They probably won't tell us anything until 3 days before cruising, just like the May 2nd sailing. Lots could happen in the next two weeks...good or bad.

Here's my gripe... IF we end up in Nassau, we will really be on a 7 day Bahamian cruise. Key West, CC, and Nassau are all Bahamian areas...not Caribbean! The islands are different and the water is much prettier as you head farther south and west. I'll have to deal with it, but I am frustrated that a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise may not even spend 48 hours in the Caribbean! :confused3
Sorry....just had to vent! Hopefully, we'll get a better deal. Otherwise, I can't see cruising a line that so obviously took the cheapest route possible in a bad situation! (They'll save tons of crude oil on this decision...)

I'm not sure where else they could go. St. Croix is over 900 miles from Castaway Cay. Other places are even further. I don't think they can get to them in just one day, i.e. spending another day at sea.

Maybe they could change the schedule around to give them time to get somewhere else (while still doing the other ports) though I suppose that would upset people who have booked their own tours. I am OK if we go there as I haven't been, But really need to know so I can start researching what to do!

The only alternatives I can see (besides Nassau) would be Jamaica or Turks and Caicos, both of which would be cool in my opinion. Both aren't too far away and could easily be accomodated with the current "route." I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I LOVE the Caribbean waters and really regret the fact that we will likely not be getting much time in them... Oh well...

I am ok with wherever we go. At this point, just ready to be on vacation!
I am looking into excursions in Nassau just in case. We have been once before but I was pregnant and only visited the market a bit. Yoni went diving and thought it was fabulous. This time, we will find a beach somewhere and do the same thing we were going to do in Cozumel. It probably won't be as cheap or all inclusive but I think we can make the most of it.
I would love to go somewhere new but am not going to get upset either way. I just hope they decide sooner than 2 weeks from now.....

Ohhhhh I'd go for Turks & Caicos!!!
I agree with you Cinda, NOTHING is like Caribbean water. I LOVE the water at Cozumel, I could just stand on the port dock and look at it all day.
The only thing that concerns us is that we are supposed to Scuba in Cozumel. I saw someone post on the May 2nd boards all the activitys Disney offers on Nassau and saw that they do have Scuba there.
I just hope it's not a mad dash for activitys and things get worked out.
Unless they raise the Level to 5 soon, we won't know much until the week before/week of.
No Worries Sonya, we'll email Tony and let you guys know!

I've never been to Nassau so that could be cool too. On the upside, Atlantis has a BIG Casio & I'm sure my dad & brother will head there. That would please them both, as their first question about the cruise was "Is there a casino"!

What a great attitude and that is how I feel. I am also just happy to be on vacation. I am not sure why, but I was pretty excited about being in Key West more than any other port. (Okay I am weird).
We too had been to Nassau before, but with a BIL/SIL who didn't really plan anything and we just wondered around the big expensive hotel (can't remember the name). So we didn't get a chance much of Nassau in our stop there.

Western Caribbean Itinerary Update
Disney Cruise Line has modified the May 2, 2009 Western Caribbean voyage of the Disney Magic to include a stop in Nassau, The Bahamas, instead of Cozumel, Mexico. Our itinerary will be as follows:
Saturday - Depart Port Canaveral
Sunday - Key West, Florida
Monday - Day At Sea
Tuesday - Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (tender ashore)
Wednesday - Day at Sea
Thursday - Nassau, The Bahamas
Friday - Disney's Castaway Cay, The Bahamas
Saturday - Arrive Port Canaveral
Given the situation, and the fact that the Atlantis Hotel is in Nassau, I think this could be a trade up from Cozumel. So, thumbs up, I think(?)

We didn't get passports. That would have been an extra $400. I know I need to get them eventually, but I don't need it now and didn't want to spend the extra money.
For US citizens passports aren't required until June 1st, and DCL is telling people they need them for any sailing after May 29th. According to the new rules there is also a special cruise "closed loop" rule, which means that if you start and end in the same port (which we do) you shouldn't need a passport even after June 1st (although the port we go into may require it). I read somewhere recently that as of now DCL does not have information on that on their website, and they also have not instructed their cast members about this "closed loop" rule.
http://travel.state.gov/passport_cal/passport_travel_requirements.php
http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/inspections_carriers_facilities/closed_loop_faq.xml
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/beforeyouboard/passportGuidelines.do
When I called the passport office Monday to see what is going on with DD passport, He assured me that we DON'T need passports for this trip, but it is good to have.
Everyone has been telling us it should be find on having BC and picture ids for this trip since you are completing it before 6/1/2009. So as you said, you should be fine.

They have a dolphin excursion in Nassau that I think Kai could participate in. I also read about buying a day pass to the Sheraton on the beach so that might be an option and then of course there is Atlantis.
There is no telling if we will end up there but figured I want to be ready. Two weeks from now will be my LAST day of work before we leave so can't imagine not having some kind of plan in place before then just in case.
Sonya -- we will leave you messages -- don't worry.

Hey everyone :)! Antsy person that I am, I just called DCL about the change in the 5/2 itinerary, asking about ours (the REALLY important one :thumbsup2). They said that they are monitoring the situation daily and a change to our itinerary could be be very last minute. Also, one important thing to share. I asked if Palo Brunch reservations on our scheduled sea day (i.e. Thursday) would be changed to the new sea day (Wednesday) if there was a change. The CM I spoke to said that yes, that would happen automatically. Just thought I would pass on what I found out :)! ~ Kathy

I can't say that I've been through anything like that, but one of my good friends recently had that done and she's had a really tough time. She said it was quite painful and took a long time to return to normal...
Wow, that stinks for your friend. In a way I guess it's good to hear I'm not the only one who's had a lot of trouble after. Until now I haven't heard of anyone else. I had a cavity once in like 8th grade. It was tiny and I hadn't felt it, and that was the only dental work I'd ever had until now, besides cleanings, etc. I can now report that it sucks as much as I suspected. :P
Mati - I'm sorry your little one is feeling under the weather. It's good that we still have time before the cruise & I hope he will feel better quickly.
I was a little disappointed to see the change to Nassau in a way when I looked it up on a cruise news site earlier. I went to Nassau on a 3 day cruise with family (my 1st) back in 2001 and when we got to the town part, and then again to paradise island (just a pit in the sand sorta) my reaction was pretty much "THIS?? THIS IS THE PLACE EVERYBODY GOES ON ABOUT???!!!" lol That being said, I guess I did have a good time and I would go back. Nassau had occurred to me as an alternative port the other day. I mostly don't care where we go, I just love to cruise and it's been so long. Yes, I had been looking forward to being in the really turquoisey water, since I only shopped briefly last time in Cozumel. Since this whole mess started, I've been SO hoping for a 2nd CC day. I wish they'd do it for ours if things are still up in the air by then. I figure a day at CC probably cost them more money, though, so I guess that would lessen the chance.
Didn't the straw market burn down years ago or something? Did they rebuild it?

I'm with you on this one. I have done the eastern before that is why i paid more for a western cruise. I would say St. Thomas or another island would be more worth it. I been to this island twice. Western once. I love the western.I just hope something changes soon.

I gotta be perfectly honest.... at this point, I don't care if the ship never leaves FL! (well, I might care... but you get me) :cool1:I'm going to be on vacation, on a cruise, not at work, relaxing! :cool1:
Disney could have just added an extra sea day, at least this way we are going somewhere. Besides, if Nassau is that bad, I'll just get back on the ship & play all day on a great big EMPTY ship!
Currently, we are supposed to do Palo that night & that might be the only thing to get messed up a bit.

I've never gotten to do an Eastern yet. The timing hasn't ever been right for when we've wanted to go. For my cruise in sept. there was an 8 day Eastern for a great price I was going to grab, but as soon as my husband caught wind of the of the basically free balcony upgrade for the "exotic caribbean" cruise that's what he wanted. I was pretty sure I'd be happy enough either way. I was more afraid of getting spoiled than anything, if I liked the balcony too much. An 8 night cruise must be nice. I'd love to do back to back one day, but my cats punish me enough for a short trip! ;) That Sept. cruise would have been our first time in a balcony room. Now this one will be. I hadn't done that on purpose. It was what was available. I really had intended to go for inside to save the money.

Tink113, I know what you mean. That's largely how we feel about it. Well, I'd want it to at least be out in the ocean. I so loved that on the 2 cruises I went on. I guess I like boats. :)
As for being really excited about Key West (sorry I can't seem to find now who said it) I don't think that's weird. I live in FL now for nearly 11 years and I've never been there. It was a nasty drive when I lived down south and from here, forget it, so it will be a great way for us to at least check out the area a little.

Mati -- Great find on the dress. Love those bargains!
Cinda -- I'm looking forward to seeing your new jewlery. I really like that beaded necklace look.
I have to say if the ship docks at Nassau I'll be staying on the ship. I've been there 3 or 4 times now and I'd rather enjoy an empty ship. I was going to stay on the ship at GC, but if this change does happen I might get off at GC and hit the beach with the family. I've heard so many positive things about CC that I'm hoping for the double dip. With that said, I am still on vacation and don't really care where we go, just that it's Disney. The last cruise I was on we ran into hurricane troubles and our Eastern Itn. changed to Western. A day on a cruise is better than a day on land anyday of the week. Well...WDW might be an exception... ;)

We did the sheraton on the beach one year. We had a blast. The pools are also included in this. Where did you find it cause i did not see it list as an excursion ? I was in nassau in Nov of 08 our first DCL 4 night. The straw market is still there we walked around there and we saw a little pirate bar/museumpirate: went in there for a couple of beers with the kids(kids had soda). It wasnt too bad. I think Cozumel would have been better but safety over anything else is priority 1. I am really looking forward to CC. Gonna snorkel with the kids and DH. Gonna enjoy a cocktail at 9 am. Desiree -- don't worry, I won't judge you. I may be right there having a drink with you on CC! It is our last day at sea after all...
Beliinda, Cinda, V and everyone else who is so disappointed we may go to Nassau instead of Cozumel -- I am so sorry. I wish I could do something to make it all better (ok, that is the Mom in my coming out I guess). I guess, all we can do is hope that in 2 weeks, either this whole thing clears up and we end up back in Cozumel or DCL chooses another port for us to visit. :confused3
I wouldn't say I am excited about Nassau but like I said, I try to be a "happy girl" so will try to stay on the positive side of things. Hopefully we will know sooner than 2 weeks from today.
Crystal -- I did a search on the main board on Nassau excursions just to see what others have done and someone mentioned the Sheraton. They said they just walked up to the hotel and paid for the use of the beach. If it turns out we will end up in Nassau then I will call them and find out exact charge, what is included, etc. I also read that you can go to the Sandals or Beaches resort and buy a day pass there too. We will look for a substitute for what we were going to do in Coz so any beach with drinks and a pool could work.
I had lunch with an old friend today and he told me he and his wife were heading out on a Carnival cruise next week. It is a 5 night cruise that went to Cozumel and back. That's it, no other planned ports. Well now, they are thinking they have 5 days at sea. He was bummed but figured he would make the most of it. I am just grateful we have 3 other ports to go to!
Ok, back to work. :surfweb:

Looks like Mom & Dad's cruise docs were mailed to my old address (from over a year ago) :headache:
Disney wants $35 to re-mail them! They keep telling me that we don't actually need them, just the forms from online filled out and printed will get them them on board. Makes me made because Disney has a policy that YOU can't change your ressie, only your TA can. I booked their cruise Dec 2007 & i was living at my old place, when I transferred to the TA, I gave them all the new info to update & I guess they didn't. They are going to call tomorrow to let me know if they will re-send them or not. The TA has to get it approved, since they will end up paying for it. Mom & Dad are the only ones using Costco Travel because we were *stuck* after I transferred and they have been the biggest pain!
:headache::headache::headache:I'm sure that they are going to tell me that since she doesn't need them, they aren't going to pay to have them re-sent. :headache::headache::headache:

Apparently the straw market did burn down back in 2001. I didn't think I had imagined that, although I hadn't realized it happened the same year I was there, some months later. I think it's been under a huge tent since then, and I think it might have moved from where it had been. Supposedly they're going to rebuild it but that won't start for a while. It was just closed for a week because the tent isn't doing so well.

Some of you may really enjoy it though as we all are different;)

I am SOOOO with you! I'll get over it by cruise time for sure and WILL make the best of it, but I now consider myself likely to be on a Bahamian cruise... If we do go to Nassau, I'm swimming with the sharks unless I can find an AI beach like we were planning to enjoy at Nachi Cocum.
We booked this cruise for such a great price that I know I shouldn't complain. However, closing my business for 6 working days costs me tons of $$$ and I just hope the vacation is worth what I'm losing...
Ok....I promise I'll try to be more positive from now on!

Shawan -- I like the way you think! "When life hands you lemons -- you make lemonade!"
I say, if we end up going to Nassau, let's make the biggest baddest lemonade we can. We can pick a beach and all head out and make our own fun for the day OR pick a deck and have our own deck party. One thing I know for sure -- with all of my DIS Friends with me, we will have a good time! :dance3:
Should I pack the mini-blender for margaritas?? ;)

What a great attitude! I also have been to Nassau back on my only DCL cruise in 2001. We did the tour of "The Dig" aquarium at Atlantis and walked through the straw market. That's really it, it was nice but I;m just so so about thinking of going back. I'd be soooo thrilled if they did do Jamacia or Turks & Caicos!!!! Oh well! The cruise will still be awesome and the reason we booked it in the first place is that it was DISNEY!!! :rotfl: We'll still have an awesome time!!!

Amanda--$35 to resend? That's insane! All that's really necessary in the packet are the luggage tags, so can you get just those sent out? Aren't they available anyway if you need more than 2 per person? Hopefully, though, the TA will pay to have them resent anyway since they were the ones that didn't get the address changed with DCL. BTW, did DCL send them directly to the old address? Both times, mine has gone to TA & then I pick them up from her. :confused3

Ugh...what a day!!
After being un-productive yesterday, I KNEW I had to get some things done.
Went tanning, finished printing off my magnets..
I went to Kinkos to have them laminate and was told to come back in 1 hr. I had 9 magnets...
I came back and half of them were ruined!!! I was SO upset. Only 5 were useable.
They were like "Oh well, now pay for them!"
Luckily I stewed a bit before going to the register and found a really nice lady that worked there. She gave me her employee card and let me log into the computer system to find some of my magents. I was able to print 2 of them off that I could find. She then went and did a different laminate with them.
She gave me all of them for FREE!!!
I was so grateful for her, cause I was NOT going to pay $6 for junk!!
(She must have used her own Disney magic....especially after seeing my Disney Cruise magnets)
So now my magnets are DONE..and I finished my FE gifts!! WOO HOO!! Finally feeling ready to cruise. I'm going to pull out my luggage tomorrow and break into my 'packing room' and get those things ready.
I'm not letting the Swine Flu thingy get to me...We are cruising and that's all I can think about!!! :yay:
Cozumel, Nassau, Sea Day, Double Dip at Castaway Cay....whatever it will be, it'll be FUN!!!!!

Oh well...
Both of these alternatives would be great and I agree that now that they are going to Nassau it is a Bahamas cruise....not western caribbean.
It's too bad, I have no problem going to Mexico esp. Cozumel at this time. I would feel differently if it was Mexico City. Maybe I am not being realistic but either way I will have a great time because I am not working. I desparately need this break.

Carole, Amanda -- so glad you got your cruise docs!
JorDan -- way to go with the magnets! You remind me, I need to tan but a bit nervous. Am on some medication that may affect my skin in the sun. Not sure what the best approach is -- 5 mins to start? Any ideas??? Normally I tan easily.
Welcome to the new cruisers! This is a great group! Sit back, grab a cup of joe and enjoy the chatter. You will find yourself bonding with everyone very quickly :cloud9:.
As for cruise -- it will be fun. I am beat and it has been a hard day so maybe losing a bit of my "happy girl" attitude but we will all make the most of whatever they throw our way.
Now -- for the bad news. A toddler was diagnosed with the flu here in Austin. Not anywhere near where I live but eep -- very close to home so.....I am thinking some JUMBO bottles of lotion may be on order to help out our dry hands from all of the hand washing and Purell. We are going on this cruise gosh darn it and nothing is going to stop us -- EVEN if we have to live in a cave for the next 2 weeks!
Cinda -- have to get on a plane next Monday to San Jose. I am assuming the masks won't really help right? Any other thoughts on how I can stay healthy from that business trip?
One question for you guys -- if you aren't using DCL or a rental car for transportation, who are you using? I am price shopping them all and my head is spinning!!!!
Ok, back to washing the dishes then hopefully can get some sleep!!!
Good Night y'all!

I just posted this on the main boards. Mabey I'm a little late but I didn't know this...
"The new swine flu virus is sensitive to the antiviral drugs Tamiflu and Relenza. The CDC recommends those drugs to prevent or treat swine flu; the drugs are most effective when taken within 48 hours of the start of flu symptoms. But not everyone needs those drugs; many of the first people in the U.S. with lab-confirmed swine flu recovered without treatment."
I didn't know that many of the people infected recovered without any treatment. The media makes it seem like it is a death sentence without treatment. I feel much better now! Let's go cruising!:boat:

Mati - I'm so glad that Kai only has allergies.
Carole, Amanda - Congratulations on finally getting your docs!
JorDan - Wow you got a ton done today!
Mati - You'll be in my neck of the woods (well sort of) we are about 1 hour away from San Jose. How long are you here for? Bring a jacket, it's been in the 60s and REALLY windy lately. We are using Budget (because I get a good corporate rate). We have the car for the week prior to the cruise (compact) for $177 and then the one way trip from the port to the airport for $50.
Just went to pick Brendan up from school (night class) and remembered that Baskin Robbins was having a $.31 scoop night. Bought dessert for the entire family (2 scoops each) for $2.48!!! :dance3:
I'm not thrilled at the possiblity of Nassau. We went there on our 3 day cruise, and then I had to go twice more for work (not as exciting as you wold think) and thought if I never had to visit there I'd be a happy camper. Been to the Atlantis and since we arent into gambling I don't need to pay for one of the excursions to get over there. I figure we might get off the ship and walk around the town, but I'm shooting for changing my spa appt from KW day so I can just stay on the ship and relax. One of the activities that we offered to our group (not cruise related) past trip was the SubBahamas tour at Stuarts Cove. Its a drive from downtown, but the group that went thought it was pretty cool. Just make sure to check to see if the bathroom on the boat is in working order before you depart (or go beforehand) that was the only complaint from our group.
I'm going to change my attitude to "as long as we are able to get on the cruise I'm going to be thrilled". I'm sure with all of you on board we can make a party anywhere. Maybe I'll finally get Twighlight and sit on a deck chair and read the day away.

Hey guys. Are any of you aware of this...
"Update from Webmaster Alex
Sorry for the delay on this, we had to have a piece of software custom written to cut up the existing long threads.
We have also decided how to handle long threads moving forward:
1. Threads will be closed at 250 pages (3750 posts)
2. Any existing thread over 250 pages will be locked as is.
3. The really long threads that were removed will come back over the next week or so. I have to shut the boards down to cut them up so I will try to do it during "off hours". We are also trying index them so people will be able to reference them. "
I just happend to come by this and we are only 12 pages away from 250. Mabey we should come up with an alternate form of communication since I'm sure we'll hit this limit pretty soon.

Just have someone start a new thread, name it the same but add the number 2 in the title.
I am on a thread for the Oct 24th Eastern and we are on thread # 22 (atleast last time I checked) and we still have 5 1/2 months til our cruise!:thumbsup2 Just let everyone now that you are doing it and then have an admin close thread # 1. I was just getting ready to mention that. Here is what they recommend in the next post on that sticky:
Folks, a few guidelines on this newer ruling.
If your meet thread is getting close to reaching the 3750 number, there's something you can do to make it easier.
Decide among yourselves who is going to start the new thread continuing and get it rolling near the end number.
Report the thread that is at the limit with a request for it to be closed. We'll get it from there.
We will of course be closing threads that go over the cap, but we'd rather let your group be involved in this, will make it easier for everyone

This is our first cruise as a family and we are excited to get away after a long and tough winter. I called Atlantis yesterday and they offer full use of their water facility for $110 adults and $85 for kids for a day pass - this is less than the shore excursion offered thru Disney. I think Atlantis looks pretty cool and our kids would have a ball. I have spoken with people with families who have stayed there and they loved it. Chin up everyone - better safe than sorry. They just confirmed two cases here in Massachusetts yesterday in a City 20 minutes from our home!

Tiffany -- thanks for that! With all of the allergies here in Austin, it is easy to get "freaked" from the cough and runny nose. I just read on CNN that the odds of getting it are small. Now -- who on the FE list is giving out Purell as an FE gift? :rotfl:
I did some research on Nassau last night. Atlantis is certainly an option -- especially if you have older kids. The best way to do this is to book a hotel room at the hotel attached to the Atlantis (Days Inn?). You book it for the day @$200 I think. With that you get 4 wristbands to the Atlantis water parks so even cheaper than buying it from Atlantis. If there are only 2 in your group, find another 2 and split the cost.
There are other options too. My kids are a bit younger so I think Atlantis may be too stressful for us (keeping track of Kai). The Sheration and Wyndham have beautiful beaches and pools and will sell you a day pass. I read that it runs anywhere form $15 pp to $40 pp (with $30 food & beverage credit). If you buy at one hotel, you can use both pools. They have slides, etc. I am thinking that is the route we will go if we end up in Nassau. I am looking into other excursions but since Cozumel was a beach day for us, I may just keep it that way.
I am tired of hearing about the H1N1 (swine) flu. You can't buy any hand sanitizer or masks at the store anymore -- they are sold out. They cancelled the school carnival for Saturday. Me and my sister were wondering how that is so much different than the kids all going to school together every day. The carnival is outside so if anything less confined but I guess they are being safe rather than sorry!
Jane -- I am in Santa Clara (at the Hyatt) for a conference. It starts Monday afternoon and ends Wednesday. I fly home @6pm local time on Wednesday night. I am not sure what my schedule looks like but hoping to have some free time to do a bit of shopping. Any suggestions?
Kathy -- will start to tan this evening. I need to workout (missed it yesterday with Kai's doctor visit) so may go after my run/walk. I think I will start with 8 mins and hope I don't burn. Wish me luck!!!!! As my sister said, fat looks better brown! :lmao:
Ok in the office again today with more deadlines so off to work. I hope everyone has a FABULOUS day!!!!!

Mati: I guess a mask on the plane might not be a bad idea, if you don't mind wearing it! Otherwise, take Vit. C and hope for the best! (I think the odds are in your favor of NOT getting the flu!)
I also looked into the hotel by Atlantis yesterday. It is about $200/night but the taxes are around $81! Plus, if it's 4 adults, they charge an additional $80! So, the total bill is around $369 on the Sam's website and divided by 4 that would be $92 pp (no food/drink/etc. included). We'll wait and see what happens before I make any hard plans...

Yeah, I was bad and missed working out last night too :scared1:. Brian and I went to see an Irish band at a local Irish pub here in town. They are a group of 3 sisters plus an additional drummer and guitar player. Their name is Searson. We first saw them a few years ago at Indy Irish Fest in Indianapolis (back when "my" beloved Off Kilter used to play there too ). They actually played at Raglan Road at Downtown Disney a few years ago for a few weeks. For any of you Off Kilter fans, Head Honcho Bob really has a "thing" for Heather, their bass player. I told her last night that we had a day in Epcot in a few weeks and we would tell Head Honcho Bob that she sends her love .
I SOOOOOOO agreee with your sister ("fat looks better brown") :lmao:. In fact, as I was trying swimsuits last night, that EXACT thing popped into my head as I looked at my view from the rear :yay:.

:And speaking of the first two posts, does anyone have any objections to me starting the new "Part 2" of our cruise meet thread? I'll probably just copy & paste all the info that we have already on the first two posts, but I'll probably try to make it into three posts since I'm running out of room for pix, etc. Dave--thanks for the info! :thumbsup2
Val ~ I have no objections at all to the new thread :thumbsup2. You have done such a great job with this one :worship:. ~ Kathy

Val go ahead and start a thread, you are kinda the ring leader in all this. :surfweb:
:scared1: I AM?!?! I think I'm just the weirdo that booked 17 months in advance and couldn't stand not having a cruise thread to go to! :rotfl2: I think we have a GREAT bunch of people who are ALL helping out to make this an awesome experience!! Jane--the FE ring leader, Amanda--the wrist band ring leader, Mati--the tastings ring leader, all the reservation linking ring leaders, Lynsey--the mini nav ring leader, etc., etc., etc. We're ALL doing our part to lead us to a great cruise! :goodvibes
I better get to working on the new thread since it might take me awhile to get it looking just right! I'll probably start it and just put up 3-4 quick posts and go back and edit them later, probably tomorrow or sometime over the weekend.

Val - go for it!:thumbsup2
I just have to say that we originally booked for cruising this week (Eastern with first stop to Tortola). When they left on Sat, I have to say that they only hit 72 pages!! Oh my goodness, can you believe that?
ONe thing I did see on their thread as I was being nosy (not really), was that on the last few pages, someone posted a map with the FE info on it.

Has anyone done this here? I remember someone mentioning a map of the decks but can't remember any more than that!:upsidedow This makes it nice and easy!
Trying to look into the Nassau options as we haven't been there. Like Cinda, I love the caribbean waters..nothing like it. I would still get off in Cozumel but am creating some arguments with my overly protective husband!:rolleyes1If we go, I guess I'll get off by myself!
Have a great day!

Here it is for when we need it!! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31598316&posted=1#post31598316 I put up four posts to begin with so in case we have a huge influx of new cruisers in the next two weeks (like we have lately!), we should have enough room for everyone to have their pix up.
So do I need to tell someone in charge of the DIS that we're getting close to shutting this one down?

I am the middle of unpacking!!! Have packed so much stuff I need to narrow it down. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS TIME TOMORROW WE WILL BE DRIVING TO THE AIRPORT WITH A BOX OF KRISPY KREMES FOR COMPANY (diet not going so well :sad2:)!!:cool1:
Here are excursions someone posted that Disney has done at Nassau:
Thanks for finding these up! Nothing appeals that much, so think I will wait and see what you are all doing, and follow someone, somewhere! Dont think we are doing any trips that any of you are on! In fact, I have no time to research so you will all have to tell me what I am doing at port :rotfl2: I am still secretly hoping for a double dip, but anything will do! Can't we all email and say thats what we want?!
Carissa and I have allergies, too. With the whole swine flu thing I'm worried that anyone with any cold/allergy symptoms would be denied boarding.
I saw on another thread it may be a good idea to get a note from your Doctor, confirming that allergies are likely to be the reason for the symptoms :thumbsup2
:dance3:
Should I pack the mini-blender for margaritas?? ;)
Woo hoo!!!!
Ugh...what a day!!
After being un-productive yesterday, I KNEW I had to get some things done.
Went tanning, finished printing off my magnets..
I went to Kinkos to have them laminate and was told to come back in 1 hr. I had 9 magnets...
!!!!
Well done on getting them free!!! I love luck like that!!! We somehow got 21 day Disney hopper tickets AND airport lounge access free this year, worth about $600 total. Someone messed up bad at the travel agents!!!!!
I didn't know that many of the people infected recovered without any treatment. The media makes it seem like it is a death sentence without treatment. I feel much better now! Let's go cruising!:boat:
I know, I can't believe I fell for all that hype and ruined several days planning. I cant wait to get to Disney!!!!
I'm going to change my attitude to "as long as we are able to get on the cruise I'm going to be thrilled". I'm sure with all of you on board we can make a party anywhere. Maybe I'll finally get Twighlight and sit on a deck chair and read the day away.
Jane
Great attitude!!!:goodvibes
I must say the best thing about tomorrow finally coming is that I can get cracking on the next Twilight book!!!
Hello to all... just stumbled upon this site. we will be going on this cruise. Me my wife and 2 kids. my son is 8 and daughter is 9. just booked this trip a few weeks ago and still didn't sign up for any excursions yet. can someone recommend any? Hi everyone! I came across this thread for the cruise and I had to join in. This will be my sixth Disney Cruise, but my first on the Magic. I am 21 years old and I am celebrating my graduation from college party: I am traveling with my mom, and recently my cousin and her fiance decided to join in on the fun (I mean who wouldn't)! I hope everyone is getting excited and ready to soak up some sun :cool1:
welcome! We are starting a new thread since this one is getting close to the posting limit. Be sure to subscribe to this one too: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31599928&posted=1#post31599928

Val, It's not a contest, but this thread has 2-1/2 times the pages of the May 2 group. So you have done so much work to keep this going! I was looking at the May 2 cruisers' thread just to get a sneak peek at their last-minute activities, and also to see how the cruisers were handling the itinerary change. I would be happy to go to Nassau, because I have not been there in decades--I really want to check out Atlantis. On the other hand, I have been to Cozumel twice in the last 2 years--I feel really badly for the people there who depend on our business. On the "other" other ;) hand, the worst thing a cruise ship can do is take a chance on a contagious disease. I hope this flu dies out quickly, because there are a lot of Mexican families whose lives are really disrupted right now. Let's hope they weather this--it has the effect of a hurricane, I guess, without the wind and water.
See you on the new thread, Barbara

Was anyone else shocked by the order of the Idol results last night? I was surprised to see Adam in the bottom 3 and Allison in the top 2! But, I do think that Matt going home was the right choice. They ALL sang awesome on Tues, though!
I would like info and photos posted, i sent you a message just not sure if it went through. like i said new here and dont know how.

My Wife and I are going for our first anniversary. This is our first time on the Magic. We've been on the Wonder 4 times so far. I'm looking forward to it. How do I book Palo brunch? I'll post more later, at work.
