Dinner question-Approx how long to dine

Trying to match up our dinner plans(would like to eat together as a family most nights) with the kids activities that they want to participate in with their clubs(have one in 3-4 group,one in 10-12 group, and one in teen group:eek: ) so I was wondering approx.- how long I should plan on for meal to take each evening,without rushing it ,but we won't doddle either-what has your experience been?

Early seating seems to go faster since they have to get ready for the next seating, but it still seems to take 90 minutes at a minumum to get through the courses. You can ask the servers to rush the courses but that is not always successful.

Late dining can easily take two hours.

We had dinner at the 6:00 seating, and were usually done around 7:30, give or take a few minutes.

We had early seating....dessert was usually delivered about 1 hr and 15-30 mins later...sometimes we lingered almost 2 hours, but of course, they are getting ready for next seating.

in the lab, they usually had a movie from 6-8 or so during which time you couldn't sign the kids in or out.

we had early and were typically done by 7:30pm
