I have seen some really lovely bridal bouquets in pictures posted here, including sunsh1ne and allisonswonderland. Seeing pix here has been so helpful.

For example, I had never heard of rosini roses or stefanotis and now I am so totally in love with those flowers.

Autumnbride (IIRC) had a gorgeous pin in the handle of hers, another idea I never would have thought of but which is so beautiful!

In one of the bridal magazines I was looking at, they showed tiny little locket pics of the bride and groom hanging from ribbons on the holder of the bridal bouquet and I am thinking it might be nice to carry DH and my wedding picture from 24+ years ago that way.

Even the color combinations I have seen here are beautiful and creative, some traditional and some so individualized.

Were you happy with your flowers? I'd love to see pix and hear about any other wonderful ideas! :cloud9:

I'm still in the planning stages, but here's my inspiration:

DF and I love boating and fishing, so instead of jewels we're adding tiny blue and white fishing lures to his bout and my bouquet (minus the hooks of course). I've never seen a pic of this... so it should be fun to explain to my florist!! :rotfl:

Kristen -- Oh, my goodness, that is beautiful! And what a clever idea to use the lures! Did you see the recent spread in one of the bridal magazines on the nautical themed wedding? It was so beautiful and clever! Two of the young boys attending were wearing blue seersucker striped jackets. Wayyy too cute! Do you want me to find which magazine that was? Or have you already seen it?

No, I haven't seen that!! Which magazine is it in? I'm always looking for new ideas... Our theme is "Under the Sea"

I have three at home right now and I can't remember which one it was in. I will check tonight and let you know. The theme was more nautical, though, with nautical flags decorating the cake, etc. But you might see some things you like. Also, the couple was photographed on a marina. Is there any chance your photographer would do that for you if you wanted? Seems to me there are several marinas at WDW that might work. :)

I'll definitely PM the information to you tonight.

Thanks! I'm definitely interested in finding that magazine!!

Funny you should mention taking pics at a marina. Randy Chapman is our photographer, and I actually talked to him yesterday about taking our pictures on a beach... Disney likes all Wedding Pavilion brides to take their pics in the Grand Floridian, but DF and I feel very uncomfortable there... It's too fancy for us. We're more laid back beach/boat kinda people. So Randy suggested the marina at the Grand... he's done quite a few shoots with the Grand 1 in the background.

I actually saw someone's pics who were ON the Grand 1, IIRC and there were pics that appeared to be taken from land and from on the vessel. GORGEOUS!!!

This is the picture I used for mine, but we're going to use mums instead of peonies and veronicas instead of lily of the valley.

I never thought of going ON the Grand 1... I wonder if that's a possibility, or if it's only for people having their ceremony/reception on board.

Mine was simple, ivory roses with dark red spray roses. I didn't want any greenery or ribbons or anything besides the roses. There were at least 3 dozen roses and it was SO heavy!

This was my BFF's (non-Disney wedding). I loved it! She had white roses and orchids. It was gorgeous! They wrapped the stems in a plaid tartan, as her DH is half Scottish and he wore the family tartan for the ceremony.

Here is my bouquet. I absolutely loved it. They are cymbidium orchids and fuschia calla lilies. Rose at Disney floral did exactly what I wanted. We had a subtle fireworks theme in our decorations, invitations, programs, etc. That is why I had her put some crystals in the flowers.

These are my girls' flowers. My MOH carried the orchids and the others BMs carried the calla lilies.

This is a shot of the pin on the handle of the bouquet. It belonged to my grandmother and I wanted to have something special of her's with me since she couldn't be at the wedding.

This is flower picture that I photoshopped (badly) to show Rosie. This one contains irises, forget-me-nots, and jasmine (from dark to light). I believe my Disney one will contain light blue hydrangea and stephanotis swapped in for the two lighter flowers.

Katie,

Your bouquet is beautiful. Are they lavender colored roses? I think I want something like what you have, but with some stephanotis mixed in there too.

KT27

Yes, they were a lavendar color. I originally wanted sterling roses however my florist (Emily @ Charming Events) recommended Allure roses and thats what we went with. She said they open very full and would work well in the bouquet that I chose.

Check ebay, I got them cheaper on there :)

If I'm using Disney Floral, will they put these in if I buy them? or will they do it for me, with their own jewels, "for a price" :rotfl:
