We just bought airline tickets for our 4th of July weekend cruise, flying in the night before, and I scored the La Quinta by the airport for $28 per night. I probably could have done better, as the cheapest regular rate is $49.99 on their website, but that doesn't seem too bad for a place with free breakfast and shuttle. Has anyone ever stayed there? I was hoping to get the Renaissance for $28 again, but no such luck...oh well, this one doesn't look too bad. Now we can get a good night's sleep before the cruise and have Happy Limo pick us up bright & early to be one of the first at the port.

La Quinta's tend to be a good choice. Their target demographic seems to be self-employed businesspeople who want the amenities of a business hotel, but don't want to spend their company's hard-earned dollars on a full-service Marriott or Renaissance.

There appear to be two locations at MCO. Did you get North (7160 N Frontage Rd) or West (7931 Daetwyler Dr)?

Thanks for the info., Dave! We are at the west one. The only thing I'm not 100 percent thrilled with is that their shuttle only leaves once an hour, on the hour. We get in around 10 minutes to 7, but if ATA is late as always, there is a possibility we could miss the 8 p.m. shuttle. Oh well, if so, hubby pointed out that we could have dinner at the airport Chili's. For $28 w/free shuttle and breakfast, I really can't complain!

Barb,
Visiting the 'hood! I live on that side of town! Both of those are pretty new properties. I think the one you are staying in is the newest. Hope you have fun, enjoy Chili's, my favorite place.
