Switch cash res. for point reservation?

We are waiting for our closing on our first DVC points at OKW. We probably won't close until mid April (if the 60 day est. is accurate). Anyway, we have points leftover from 2000 expiring in Sept and need to use them in May or June. Is it possible to make a reservation as a cash customer at OKW and then after close change the reservation to DVC points? Im afraid there wont be any 2 bdrms left because it will be so last minute...:(

The rooms come from different inventories, so it will depend on whether or not MS has any 2BR's available for points.
