Hello all
We are taking just a small amount of cash Euros and will use a fee free debit card for most transactions, do I need cash for

-road tolls?
-train tickets to/in Paris?
-Eiffel Tower tickets?
-shopping/food court at the Auchan supermarket?

or can any/some of these be done with debit card. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful.
Many thanks

-road tolls? Yes about 20 euros (I think)
-shopping/food court at the Auchan supermarket? No

Don't know about the other two.

I'm pretty sure you can pay by card for the tolls, I never have but i'm sure I have seen the signs.

Just make sure you let your bank know you plan to use your card abroad so they won't block it.

OP, are you from the UK? America? other?

European issued cards differ from the cards which are issued in North America so the answers will not be the same for everyone.

North American cards will NOT work in RATP and SNCF automated machines, for instance.

Good point Bavaria - from UK so European cards. Crossing to Boulogne outward and back from Calais. Thanks to Dead-metal, tennisfan and lizbro, so cards OK for tolls, supermarket and food court plus in disney of course. Anyone know about train fares to and within Paris and Eiffel tower entry? Popped into the bank today so that's sorted.
Thanks to all - kids are going to wake up tomorrow to a plush Mickey (DS1) and Donald (DS2) by their beds with a card each from Mickey saying come and see me in Disneyland Paris on Sunday. Tinkerbelle is going to deliver them obviously. They just know we are going to France so far, travelling on Sat and staying just outside Disney ready to hit EMH first thing Sunday - actually can I check, we are staying at DCR, we will be able to get our park tickets early although obviously our cabin won't be available until much later yes? DH is planning to drive down there at around 7am to do the checkin and get park tickets then come back and get us, we are staying Sat night at Citea Residential (something like that).
Tooo excited!

Yes you will be able to get park tickets early but Im not sure how early. We got them at 8.00am last year but had to wait a few minutes as the day staff seemed to be starting work. Worth trying though.

Have fun and EMH is definitely a good plan
