Hotel Recommendations for the Laguna Area

My husband and I usually stay at either the St. Regis or the Ritz Carlton out there, but next trip we take we are taking all three kids (ages 6, 4 and 10 months) and want something a little more "family friendly." Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for the area? We want to be as close to the beach as possible, at a nice hotel with some room to spread out in.
