We are thinking about renting a friend's home in the Orange Tree subdivision on US 27, for next Thanksgiving.

This past summer, there was construction going on to widen Hwy 27, and the interchange with 27 and 192 was often detoured.

Can anyone tell me when that area is slated to be finished, or if it's finished now? Will it be finished by November 2008?

Orange Tree is on the west side of 27, it's the first subdivision heading north after you pass the turn for 474.

Thank you!

I believe it is all finished now .The exit from 192 has its own dedicated lane onto 27 so no filtering into the traffic which is good.

It's pretty much done. There's still little odds and ends going on, but nothing that's interfering with traffic. You'll be amazed at how fast it's all moving through that area now! :thumbsup2

Is there not a new link road to Disney from 27 up by orange tree? you can then bypass the 192 if going to disney? I think its a toll road

That's the 429, and it does you no good if you are staying at Orange Tree.

We are going to use the new Western Way entrance, but we will have to go for a bit on 192 to get over to the toll road.

Joe is wanting a 4 wheel drive rental, to go on some back road he found that cuts over to Disney property, that he says is in rough condition. Crazy man! LOL

We went ahead and rented the house, it is in Greater Groves, not Orange Tree, I got the name of the subdivision wrong. Same area, though.
