Hotel Royal Plaza to MK

We are staying at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney in March. We have an 805 ps for Crystal Palace BUT the downtown disney bus does not start until 8. We will not have a rental car. The hotel says a taxi would be $18. Does anyone have a better solution? We really wanted this early ps but I dont think it would be worth an extra $18 just to eat in the park before opening. Thanks for any help.

What about the Disney owned DD buses. What time do they start running? Just a thought. We stayed at the Royal Plaza in November. It was just a short walk to Downtown Disney.

Thanks - I thought about the Disney bus. The Royal Plaza said the Downtown Disney bus does not start until 9 - an hour later than the hotel bus.
How did you like the Royal Plaza? Did you stay in the tower or the pool rooms? Any tips to pass along would be great!

Why not just change your PS to 8:30 and take the 8:00 bus? I suspect if you show up late and just say you had to wait for the bus to show up you'll get seated without changing your reservation.

Jlace5 how was your stay at the Hotel Royal Plaza? We are booked there for 6 nights in July before heading over to the CBR? Any info would be welcome. Thanks

We ended up switching to June 5th because of a broken arm. I will let you know afterwards. I hope its great!
