I absolutely LOVE the second dress!!!

I was actually perusing several websites yesterday looking at dresses (though my VR is not until 2010), and found a dress almost exactly like that one. I would love to see pics of you in it when you get it!

Caryn,

My thinking is that I'm going with red lettering on the invitations...They are going to be similar to CutiebugNY's. I have a pic of the castle I'm going to print on my invites and use the velum to print the wording on and a red bow to tie it all together. I'm using the Beyond Wonderland font. I'll try to post an image.

I love figmentfan's snowglobe idea for centerpieces. I love the CInderella Coach one that was posted from the Target website.

Oh, all your planning sounds great! I haven't seen the Beyond Wonderland font -- I'll have to look for it. :goodvibes

BTW, I read your signature quote to my DH and we both love it! :thumbsup2

I like that font!

Usually i'm really good at thinking up themes, but my brain has turned to mush after all this wedding planning :rolleyes1 How about Cinderella or Fantasyland... the castle, the font, and the carriage centerpieces all work! Also you could do a little Cinderella & Prince charming cake topper and maybe some little glass slipper favors.

I so wish I could afford to do this for my parent's 30th anniversary. It'd be amazingly beautiful! But alas, it is strictly out of my budget. Maybe for their 50th lol.

I saw that dress and right away thought of my baby sister!

Goodness, I need to stop reading these or I'm going to go CRAZY! Lol. I feel so lonely :(

Thanks girl. They are foreverbridals (Impressions). I really like yours with the sash, but I figured it will make me crazy if they are not tied/lay the same so it's best for my sanity to go with no sash. I can just hear "E" from the Incredibles..."NO SASH!" :rotfl:

So, has Carrie sent you the stuff for her fascinator? I'm dying to see what that looks like. So very retro hollywood glamour! You and Wendy with your birdcages and Carrie and her fascinator. I'm jealous!

no she hasn't, i hope she found a fab one! you should get a fascinator, or a really cool cage...a big ole red feather would look fantastic with your gown...

I agree.. they should be careful!! At my DF's bestman's wedding this past November, the bride's MOH/sister was wearing 3" heels and during the ceremony, she was just reaching to take the bouquet from the bride and she fell flat on her back. The priest walked over and blessed her. It was hilarious.

Ok...so here's the short story. I put the finished shoe on before with no trauma to the stones, HOWEVER, when I put them on to show my sister....DRAMA! The stones at the heel are fine, the stones at the toe are fine, it's the stones on the sides of the shoes that came off.

My thinking process goes as such:
The sides of the shoe are the parts that move the most when walking so this process would work on a shoe with a seperate toe and heel (a sassy, sexy shoe). Also these shoes are pleather, vinyl, whatever you want to call it, I think it would work better with a fabric (satin, silk, etc..) shoe. SO...it's back to the drawing board for me. I WILL HAVE CINDERELLA SHOES, I just have to go about it differently.

I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.
Could they not be restuck with you, or someone else, wearing the shoe while it's done?

Small update:

Karen got back to me yesterday with the information on our Epcot photoshoot. We are set for 6:45am on Wednesday 11/26. I'm paying an extra $175 for an extra hour of photography to get more than 3 countries. I hope it's worth it.

My Cards and Pocket invitations came in, they are going to be fantastic. I'll post some before and after pictures after I have an after. :rotfl:

We are using Metallic Onyx pockets (signature) 5X7 with Metallic Cranberry mats with cream invitations and inserts.

My "engagement" session with The Roots is set for our trip next month. I plan to use a photo from that to put on the inside of the invite. Similar to the one on the main page of Cards and Pockets.

The sad news is also good for my sister but sad for me. My Sister (who was to be my matron of honor) and her husband have been living in a small trailer and have found a wonderful house and they have signed the purchase agreement on it (just last night). This means that most likely they will not be able to come to the Vow Renewal. :sad2: But I'm super excited for them to be able to get out of that trailer. It's way to small. The baby (my flower girl) may still get to come, we don't know yet. I'm just preparing for whatever happens. We'll have to order BM dresses soon. The baby's dress won't take long to come in so if she's a last minute addition, it should not be a problem.

My sister is still helping me with prep stuff, so that's good.

Our PS is set for Tuesday 5/27 with Tasting at 9:30 followed by planning at Franck's. We are going to the P&P party on Monday night. I'm so excited. I'm suprising my DH with the trip this weekend. It's been so hard to keep it from him, but it will be worth it.

OK, first of all, I just saw your potential menu and I am begging you - LET ME COME TO YOUR WEDDING!!! That stuff sounds amazing (and I love that the first item on Captain Jack Sparrow's menu is turkey! :lmao:)

The way I reommend deciding what to taste is what I like to call the "What Can They Screw Up?" method. :rotfl:

Salads - no problem. But I'm thinking that turkey and the pork loin could be really dry, so you might want to try them. And if it's important that the traditional Italian Wedding Soup taste like it traditionally does, you might wanna try that too. Side dishes should be OK, unless they overcook the veggies...

Well I'm glad to help. Thank you. You had a rough day today   I read your post earlier in your PJ and felt so sorry for you. I know that aggravation though. You work through it, but at the time it's quite annoying.

So here's lots of pixiedust pixiedust: pixiedust:pixiedust:to get you through to the wedding.

Also, I created a small logo for the wedding. I will probably use it on T-Shirts and other items..Welcome bags, etc.
http://i12.tinypic.com/6wzx9hv.jpg

How did you get the writing on the logo for the T-shirts and other items. I am kind of not a computer person. I love that idea for T-shirts and such. Just need to know how you got the writing on it and then how do you print it out. Thanks.

SHE GOT ONE! 5/22 8:30am! I'm so excited. We have never eaten there before. We actually are going to be able to experience 6 new places on this trip. They are CRT, Mama Melrose, Yak & Yeti, Spirit of Aloha, Garden Grill, and Le Cellier.

My shoes should come in today, I'll post some pics tonight when I get home!

Yeah for CRT. Can't wait to see the shoes.

I agree with you if the shoes and crinnie will look too Christmasy then get some comfy flip flops and you can use the shoes for the Welcome dinner. They are really cute.

OceanGdss
05-17-2008, 09:48 AM
I think the shoes are adorable, but they don't look too comfy...I'd keep them for the rehearsal, and wear something comfy on the wedding day :)

Almost time for your PS!!!! (im going to get updating my TR so you know what to expect! lol)

Ok, I just finished reading up the rest of your PJ....:) Everything looks really great!!! I agree about the shoes though, if you don't think they are really going to match that well, I would get more comfortable shoes for the ceremony and wear those for the welcome dinner....They are nice shoes, even though they look like they could be painful after awhile... I guess I always try to go for comfort....especially if you are going to be on your feet all day, and your dress is really long....Just my humble opinion....:yay:

My lady, you have completely given me hair-hope!

I reserved Patricia for my wedding and plan on doing a trial run in October. But I have no idea what will look good with my dress. I want something full in the back and height on the top. And I have the same straight hair problem. It won't hold a curl (if left hanging) for more than 30 minutes.

Hey Girl! I just posted on your PJ about your gorgeous dress! You are more than welcome to use my pics with Patricia. She's great, I LOVE her  . She is so wonderful at making you feel comfortable. She's incredibly friendly and super tedious about her work. She likes to make sure you are happy with what she's done. And when I got back to the room that night, I took 49 bobbypins out of my hair...I promise you it wasn't moving! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Here's the pic I showed her as an example of what I was looking for.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d44/DisneyTinkerbellz/Hairsample.jpg
She didn't leave anything loose because of the weather.

Good Luck! :lovestruc

I'm so glad to hear another comment about how awesome she is! I originally picked her from the amazing feedback on Lurkyloo's TR.
Your hair pic is spectacular and I'm very exicted for my planning session in October!!

So Patricia finishes my hair. I love it! Hubby likes it too. So we get dressed, we brought some fun colorful clothes so we can get some great pics while we were there, especially since I was having my hair done. :thumbsup2

So we head over to the Poly because it's just beautiful. We take a few pics of each other. I should have booked one of the Photopass sessions at a resort, but I dropped the ball there.

Here are a few of the pics we took

I am having a trial at 9 am and 11 am engagement photos with Randy
I am hoping that we can be done with hair and make up trial by 10:30 am so that DF and I can scoot to the pics.
What do you think? Is that feasible? :confused3
