's easier by car and 2) after a day in the sun the last thing I feel like doing is standing in the sun some more while I'm damp, sandy and tired LOL.
