Can you use t-shirts that are 95% cotton and 5% spandex? I got them at Wal-Mart but wanted to check before I do anything with them!

And also what's this I'm reading about parchment paper? I hadn't read that before. Is that necessary?

Thanks!

As for the parchment paper, I think what they are saying, is that to lay it on top of the transfer sheet..I may be wrong, but I think that is what that is about. Now, for the shirt material, I wouldn't use anything with spandex as it could crinkle up when you are ironing your transfer...Maybe someone else will have an idea, but I wouldn't use the material with spandex. Good luck:)

Thank you! I'm really having trouble finding the shirts and/or sweatshirts in the right color and size without traveling to our neighboring big city (which I would like to avoid)! We leave in 6 days! I hope I can get them done somehow!

Just for a little insight..the shirts I have bought are 50/50 blend and so far they look great..my sister made me a few a couple of years ago, and aside from a little fading...from the sun...you can see the picture... good luck,,hope to hear how they turn out...

Just made an attempt to go into the city and had to turn around due to snow. It was scary! I told my DD (who was with me) that it wasn't worth dying over a few shirts! If the weather is better later this week we may try again.

Thanks for the tips!

Sorry you had to turn around because of the weather, but I would have done the same thing:) You are welcome for the tips:)

We have shirts! Last night we were able to make it into the city and got to Michaels! They are washed and dried and ready to go. Tonight we will print the transfers and iron. Wish me luck! The directions say to hold the iron in each place on the transfer for 20 seconds on cotton setting. If there are any other tips I should know before beginning please let me know! Thanks!
