Pre-trip report
In 6 days, we will be in “The World”. Even though this is not our first trip, it will be our first holiday trip. I won’t go into details on this, but let’s just say that this trip will be a “healing” trip for me. We have been talking about going to see the holiday decorations for a while, but I’ve hit a rough patch in my life, and my parents thought this would be a good step in the right direction.
So we had decided that we could go between Christmas and New Years, but after talking it through with our travel agent (who’s great since he’s my grandfather (a retired travel agent) and would do anything in his powers to help) our plans changed and we are now going from December 12 to December 19, 2007.
WOOHOO!
So our reservations were made. We got our vouchers and everything. We are a bit nervous since for the first time we don’t have paper tickets and vouchers. The company we are traveling with doesn’t do that anymore. We only need the confirmation letters and photo ID. We are still waiting for our Disney’s Magical Express tags and booklet. Hopefully they will get here soon. Our other travel agent (the lady who did all the reservations) says that she received noticed from Disney saying that everything was ok. And that we’d receive them at home. If anything, we can get our luggage and still take the bus. We are really hoping they get here because the whole point of using DME is to not have to get our luggage ourselves!
The only thing is, I’m feeling a bit ill: a bit of a cold with a stomach bug. But these things normally go away after a few days. So I’m drinking lotsa liquids, eating lightly, and getting rest. (I just received the 7th season from Will And Grace, so it’s helping my staying into bed hehehe).
We don’t have a definite plan. We never do. We just tell each other what our must-dos are, and then we work around these.
After watching a lot of Christmas shows, I know that I absolutely want to go see the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. We’ll also be shopping in Downtown Disney a lot! I need stocking stuffers. And we’ll be going to the Magic Kingdom A LOT. It is my absolute favorite park. And my life is not complete without going at least 2-3 times per trip. We'll also be going to MVMCP on the 13th.
