Has anyone done the Polar Express at Seaworld? It sounds very fun. I love this movie and book....

According to Sea World's official website and a banner at the park, The Polar Express Experience runs through January 1.

When do you leave? We go to Disney on Dec18th. But we leave in 11 days as we are styaing in an hotel near airport for early morning flight! Kids excited as vacation starts then!

Ive been on it. First you go to this room and you watch a 5 min video abiut the movie. And all the workers are dressed as conductors. Then you go to the simulator and its actually parts of the movie. Then when you get off Santa is waiting there to take pictures.

We leave on the 21st (driving) and will arrive on the 22nd. My son's girlfriend is flying down on the 26th so we are waiting for her to go to Sea World. She hasn't been there since she was 3 (18yrs ago). Boy is she in for a great surprise. I just wish we could see the Shamu Christmas :sad2:, but I guess the Polar Express runs through the 1st. :woohoo: Hope you have a wonderful trip. We can't wait :yay: and I am much too old to be this excited. :rolleyes:

On the "moving" version of the ride, they are basically theater-type, with seatbelts. You get jostled around a fair amount.

I haven't been on the "non-moving" version in about 3 years, since my goddaugter was little, but as I recall, those were bench-type seats.

Re: Polar Express itself. The overlay is nice, they put a lot of detail in the "train cars" to disguise the fact they were "helicopters" a month ago. I was a little disappointed in the film, tho--as far as I could tell, no new footage, just scenes from the movie re-edited. Also, it's not always from the same point of view, which makes it harder to suspend disbelief.

I will say the "elves" both in Santa's workshop and down by the Waterfront do an amazing job, be sure to say "hi".

i think they should keep it around for an extended time...it would do good!!!

Latest word is that, due to popular demand, Polar Express' run will be extended to January 7 or 8.
