Lauren is taking French in high school. When we were in Paris last summer it really made me want to learn French. The scene at the bistro with our friends where the poor waiter spoke no English and us no French was absolutely hilarious. The owner was in the background rolling on the floor. Lauren asked for the bill in French - and the waiter was like "WHAT?" finally had to show him the iPhone so that he could see what we were trying to say....

I can usually figure out Italian and Spanish - French was more difficult.

Pixie Dust for a DIS cruise friend's ongoing health concerns who was supposed to join the Blabbermouth Group on our 2006 cruise. Unfortunately, he was not able to join us on the cruise. He did travel down to join a few of the pre-cruise meets and He watched us sail away from the jetty beyond the pier - it was a bittersweet sail away. Our group still chats and we're hoping to coordinate a reunion cruise so he can sail away with us next time!

I think this usually means Crystal Palace. I took me a while to remember it though. There are just so many abbreviations, it's impossible to keep up with them all.

What time in the AM should we leave CBR to get to RD at MK? We have an ADR at CRT and we want to use FP for BTMRR before PHing to DHS for ToT, F! and EMH.

If you can understand all that, there's something seriously wrong with you.

CP does stand for crystal Palace sorry have a bad habit of abrev everything. Oh my i could read the whole sentence and knew what it is saying. I'm in trouble.

Virgil,

I guess I lucked out - I did my homestay the summer of 84 during the LA Olympics. Everywhere I went, everyone wanted to practice their English. Then again maybe I didn't luck out - I had to sing the national anthem every time it was shown (and they televised all the events and medal ceremonies...) - It seemed like the US won every medal that year!!!

1: What is your favorite movie genre? Action/Adventure

2: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? Star Wars would also be my choice if allowed. Otherwise, I'll go with It's a Wonderful Life. I truly get choked up every time I watch it every Christmas Eve.

3: What kind of music do you like? Classic rock from 70s and 80s as well as classical.

4: How do you like to listen to it? (I-pod, CD, cassette, good ol' LP, etc.) CD is still preferred, but I'm really starting to appreciate the convenience and packaging of the whole iPod/iTunes system.

5: If you could go to one place to visit - where would it be? I've always wanted to see Angkor Wat, and was very close when we visited Thailand. The the extra hop over to Cambodia didn't fit into our plans.

6: Do you speak a foreign language? If so, which one? If not, which one do you wish you'd learnt? A little bit of Fench, a little bit of Spanish, a little bit of Russian, and a little bit of German. I'm too horrible a student and too reluctant a speaker to learn any language all the way. I have to say, I think Russian is my favorite.

7: If you could meet one person on earth, who would it be? I was trying to think of someone noble like Nelson Mandela, Barak Obama, or the Pope. But honestly, I'd love to meet Ozzie Smith - my favorite past player on my favorite baseball team.

8: What car do you drive? If Joann#2 is claiming the Toyota Highlander (I guess the title is in her name), I guess I'm left with the Chrysler Town&Country - the minivan.

9: What is your dream job? Travel review writer (if only I didn't have to write so much).

10: How long have you been planning this cruise? See Joann#2's answer.

2: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? Field of Dreams. DH would pick - It's a Wonderful Life

3: What kind of music do you like? Classic rock, new age and jazz.

4: How do you like to listen to it? (I-pod, CD, cassette, good ol' LP, etc.) I-pod and gold ole' fashioned radio

5: If you could go to one place to visit - where would it be? Oooh, so many. Greece, Alaska, Australia, China, Israel, Egypt...... I can keep going on and on.......

6: Do you speak a foreign language? A little French in High School, DH did too, but that was too long ago to remember more than a few words with a terrible accent.

7: If you could meet one person on earth, who would it be? Condoleeza Rice

8: What car do you drive? Both DH & I have different colored 2007 Chevy Impalas

9: What is your dream job? Teaching. I still marvel that I get a paycheck for having such a great time!

8: What car do you drive? Ford Focus but it will be a Toyota Prius when I get my next car.

9: What is your dream job? Driving the monorail.

10: How long have you been planning this cruise? Since I rebooked on our last cruise in 2005.

Here's a little quiz to get to know each other better as we head into the home stretch:

1: What is your favorite movie genre? Romantic comedy

2: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? This is hard...I love Glory, if I went with my genre it would probably be Pretty Woman
3: What kind of music do you like? light rock

4: How do you like to listen to it? (I-pod, CD, cassette, good ol' LP, etc.) iPod

5: If you could go to one place to visit - where would it be? DCL!! I would love to go to Australia sometime though
6: Do you speak a foreign language? no If so, which one? If not, which one do you wish you'd learnt? I've tried to learn both Spanish and Dutch. Sadly I have no gift for language.
7: If you could meet one person on earth, who would it be? I would love to talk to Abraham Lincoln but since he's no longer alive I'll pick Robin Williams.

8: What car do you drive? Nissan Quest

1: What is your favorite movie genre? Romantic comedy and musicals running a close 2nd.

2: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? The Holiday at the moment. White Christmas is an all time favorite.

3: What kind of music do you like? All, especially those that I can sing along with. It depends on my mood or what I am doing at the time. In the car it's definitely, sing-along. Radio when I want someone else to make the choice.

4: How do you like to listen to it? (I-pod, CD, cassette, good ol' LP, etc.) CD. I tried an i-pod but there were too many choices :confused3

5: If you could go to one place to visit - where would it be? Tahiti with a stop at the new vacation club in Hawaii. Actually, I want to get on the DCL ship in CA and cruise to Hawaii visit the DVC (when it's finished) continue on the ship to Tahiti stay a few days and get back on the ship and redo what I had done from the start backwards.

6: Do you speak a foreign language? If so, which one? If not, which one do you wish you'd learned? Elementary School French, High School Spanish and I'm not very good at either. Are you kidding I'm still trying to perfect my English :rotfl: I just don't seem to be speaking the same language with my kids and their friends most times.

7: If you could meet one person on earth, who would it be? Pope John Paul II, I have always admired him. Present day, Michelle O'Bama

8: What car do you drive? White (no my favorite color) Ford Escape with varing MM antenna toppers depending on the time of year.

9: What is your dream job? Main Street gossip in WDW. Of course if my memory gets any worse I wouldn't be able to remember what the gossip was from one side of the street to the other.

10: How long have you been planning this cruise? Since I realized that we couldn't affort to go on the European 2010 cruise. It's always when we are coming to the end of one cruise we are thinking where the next will be. We just can't get enough.

Finally caught up....I think......

Getting some things done for the cruise this week. We finally broke down and applied for our passports today. I had to have my DS and mine photos re-done from earlier this week. From the look of the photo apparently my DS had spent time in prison. :lmao: It was a terrible photo. Plus they made him put his short hairs behind his ears??? And I looked like the crypt keeper. I asked my DH if that was what I really looked like because it wasn't the face I usually see in the mirror. Plus I ended up with blonde hair when my hair is brown. Love the new pictures now. Glad I had them re-done.

I have 48 individual FE gifts that just need to be packed. Not sure what I will do if we go over 48 since I can't get anymore. I wanted to be ahead of the game this time. Last time I did Disney Cruise CDs for each cabin, and personalized DIS group logo chocolate bars. And for a few friends, I made Mickey Mouse flannel pillowcases. All of this took time, although I did like the CDs. A fellow DISer had made and gave away 2 CDs of Disney cruise music plus some other summer songs. I took just the Disney songs and copied to one CD. It worked out.

I tried to pay off the cruise today but the AAA agent is away until Monday.

Joann #2....love the Easter Egg Hunt pictures!!!! What beautiful girls you have in your life. Your egg hunt photos brought back so many memories of egg hunts we used to host. We started small in the first year and ended up filling 2000 eggs for our next to the last egg hunt. It took forever. I remember the kids and I sitting around just filling eggs for a few days. The last egg hunt we had we changed it up a little since they were older. We did a night time egg hunt with flashlights. It was a lot of fun. Found some of those eggs in the summer though. Enjoy your other egg hunt this weekend.

Thanks. I can't believe how much I had missed. Once they added those teenagers to my class a few weeks ago, I was just wiped out on all levels. Who would have thought a handful could be so stressful? We are an adult program and they just aren't ready for it. :confused3 And I know I'm the last stop for them getting their diploma. Luckily I team teach with a wonderful woman who is there for support. She shares the same teenagers. Anyway, things should lighten up in a few short weeks. I only have 5 more math classes to teach.

The trip to New Mexico will be fun for my guys but we are now into fine tuning this trip. My DH is leading 23 people on this trip. First thing is to arrange transportation from where we live to Dullas Airport which is near DC and about 2 hours away from home. They haven't been given their flight times about told it would be around 7 AM. The return isn't any better. They should return around midnight. One estimate for 12 people was $900. When I think of the cost of a towncar to Port C., it doesn't sound so bad.

And I finally made reservations to WDW for the Food and Wine Festival for just my DH and I. I was excited because it was the first time I have ever recieved a pin code. Nice to save 40% off the resort rate. I've always wanted to go to this event and see the Halloween decorations. Still not sure I can leave the kids behind?

Nite all.....................

Boy, did I need that good news:yay:....we've had a rough week - lost a really GREAT friend, who was also coming on this cruise......never, EVER experienced what I experienced this week. In fact, not just me, our whole family.....Enough said...don't wanna bring you down!:grouphug:

Bob, Tyler and I are headed to Washington DC early tomorrow morning, for a short vacation, coming home Sunday night....we were going to cancel our short trip, but we really, really need to get away....I won't be taking our computer so I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.....enjoy your time with family and friends.

Lucy - We are thinking about you! Wish I could be in DC this weekend to give you a big hug.

Thanks!

The eggs are all stuffed and ready to go for tomorrow. Now I just need to clean the house and figure out where I'm going to put 60 people for a brunch buffet. :confused3

You know we're from the Fairfax County area and when we go home for leave or training or something, we generally use hotwire or priceline. DH got us a 4-star hotel room in Tysons Corner for $80/night for this summer. Maybe you should consider spending the night before the early morning flight?

Did I misread your post? Are you bringing 23 people on this cruise!?!?! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

OMG :scared1: 60!? wow, I thought my group of 15 was bad. I got all the leaves raked out of the perennial garden yesterday, the boys just have to finish bagging. DH got the waterfall running again- a sure sign of spring! Today I can concentrate on the house. It needs a lot of concentration.

Thanks for the hotel thought.

My DH is taking 23 adults/teenagers to New Mexico for 12 days. They come back on the Monday night before the cruise. My DH won't return to work until that Wed. This is one of the reasons he won't be joining us on the cruise. :sad1: He just can't take off 4 weeks in a row. Since our DD will be going to high school this year, she wants to try out for the soccer team. This will be on Aug. 15, the time we usually take a family vacation. The timing just isn't working for us as a fmaily. This was cruise suppose to a mother-daughter cruise but I just can't live without my DS for 4 weeks in a row. (I am going to be terrible as an empty nester.) Good thing the two children get along very well.

The cruise will be a perfect trip for my DS since he will be hiking for 12 days and eating freezed dried food for all his meals except two. But watch out all the food places on DCL, he should gain back all the weight he will lose. :lmao: I couldn't have taken him if we were doing the parks.

Good Morning All!

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. We're spending the afternoon with John's aunt, uncle, cousins, and their Polish neighbors for our traditional Easter dinner. We will eat very well, including some traditional Polish dishes, or at least perogies and jurek. That's the phonetical spelling, jurek, a thin vinegar and milk based soup with bits of sausage. yum!!!! The neighbor took small portions of all the food to be blessed at the Polish church yesterday. We're also doing the traditional egg fight (bashing hard boiled eggs together - last one uncracked is the winner...) and hunting eggs. The cousins and neighbor kids all range from 41-12 :lmao:

I'm feeling rather old and showing my geekiness at the moment, two friends, here in Houston, took their children to a local high school for an Easter egg hunt yesterday. The twist is the eggs were dropped out of a helicopter. I commented on their facebook pages "As God is my witness I thought turkey's could fly..." Since both are in their early 20s and early 30s, neither got the WKRP reference... sigh...

Of course, it doesn't help I scored 13 out of 14 on the latest classic sitcom quiz on facebook... I think I need to get a life...

BOL! :rotfl: WKRP was my FAVORITE show! In fact, Noah would have been named Bailey if he had been a she. The turkey episode was and is a classic. I'm confused about eggs dropping out of a helicopter though - were they plastic eggs? Seamless? Definately an odd twist to an egg hunt.

Happy Easter everyone!

Just finished the Lockard Easter potluck and Egg Hunt!!! :cool1::cool1:

We had about 60-70 folks including abotu 25 kids. They definitely had fun finding all the eggs. I put out about 500 in the garden. I'm sure our gardener will find several on Tuesday! :rotfl::rotfl:

The nice thing about having a church function though is that everyone stays to help clean up too! My house is almost cleaner now after they left then it was when they got here!

BONUS - They did the dishes!!!! :worship::worship::worship:

So, now about an hour before exercise time at the school. :scared:

Wish we were closer to the Pirate! I'd love to get Captain Hoppy on Easter!!!!! :yay:

WKRP!! We have that on DVD. :happytv: My husband, being a former resident of Cincinnati, that is one of his favorites! They actually sell the WKRP T-shirts all over town!! :rotfl: That is a priceless show!

Just got back from church. DS12 was confirmed today. It's interesting....none of us are members there, but his asst. scoutmaster is the minister and they have such a wonderful relationship. He asked to become a member and takes it upon himself on Sundays to get me going and I take him. It was quite heartwarming. DH and I have talked that we wouldn't be surprised if he didn't become a minister or youth minister. He would be able to work with children, which he loves, and play his music, his total passion.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

We don't hide them outside....I am not sure why. Our bunny brings coins in eggs!:rolleyes1

The nice thing about having a church function though is that everyone stays to help clean up too! My house is almost cleaner now after they left then it was when they got here!

BONUS - They did the dishes!!!! :worship::worship::worship:

I like those kind of people!!!!

Wish we were closer to the Pirate! I'd love to get Captain Hoppy on Easter!!!!! :yay:

Heck we did more than this last Sunday......let's go for it!!!

We walked into Baskin Robbins and both made a beeline for the peanut butter and chocolate ice cream.... One more sign that we were made for each other. :thumbsup2:love:

I love this!! I wish I could have played along. What a fun idea. Did you take any pictures? I wish they had egg hunts for older kids like me.

Joann #2/Captain Hoppy.... Glad your Easter Day at your home went well. It sounded like a wonderful time together with good friends.

My DD, Alli, and I just made a ton of sugar cookies. One of her friends gave up cookies for lent and couldn't eat the gingerbread cookies I made for a soccer tournament. I felt so sad for her so I told her I'd made her cookies after Easter. Well, she didn't forget my offer and asked Alli if we could make sugar cookies. We make them thin like chips. You can eat them like chips too. We made so many that we have a few containers for other friends and family too. The house smells more like Christmas than Easter. Getting ready to go out to dinner.

Congrats to Captain Hoppy!:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

We escaped all the Easter hoopla by heading to Washington....BIG mistake, BIG, BIG mistake. So crowded, rained on us all day Saturday, had to wait outside in the rain just to get INTO the museums, today it was freezing cold.
Needless to say we didn't see too much. Escaped back to our hotel Saturday night and watched TV (Tyler had his own TV, so it was a relaxing night). Got in big-time traffic coming home today. Glad to be home. :woohoo:

It was a loooonnnngggg day and I'm wiped. Easter dinner was a success. I did 2 half hams and we probably could have done with 1 but 3 people I thought were coming didn't. Oh well, we have plenty for ham sandwiches. Unfortunately the time I was supposed to turn the oven on for the potatoes was the same time some people arrived (early) so I forgot. The potatoes were about 20 minutes late getting started. They were el dente. :confused3 The kids enjoyed the silly string fight, my 16 yr old niece got the brunt of it though. Her back was covered.

I did just call to make some ADR's! I could only book to the 14th because we are splitting our stay. She wouldn't let me book for the 2nd resort. She was trying hard to be helpful but not quite hitting the mark. DH needs to call tomorrow to book his golf. It's all so exciting.

My DS will be so jealous of the fishing trip. He has done it twice and loved it. He'd go again but I don't want to go on an excursion and leave his sister alone. I think he has to be 18 to go alone. The last time he went I stopped counting after he caught 12 fish including a 3ft. barracuda (which the Captain kept for dinner). It was my first time to fish and the first thing I hooked was a shark. :scared1: The captain asked if I wanted to reel it in. I said no thanks but my DS gave it a try but the shark bit off the line. It was an exciting couple of minutes.

Lucy.............sorry that your trip to DC was not the best. The weather has been crazy here in Maryland. I'm surprised the lines were so long to go to the museums. If you ever get the chance you should go to the Newseum that opened last year. My family has gone twice- once on a school field trip and then just with friends. The second time they went, they stayed about 8 hours.

I did my duty, and will NEVER forget the experience, when Tyler was VERY young and took him to the Barney show at Universal (my DH and other DS stayed outside)....Tyler LOVED Barney....that was very painful, but to see your little boy enjoying the show, was priceless....that was my painful duty as a mom!:rolleyes1

Oh, boy, I've got a few friends to see Hannah Montana....it's a date!:yay:
I know I won't be seeing this movie at home:sad2: don't have any little girls to take to movies.:sad1::sad1:

We will be making PALO dinner for one night because our older son has never had the chance to experience this wonderful dinner (never old enough). We have no idea what night but know we will make the ressie early so we can still attend the main dining room with our other son (goodness, we don't wanna miss a thing at dinner). We WERE going to make this ressie with our friends from home, but I'm haven't had the chance to talk with my girlfriend if she is still planning on the cruise (I hope!) now that her husband passed last week.:wizard: Bob and my goal is to talk her and her daughter into taking this cruise, she needs it this year.

Dizzyworld: I KNOW for a fact it was strange to be so cold and so crowded. When I was growing up (centuries and centuries ago:lmao:) Washington was the only vacation my family ever took - my great uncle was a head guard at the Smithsonian and guarded the Hope Diamond, so I'm an expert at the Smithsonian, although there are so many new things added. We never visited during Cherry Blossom time, and now I know why - the crowds. There were no blossoms left on the trees, due to the rain - I had a Japanese visitor stop and ask me where the cherry blossoms were.....hmmmmm, had no answer for her.:sad2: The new WWII memorial is beautiful, but it was so cold we couldn't enjoy ourselves.:sad2:

Today Bob took the day off (we thought we'd be in Washington today) and there is a ton of work to be done at home - namely the rest of our taxes and cleaning (although I can always find an excuse to ignore the cleaning).:scared1:

Lucy - that is exciting about your great uncle guarding the Hope Diamond. We try to get to the museums in DC at least once a year. I'm not big on crowds and traffic or we would probably go more often. (Funny the crowds at WDW don't seem to bother me. :lmao:) I liked the year we went to DC and saw the 75 decorated Mickey Mouse stautes. That was different and fun. I have never seen the Cherry Blossoms either. :confused3 I've seen the inside of the White House at Christmas time twice. The first time we just waited in a long line kind of like being at WDW. The second time in 2007, we had to get on a waiting list in June through our local representative. We had to be a group of 10. When our name did come up, we had to send in everyone's name and social security numbers. Then we were assigned our time to go. I miss the good old days. I can't believe how much there is to see there. I know we have only scratched the surface.

Count me in on seeing the Hannah movie too. I doubt we will get to see it at the theaters here. Plus Alli wants to see the Jonas Brothers 3D movie again. Upcoming Disney releases for the boat:
Hannah Montana- The Movie 4/10
Earth- 4/24
Up- 5/29
The Proposal- 6/12 (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
G-Force- 7/24

So - question is: Will HM still be on the ship in mid-July????? :scared1::confused3:scared1::confused3

Well, maybe it is a "kids" film (sort of):confused3:

G-Force
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer brings his first 3-D film to the big screen with 'G-Force', a comedy adventure about the latest evolution of a covert government program to train animals to work in espionage. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws. Tapped for the 'G-Force' are guinea pigs Darwin (voice of Sam Rockwell), the squad leader determined to succeed at all costs; Blaster (voice of Tracy Morgan), an outrageous weapons expert with tons of attitude and a love for all things extreme; and Juarez (voice of Penelope Cruz), a sexy martial arts pro; plus the literal fly-on-the-wall reconnaissance expert, Mooch, and a star-nosed mole, Speckles (voice of Nicolas Cage), the computer and information specialist.

I grew up in the DC area (Vienna, VA). I've seen a lot, but there are still things I've never seen - especially some of the more recent additions. I've never seen the newish WWII monument, or the no-longer-new Holocaust museum. The craziest one may be that I've never been inside the White House.

One of my favorite memories from our first cruise on the Magic was after putting the children to bed, my DH decided to go to bed too. It was too early for me, so I went to see "Chocolat." We're not sure when to make our Palo ressies for High tea and for dinner as we won't know until about a month before what day we have our brunch ressie. I'd prefer not to have a high Tea or brunch on the same day as dinner. Guess we'll just have to pick "eaney, meany, miney, mo". :confused3

I grew up in the DC area (Vienna, VA). I've seen a lot, but there are still things I've never seen - especially some of the more recent additions. I've never seen the newish WWII monument, or the no-longer-new Holocaust museum. The craziest one may be that I've never been inside the White House.

As much as I'd like to see the Holocaust museum, I know I would find it very upsetting. I can't even watch any drama movies where people hurt other people. I guess that's why I stick to comedies and romantics.

What I liked about our last visit to the White House was taking the children and a friend of my DD (we needed to find out 10 people). The children really got into all the details of the space. At one point when we were walking through the rooms and hallways, they stopped and thought about all the different people that have walked on the same tiles. It was a big moment for them.

Vienna seems like a nice area. My DH does a lot of work in that area.

Found the list of new Disney releases between now and July - looks like we'll have one premiering on the last night of the cruise! (Doesn't sound like a kids movie though...:confused3)

Upcoming Disney releases for the boat:
Hannah Montana- The Movie 4/10
Earth- 4/24
Up- 5/29
The Proposal- 6/12 (Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds)
G-Force- 7/24

So - question is: Will HM still be on the ship in mid-July????? :scared1::confused3:scared1::confused3

I'm wondering this myself - seeing it on the ship, since I saw posted on the cruise forum board that HM is being shown right now.....darn it, I'm not going to have a little girls night afterall:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:
I would also go to see the Jonas Brothers movie, but I guess I can count that one out too!:confused3

We may not have paid off our cruise, but I'm happy to say ALL of the taxes are completed (thank you Bob:hug:)

I did not go into the Holocaust Museum - Bob and Tyler did - I was people watching....my favorite thing to do:woohoo: And chatting with anyone who would chat with me - you must know by now, I LOVE to talk!:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Oh, bigAWL - I've been to the White House. I just found it amazing, standing in the mall, and remembering watching the inauguration this year, and how far away those spectators were from the capitol.

Glad everyone had a happy Easter!
Sorry it rained in Wash DC Lucy.:headache:

The weather has been really crummy here too. Nippy is the word. We'll probably pass right by spring and go straight into summer weather.

:woohoo:

Would it be inappropriate for me to mention that the WEATHER IN ST. THOMAS WAS FANTASTIC?I guess it's okay b/c we're all going there in 3 months!!!Whew!! Blue skies, calm blue, turquiose, green water, gentle waves, tropical fish, white sand beaches, did I miss anything? :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:Seriously, I can't wait to go back........WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!:dance3:

One of my favorite memories from our first cruise on the Magic was after putting the children to bed, my DH decided to go to bed too. It was too early for me, so I went to see "Chocolat." But first I made a stop at a lounge for a vanilla smoothy with Khaula. I was a happy camper. There was only one other person in the theater. It was so peaceful.

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a nice Easter. I'm using the computer at the Vero Beach library. We're having a wonderful time. We had a great time at OKW last week. We saw The Turtles at the American Gardens theater in Epcot. They sounded great!

We had Easter dinner at Shutters at Disney's Vero Beach resort. The resort was very crowded. We're staying with my mom at her house in Vero. My DH is flying home tomorrow and we'll be back next Tuesday. I'll be back on when I get home.

Have a great week, everyone.

I'm reading some of the trip reports (what I do on days I'm at home!:cool1:)
and here is some good advice:

just pop over to guest services at some point on embarkation day and ask "What do I need to sign up for?" Tastings and Galley tours do fill up, and if you wait for them to show up later on in the daily Navigator you might not be able to get in. So if there is one of these you really want to do...check with Guest Services that first day.

I know we want to do the galley tour and the wine tasting, so I wanna make sure (OH, I hope I remember, from all the excitement of getting on the ship and meeting all of you) I sign up on embarkation day. I believe my DH wants to do the tequila tasting too, if offered.....now me, I'd rather do Mickey ice cream bar tastings:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Thanks everyone for the "Welcome" I love following the dis boards before cruising! I want to sign up for the FE and the Palo brunch. Since I just booked, Im do not have a cabin # yet. Guys - I'm really surprised by the dearth of young kids on this cruise! It seems everyone has kids between 10 and 18, but so few of us have kids under 10!! :confused3

I was really hoping to find a couple of little girls who could correspond with our girls before we get there so that they would feel more comfortable about going into the club the first day or so.

Anyone know of any other young families who haven't joined us yet but who are planning on going on the cruise????:beach:

Welcome Donna!

As for procrastinating on school work even adults do that. what do you think I'm doing right now. I should be in "class" working not here talking. Matt was able to get most of our ADR's we've got to call back in 10 days to book the ones for after the cruise. We got the first seating at CP and right now it is not on an EMH day so I'll be bale to get some empty main street shots YAY! Now it's on to cruise plans again i'll have to trust him to book the right thing because i can not stay up till midnight and go to work the next day.

Yes we come to Knoxville a lot. More than likely we will drive. We were at WL in WDW
last month and we drove. It wasn't too bad, besides the fact that I am a reluctant flyer,
with all the luggage restrictions, it would cost a fortune. Do you work in Morristown?
DH retired from The Navy last year so we have lived all over. I am originally from FL, it was nice being so close to WDW but the heat was too much. I like having 3 seasons!

WOW!!! We were at WDW last month as well... we stayed in one of the new Pirate Rooms at CB. We will drive too. It's pretty easy! I know what you mean about the airlines. With 4 of us, the luggage would be like another ticket! We are staying at the Radisson on Friday night before the cruise. I work in Knoxville, but do some sales calls in Morristown. :darth: We may go down to WDW for one of the Star Wars weekends in June! They are so much fun!
