laur4mom - What did you want to know about the slide?
Tinkerbell2-Yes, there are 2 queen beds and 1 day bed and a balcony.
We love the boardwalk inn. Love the atmosphere. Love the conviences to MGM and Epcot. Love the pool and slide. Really don't think you can go wrong staying at the Boardwalk Inn!! :D

Tinkerbell2 - yes to both of those questions. Except the first floor of course which has a patio
Laur4Mom - take a look at pictures at these websites http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/rescc/costcalc.asp?pageFunction=researcher&resId=BWI&submit1=go%21

www.disneyvacationclub.com will give you pictures of the pool area. There is a quiet pool on the Inn side, the Main pool is shared by both the Inn and the Villas. There is also a small playground near the main pool.

The slide goes into deep water, and your kids will not be allowed to use it if they can't swim. It's a very long slide that at times goes through darkness. If this is a concern, you might want to think about changing your reservation to the Y/BC if this is a problem. There is a short slide there that goes into shallow water, perfect for younger kids.
I LOVE the BWI, it's very quiet. And IMHO no longer of a walk than ANY other WDW resort!!

Never again way to high above boardwalk 30 steps up. 1/2 hotel is home away condos other is hotel ,a Long walk to end rooms of a terrible designed hotel, long and all trapped- for security for the condos. Walk to MGM and you have too walk all around hotel to get in, then up 30 steps???? Yacht Club is by far a better hotel , also boardwalk lobby is very small with salsmen selling timeshares RIPOFF you can buy or rent for cheap now on EBAY foreclosures and renters. We stayed in the congsig for 3 nights breakfast was great lunch/dinner snack a JOKE pretzels, chips corner sandwiches, after 10:00 one drink per adult - cheap liquor.

BWV and BWI both share the same lobby, which is small.
I do want to correct one thing however, you do not need to take the stairs to get up to the floors from the boardwalk. You just need to know where the elevators are! Both BWI and BWV have elevators that are on the Boardwalk level.
There is a corner of the lobby that does have information about the Vacation Club, but it is not like they grab you. You need to approach them.
The walk between the lobby and the rooms can be long if you are at the far end. I agree that the design is poor.
You don't have to walk around the building to enter when coming back from MGM. You can access any stairway with your room key.

I love the Boardwalk Inn! :) There is an elevator on the boardwalk level just behind the Flying Fish. ;) I can think of several other resorts that require more walking than BW.
Most rooms have 2 queens, but they also have rooms with king beds. That is what we had.
Who cares how big the lobby is?? We were only in the lobby for about 10 minutes (to check-in). Our room was large, clean, and beautiful. ;) We had a great view of Illuminations every night. ;) I think it was the most romantic resort we ever stayed at.
Also, there is a DVC desk in EVERY resort, not just BW. They never bother anyone... they just answer questions and give out information to people who are interested.
There are boats to Epcot and MGM... you don't have to walk. They are very convenient and run all day. The walk from the boat ramp to the Inn is very short.... much shorter than the walk at GF from the monorail to Sago Cay (for example).
If you don't like walking then Disney is probably not a good vacation spot. Personally, I can walk all day and I never get tired. I guess I'm in good shape! ;)

I switched our ressies to Beach club. We spend half our visit enjoying the pool and waterslide so the pool, water slide makes a huge difference. Thanks for your help! Laur4mom
