Chritmas, but purely secular.
If purely secular means that you celebrate eeksmas in the putting up a tree and opening presents sort of way, but not in the going to church and celebrating the birth of Jesus sort of way, then ditto.

Secular basically means without religion. :tilt: So yes, you're right!

Christmas also non religious. But coming from a catholic family and not really supporting the whole religion bit - annoys my family. You should have seen their faces when I told them I wasnt getting confirmed. A pretty picture.

CHRISTMAS!
But in a secular-ish way.
I'm Catholic, I'm confirmed, yadda yadda.
But my family is basically non-practicing.
I go to church probably once every year or two, and I haven't been to church on Christmas probably in five years.

Secular Christmas at the best. We might not even celebrate it this year. -.-

Secular Christmas.
I keep the religion out of most of my life (the only exception is a couple of Christmas carols, like O Come All Ye Faithful).

christmas, mass and all (not my favorite thing in the world:rolleyes: )
We have a pretty nice christmas routine from year to year, and I personally LOVE everything about it, from TV (new.doctor.who.special!) to the food
-and my uncle is even coming home from Manhatten with his wife :D

It is.
Anyways, I celebrate Christmas partially religious. We go to church sometimes but eh, not really...
I celebrate a non-religious Christmas with my Christian family, a semi-non-religious Hanukkah with my Jewish friend, I don't have anybody to celebrate Kwanzaa with (but I do actually know what it is..sorta), but personally, I celebrate the Winter Solstice on a religious level.

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but what exactally IS the winter solstice?
I know I've learned about it before, but I can't remember...
And someone asked a few pages back what Kwanzaa was.
It's a holiday based off of African harvest celebrations, and different traits are celebrated every night. It's basically a holiday to celebrate the African American culture, as well as family, sharing, and other values shared in religious holidays like Christmas.

The Winter Solstice is Shortest Day (Longest Night) of the year traditionally falling on the 21st or 22nd of December. It falls on the 22nd this year.
The Summer Solstice is the Longest Day (Shortest Night) of the year traditionally occuring on the 20th or 21st of June. It falls on the 21st in 2008.
I also celebrate the equinoxes (days when the sun can be found directly aligned with the equator). The Spring Equinox falls on the 21st of March in 2008. The Fall Equinox will fall on the 23rd of September in 2008.
Then comes Halloween. My own Birthday is the top of the list, though.
