Joining you from the "When will the 2009...." thread! Luckily for me, I took the day off from work today because of a satellite TV installation. Dreams was able to take care of everything for us first thing this AM after I fired off an email!

Thanks for keeping that thread alive with the summaries, etc. It was most helpful.

I'm giving this one some serious thought - we've not been on our first cruise yet which is a 3 nighter in August 2008. Am I righ in thinking I can book it now then apply for the rebooking discount and extra credit when I'm on board in 2008?

Welcome,

What I would recomend is book now, at the lower prices, then when you are on board the ship, if its better to book at the on board rate, book a new cruise and then cancel this one.

Then if it goes up your covered, if its cheaper on board you are also covered.

I've officially sent the note to Dreams. I was debating whether to use the discount and credit I got for a June 4 night cruise but it turns out that this cruise costs less than that one so I am actually saving more by using it on the four nighter. I may cancel the 4-nighter though...so.... decisions. decisions. It will be my wife and I and our two girls who will be 5 and 10 when we cruise.

Hi!! I just booked this one about an hour ago and I am so excited! It's going to be hard to contain that excitement for the next 21 months! This is our 2nd DCL cruise. Our first was with the Konked Kruisers Oct. 20-27, 2007. That was the best vacation ever and I can't wait for the next one! :goodvibes It will be me, DH, DS who will be 10 at the time, and DD who will be 8 at the time.

All I can recommend is go on your first cruise armed with all kinds of seasickness remedies. That will ensure nobody in your party will need them! :lmao: I had everything you could think of for any type of illness we might have encountered during our cruise and the only person who ever needed anything was my sister who was with her own family and didn't pack any type of first aid kit. My guess formal night on a sea day say Sun or Mon and a semi formal last sea day. Ports casual.

Worth looking at EASTERN navigators it will be the same.

Roatation will be as the Eastern

I guess everyone will have their own preferences but for us a Spa treatment is essential as is dining at Palo's. We enjoyed the wine-tasting so may do that again - and we'll definitely appreciate that extra day of chilling on the Magic... :cloud9:

Thank you for that, thought so,

I am not sure as yet re WDW, if I do it would be AFTER as the crowds go down in the latter part of August and we might get free DDP, I might however go for a villa, I will see the first thing is to wrap the cruise with a Virgin holidays Flydrive.

I will definately be doing WDW before the cruise, we are DVC'ers now (bought in on our last cruise:banana: ), so gotta use our points!!! When we did the Eastern in Sept 2007, that was the schedule for dinner(that is posted above), so I expect it to be the same. We loved the 3 sea days and St. Thomas, so we rebooked onboard.I can't wait to go to St. Thomas again and somewhere new! St Maarten was OK, we just didn't feel the need to go back. Can't wait for 8/15/09!

St Thomas has great Duty free shopping, I wasnt too impressed with St M so Tortola will be a nice change as I havnt been there before.

Well I am nominating myself for biggest turnaround - I was really disappointed yesterday, we had said any Med or European itinerary would be doable but nowhere else as we will have a 19 month old by then (due in 4 weeks time) and I am not sure about the long flight with a toddler. But....

As Tammy from Dreams emailed me with a provisional ressie, in a SPH cabin and the rate was less than I had anticipated we decided to go ahead and book. IF saving doesn't go to plan or we decide that flying with a toddler isn't a great plan I guess we can cancel but I am already getting over excited so DH will have a hard time convincing me to cancel!

There will be four of us cruising - Me (I will be 30 by then) DH AKA Darren who will be 37, DD1 Isabelle who will be 4 and the as yet unborn baby who will be 19months!

It wasn't in our plans to "do" the theme parks in 2009 as we are supposed to be saving to go in 2010 - I *think* that what we might do is have a few days in Orlando before the cruise but take it easy and just do Seaworld and try out Aquatica.

Welcome:- 'Essex Girl' so the cruise you will enjoy the longer cruise, however I must say after a 14 day and a 11 day, and a forthcoming 15 night this cruise may feel a bit short for me.

I am thinking of a Villa in Orlando this time rather than WDW.

Good luck on baby, my son was 18 months when he went to WDW for the first time, and really enjoyed it. Flight wasnt a problem

So was I TBH! ::yes:: I'd managed to get myself all psyched about the prospect of a cruise out of NYC (goodness knows why! ) - so the prospect of an Eastern with a twist didn't really feel like much of consolation. Then I told DH about it last night and he said why not do it as it would fit nicely for our DS who'll have just finished his GCSEs by then! And I don't need telling twice... ;) :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2

Its funny about NY,I know a few Dissers there and on the when will 09 prices come out we were discussing possibilities and we talked about Bermuda, then a post said it would be neat to cruise out of NY, we generally knew that wouldn't really happen.

Suddenly someone read that and a whole thread started up saying how great it would be to cruise out of NY, I knew it was based on our posts so I tried to put a disclaimer in saying don't get your hopes up, but that thread ran and ran.

West coast should be good but maybe 'cool' out of LA, our Panama cruise in 05 was cold the first sea day out of LA.

What rotation options to request are there? On our Western we requested APL so we were in Parrot Cay for Pirate night, and Lumiere on Formal and Semi-Formal night. I'm trying to figure it in my head how to work that out on an Eastern but I can't figure it out. For those who've done an Eastern before, is there a specific rotation that is more desireable? Does my question make any sense? LOL

Thanks! I will call back and change my request. We have main seating and I requested APL, not knowing what the schedule looked like.

Did everyone book the cabin they wanted? I re-booked the same cabin that we just stayed in, but I want to look for something quieter. My family was not bothered by the noise but I am a light sleeper. And the cabin we had is one of Passporter's "noisy" cabins. We are on Deck 2, aft, which for us is a great location!

Main seating here. This will be our 3rd trip on DCL. First was the 10th DVC anniversary member cruise (4 day) and we had the late seating. Despite one DS only being 3 it had its benefits because he otherwise would have crashed after dinner. One year ago this week we were on the Western (can't believe a year has gone by already) and had the early seating.

Thursday: At Sea - Semi-formal...
Friday: Castaway Cay - Casual...

Exciting, eh? :woohoo:

Anyone have any idea if they're going to WDW before/after? :goodvibes

Thanks for that :goodvibes

We'll be in Orlando before and for a few days after. We usually go for 4 weeks so we'll probably fly during the last week of July and fly home mid week after the cruise. We'll stay a mix of DVC (including Vero) and off site, probably in a villa

WELCOME!!!

My kids will be 13 and 10.

Mine will be 11 & 12

What seating does everyone have?

We've got main too and thanks for the tip to request a rotation

.....Did everyone book the cabin they wanted? I re-booked the same cabin that we just stayed in, but I want to look for something quieter. My family was not bothered by the noise but I am a light sleeper. And the cabin we had is one of Passporter's "noisy" cabins. We are on Deck 2, aft, which for us is a great location!

Abby

Cost was a factor for us so we've gone for a cat 11. We're in a cat 6 for our first 3 night cruise next August and I really hope we won't be disappointed :scared1: I'm worried about motion sickness and wanted to stick to the middle of the ship so that ruled out the SPH rooms.

Has any one gone from a veranda to an inside room and not been disapointed

Morning all!

Glad my Passporter perusings could be of some help regarding the itinerary- just hope I got it right now... ;) I think the PLA rotation sounds perfect - would it be worth emailing my TA and asking her to request that for me?

Dinner-wise, we've opted for the late seating - we eat circa 8pm at home so it feels right for us...

Currently I'm thinking of staying in AKV after the cruise. We won't have stayed there before this 2009 trip and it would be nice to finally get to experience it. Need to fool around with my DH's vacation entitlement and see what works best...

I was underwhelmed when the 2009 itineraries were announced (we missed the PC repo and have got used to longer cruises after the med repo), but now I'm excited - Tortola looks really beautiful and Virgin Gorda too. That will be Tom's last year in the Stack (where has the time gone?) and he will be so sad because he's had such a great time there. We did the Eastern in 2003.

I wouldn't worry too much about motion sickness - my ds and I are very prone and we have always been fine, except for 2004 when we ended up in Texas to avoid Hurricane Charley! Small boats are much worse.

As far as must do things - definitely Palo (love the brunch), spa (tried a spa villa which was fab) and my daily fix at Cove Cafe.

We will probably stay in a DVC after the cruise, but don't know where yet (we own at VWL and AKV).

Can't believe I'm already into planning mode for 2009 - Passporter is already well thumbed!

Talking of planning, has anyone tried Mouse Manager? It's set up by someone on the Dis, it's free and runs on Windows and Mac. You can organise all your vacation details on it, including DVC points. I've been playing with it and it's brilliant (nothing to do with me I hasten to add). Try it!

That'd be great. My dd9 (she'll be nearly 11 on this cruise) had the best time on the second cruise when she 'met' a friend here and hooked up with her on day one at our meet. They still keep in touch and we visit with them when we go to WDW since they live in the area.

I need to call and check. I didn't know about the $50 OBC until after I booked, and I don't have my CC# yet. After I get everything in place I may transfer my res to Dreams. Haven't decided yet. I used another TA for the last cruise but there was no OBC or anything from her. And I never dreamed our on-board account would add up so much! How long is the Dreams current OBC in effect?

My kids have had penfriends on most of the DCL cruises they have always met up early and its helped them in the kids club, Although with a cruise in 08 it will be best to start nearer the time.

I agree re the penpals. Gotta be a lot closer to the cruise. On the cruise we just came off of (Nov. 24 eastern) DD hooked up with a girl way too early. By the time the cruise rolled around they didn't have anything to say to one another and ended up ignoring each other the first five days and didn't make nice until the last day on Castaway Cay.

I wish I could say the same for Dreams. Have tried to use them 3 times. It may stick this time but it has been a struggle. I guess you have to get the right agent.

I called last night and put the PLA request in too. Now I just need to work on which cabin I want! Also when I called, I asked about the CC $50 OBC for booking by Dec. 10th and she said I did not qualify because it would be double dipping since we already had the $200 rebooking OBC. Does Dreams' $100 OBC interfere with the $200 rebooking OBC?

We are on board too with extended family. There will be at least 11 of us.

It looks like some of our friends from the Med Cruise (7/28) are here?

We also did Mexico when the Magic was here last and are in the area if you have questions.

I like this new Eastern plan because of the three at sea days.

I am so looking forward to taking advantage of what for us will be a longer cruise (only done 3 nights on DCL) and enjoying the ships facilities.

Very envious of your Med Cruise - we will definitely be booking next time a DCL ship comes to Europe, we cruised in the Med for our honeymoon which was lovely but on a ship that doesn't shape up to the DCL liners in anyway!

I talked to DH tonight about transferring to Dreams. I do need to let the TA who booked our last cruise know why we aren't using her again though. When I did the original re-booking on board on the double dip cruise in 2006 I used the Disney Visa for the re-booking, All I had to do was transfer my reservation again, I originally had booked a hold date in Dec 2007, That was then re-booked to the 2008 Mexican Rivera cruise, which I just transferred to this cruise. We really wanted to do another 7 day Caribbean cruise, when this one was posted it fit the bill. That and the sail date Aug 15th is my 52nd Bday.

Wow! You must have had acres of space in one of those aft cabins, Karen, with the huge verandah. We stayed in a Cat 3 next to the Disney Suite which was gorgeous (and the pull down bed was in the sitting room), but then we stayed in a Cat 3 aft - the sitting room was much smaller and the pull down bed was in the bedroom - so if you get the chance to upgrade, I'd avoid those.

We did the great list of names cabins etc for the Med cruise and also there is one for my Panama in 08, so its a great idea, we need some format and then I could post these on the first post.

It would be good for

Names and ages
Location
Cat
main/late dinner
How many cruises
pre/post stay

If they are all done in the same format they could be cut and posted into the first post.

I would suggest we hold back on a name for a while, as the cruise only was released this week, firstly to allow as many people as possible to find the thread, by a search, and secondly it would be nice to include as many as possible with the discussion of the name, Thoughts?

I think as word gets out more will join us within weeks

I went through the thread, so far, and tried to cut and paste where everyone had put some detail of their group in a post, and then put it on post 1 of the thread, if anyone has been missed it most likley was there wasnt too much detail.

If you post your details;

Disname/your first name
Names and ages
Location
Cat
main/late dinner
How many cruises
pre/post stay

I will add to the front.

Good ideas! Should be think of a name with Tortola in it somehow? :)
...I would suggest we hold back on a name for a while, as the cruise only was released this week, firstly to allow as many people as possible to find the thread, by a search, and secondly it would be nice to include as many as possible with the discussion of the name, Thoughts?

The Tortola Treasure Seekers just sprang to mind... pirate:

I went through the thread, so far, and tried to cut and paste where everyone had put some detail of their group in a post, and then put it on post 1 of the thread, if anyone has been missed it most likley was there wasnt too much detail.

If you post your details;

Disname/your first name
Names and ages
Location
Cat
main/late dinner
How many cruises
pre/post stay

I will add to the front.

Please add us to the list:banana: .

DH (Mark)

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise

Updated,

If we can keep this format it will be easy to read and understand ,and easy to copy in.

Maybe later we can, or have someone create an excel list, but still very early days.

Sue-

My DD will be happy to see another 7 year old girl on the ship! We couldn't convinve our kids to stay in the kids clubs on our last cruise but I'm hoping this time they will "meet" some other kids beforehand and WANT to stay at least for a little while!!

I know what you mean, my daughter is a bit too old, at 13 at cruise time, my son will be 10, they like to get to know other kids on the cruise by pen-friends before the cruise, then they meet up quickly and go straight to the clubs, particularly as we have two sea days at the start for the clubs.

However as mine are on the 2008 repo first, ( and do not know about this cruise as yet) I would want them to get to know kids on the REPO first, as last Med cruise they were confused expecting some kids on the Med cruise but they are on the 2008 cruise!

We just miss out on the 2009 cruise Wedding anniversary 30th, maybe still in Florida and Sons birthday on 3rd September.

We will have our anniversary on the Magic in 2008, and DS has had a couple of birthdays on previous cruises, just misses out in 2008.

Some point we will get a list together.

This is the only aspect of cruising that I'm nervous about. Our DS is a mature teenager and won't be trying out the teen club until next August. He's a sociable chap and I just really hope he enjoys the experience - oh well, fingers crossed...

I'd definitely think about it, Andrew. That on-site location is tough to be beat and it keeps that chilled-out 'cruise' feeling right up until you board the plane...

In 2009 we will fly into MCO and stay at the Hyatt overnight before heading to Port Canaveral... And hoping to book AKV for 10 nights afterwards... CAN"T WAIT!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Firstly just seen the result for Strictly come dancing if interested look at UK dIS.

Panama last day seems to be a bit of a waste, I arrive at 7.30am from the Magic and fly back at 5.25pm BA this time check in 1.30pm, So Hyatt is an option, but I have the VIP lounge for BA/Delta after 1.30pm.

I was thinking of a town car to a shopping area for a while, not sure.

2009: I will 'wrap' a holiday around this cruise, next year, with maybe a short hotel stay before and a villa after, or travel to West coast Florida, not sure, may do WDW, but may drop it.

Wow - this is turning into a great thread and my guess is it will be one of the more popular ones :goodvibes

Unfortunately I'm going to have to bow out of it (but I'll still be checking in to see how your planning is getting on)

We've not even done our first cruise yet which is a 3 night one next August. I really loved the idea of this Eastern one but the more research I did I realized that the 7 night Western would probably suit us better for our first 7 night cruise. DD who would be 11 and DS who would be 12 in 2009 are both high functioning autistic and I'm worried that the extra sea days on the Eastern might be too much for them if they decided that they didn't like the kids clubs. The Western has more stops which means we could either get off the ship to explore or take advantage of a quieter ship while in port.

Unfortunately the 7 night Western schedule doesn't suit our planning for 2009 so I've transfered our reservation to another 3 night. I'm hoping that we'll all love the cruise and can try a longer one in 2010.

Good luck to you guys and happy planning for this great cruise :grouphug:

He started in 2005. We go to Southern Spain every summer and there's a good dive school near our place where they teach the PADI/National Geographic courses. He loves it but, to date, has not had the opportunity to dive anywhere exciting - hopefully the cruises we have planned for 2008/2009 will change all that... :thumbsup2

Okay guys, I need your help! The only other cruise I have done before was an Eastern on Carnival. While I had a good time, it is not something that I will do again. I know that DCL will be leaps and bounds more suited to me, and just plain better. So help me make the most of my 7 days on the ship! What is not to be missed for a 30 something who will most likely be on her own? Thanks!

Ed, where do you think DCL would sail from if cruising Alaska? Seattle? It definitely sounds a fascinating option and I, being a total DCL junkie, would be more than interested... ;)

Maybe Seattle , but I suspect LA, with a stop in Vancouver, BC, Canada to have a port outside of the US on each cruise.

Melissa, the last time DH and I cruised on DCL we were without kids and had a blast! We had a fantastic Spa Villa treatment (called 'couples choice' but they do it for singles too); we did the wine tasting; went to the DVC meet; snagged free martinis at the onboard auction; had our own Scrabble tournament in the Promenade Lounge; went to the various pre-dinner shows; hardly spent anytime out on the deck by the pool; had a fantastic Palo brunch - and lots more I can't recall, but we spent so much time racing around the ship on our way to something! Honestly, if you love Disney, you will love a Disney cruise... :thumbsup2

Check out the Navigators (http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigators/2-17-07/index.htm) to get more of an idea what happens onboard...

Plus just one more incentive, Castaway Cay...

Melissa-

I second the wine tasting if you like wine. And I totally agree, we were running around so much from activity to activity. There were so many things I wanted to do but just could not do it all. And we didn't spend much time out at the pools either. Two of my favorite times on the ship though were one morning I woke up super early, grabbed a coffee, and walked around the deck taking pictures of the empty pool areas and the sunrise. Another time was on the last night of the cruise, my sister and sat in the hot tub of the adult pool for about an hour, talking to other cruisers. Then we got some hot tea from Cove Cafe. There were lots of other adults hanging around and for some of them it was a nightly thing. Other cruisers we were with really enjoyed Rockin Bar D. That's on my to do list the next cruise. I think you'll have a great time and find plenty to do!

We spent the evening of our 25th Wedding Anniversary bopping away in Rockin' Bar D - aptly enough it was 80's night and, as we approached midnight, the excellent band played a version of the song we most associate with our wedding! As memories go, that's priceless... :cloud9:

I found on the Med cruise, whilst it was 11 nights we missed a lot as we were so busy with the 7 ports, On the Panama cruise in 05 and I expect in 08 there is lots more time to enjoy the ship.

We have three sea days to some time but I always find short cruises difficult to fit everything in.

Yes I fully agree Ed, our '2006' cruise was soo short after my Panama in 2005, the Med also seemed 'short' at 11 nights as we had so much booked to do offshore, on ship we were exhausted to do anything.

The people on the Med cruise were so so nice, some had a meet in New York this weekend.

I feel this cruise will also feel short, after the 15 night one in 08!

Absolutely! :thumbsup2 I'm hoping things will be a bit slower-paced on our upcoming cruises as I think having a Vow Renewal onboard was one of the reasons why our Western Caribbean in September seemed so hectic...

Oh and I'm looking forward to that extra At Sea day... :goodvibes

That post would have cost you a bit.

:rotfl: Isn't that the truth. No the only way we'll be in a cat 2 is if someone cancels and I get to the counter in time to upgrade at the port. We were lucky enough to be able to do that from a 9 to a 3 on our Nov. 2006 Eastern and it was fantastic. I assured the kids that this was probably once in a lifetime. Just not sure I convinced myself yet as I held out hope for this November's Eastern I'd be able to do the same. No such luck!

Cat 9 to Cat 3??? wow.

Yep the price was pretty amazing and I KNOW that it will never happen again so that's why I jumped on it. That ship must have had a lot of inventory because when I asked about buying an upgrade they asked..what do you want? - I could have had anything between a 6 and a 3. Lots of fours left and there were 3 cat 3's to choose among. This year I asked and there was nuttin!

Thanks, I was pretty happy with it. For my Oct. cruise. She was able to put together anyone who booked with her as a "group." So we all got an extra discount higher OBC and we are getting either a welcome cocktail reception or Palo's Brunch. Plus, in room stateroom gifts. So it is a nice little extra stiff. Plus, twice or cruise price has gone down to more people booking with her.

So not sure if anyone would be interested in trying to get a group together here?? Just let me know I can PM you her information..

Here is a Funny Pirate Christmas Song:

Sparrow, the Pirate (sung to the tune of "Frosty, the Snowman")

Sparrow, the pirate, was a jolly, happy guy,
With a beaded beard and a mustache, too,
And some black around his eye.

Sparrow, the pirate, is a witty one they say,
He could trick a man with a clever plan,
And then call it all a day.

There must have been some magic in that compass that he had.
For when he held it in his hand, he could steer to secret land.

Oh, Sparrow, the pirate, is the best out on the seas.
Though he needs a bath and some new teeth, too,
He will do just what he'll please.

Scallywag, savvy? Scallywag, savvy?
Look at Sparrow sail.
Scallywag, savvy? Scallywag, savvy?
This is his grand, big tale!

Oh, I totally understand if you have a good realtionship then you have to stay where your happy/comfortable.I just wanted to offer in case anyone else was interested.....

Here is another song:

Deck the Ships (to be sung to the tune of "Deck the Halls")

Deck the ships with lots of booty, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho,
'Tis the season to be looting, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Don we now our pirate clothing, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Think of us with lots of loathing, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.

Set the blazing town before us, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Cannons fire and join the chorus, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Give us all your gold and treasure, yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
Then your maidens'll give us pleasure! Yo ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!

One more:

Pirate Ships (sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells")

We're dashing through the seas, in a two-mast pirate ship,
O'er the waves we go, laughing all the way (yo ho ho!),
The sails and skull-flag wave, making pirates bright,
What fun it is to sail and sing a pirate song tonight!

Pirate ships, pirate ships, yo ho all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to sail in a two-mast pirate ship.
Pirate ships, pirate ships, yo ho all the way.
Oh, what fun it is to sail in a two-mast pirate ship!

Yes they now know! and the kids love the Villa! only 18 months away!!!

We have always stayed onsite either/both Disney and Universal, I intend us to spread our wings more, with less Disney Parks.

Sounds fab! :thumbsup2 There are some lovely villas out there! I hope to try villa rental someday as I know I would love the privacy... :cloud9:

Corr you have all been so busy, a chatty group! I have updated page 1 post 1 and the details below are now there, thank you.

Ongoing you can refer this to ensure we know each others real names and also see Kids match ages etc for kids clubs, maybe lists of dinner early/late.

On the Med cruise nearer the time we did excursion lists as well

You are correct...This is a very busy group! Alot busier than the cruise I am taking next summer!

I Love the idea of the Excursion List it would be good to know others who are doing the same things.

Hi,

Just confirmed with my TA.. We are booked as well.. I was sooo happy she gave me $350.00 OBC plus the fifty dollar OBC for CC. So I am at four hundred..She is the best...

Here is our crew:

Kristin DW 36-when we cruise
Bruce DH 43-when we cruise
Hanna DD
Hope DD
Twins-ages 7 when we sail
Main Dining
Will stay a week before the cruise at DVC SSR...
Cat. 4
Connecticut
Celebrating 15th Wedding Aniversary!!
Third Disney Cruise!!

Kristin-

My DD will be 7 too when we sail. And I am trying to get my sister to come again with us along with her DD7 at cruise time and DD6 at cruise time. We've got alot of kids already in this group and it seems to be a good mix of ages. They are going to have fun!

A website would be wonderful! We did that for the cruise I went on in Oct. and it really helped come cruise time knowing who was who. We also posted pictures on it so we would recognize eachother.

We booked with DCL but are considering transferring to DU for the extra OBC. The person I booked our last cruise through is not happy that she doesn't have the res. But she gave no sort of OBC, and I only gave her the res. so she could get the commission. Not sure how to handle this.

How long will it take to get authorizations sorted out, do you think? I think you are the first person I've ever known of to say they were bummed about not having surgery! :rotfl2: Hopefully it will get squared away quickly, especially with the holidays.

Hey Andrew! Count us in!!! You may recall we sailed together on the Magic in August '06!

We just booked this while on the Wonder this weekend. Cast is me, DH John and DS Josh (will be 16), and DTwins Kieran and Ryan (they'll be 12 - yikes!).

And, can it be...we're sailing with the renowned CustardTart of Fun with Dick and Kaz fame?!!! How fun will that be!

And y'all already have 16 pages on this thread - what a riot! The time is sure to go by fast with this fun group!:thumbsup2

Definitely! She tends to be somewhat shy but I think getting to know some kids prior to cruise time will bring her out of her shell. My DS (9 at cruise time) is so opposite of her. He's Mr. Social. LOL

The website seems to work out nicely then like you said we could post pics. etc...That is what we are doing for my Oct. cruise tooo..

I only asked about the TA since this cruise for Oct. many of us booked with one TA and got Great onboards as well as a group rate and we are getting some extras too for being a group. Palo's brunch or a welcome cocktail reception. The OB she gave me for this cruise was $400.00 if your interested maybe we could get a small group together with this TA and then we could all get a cheaper price and get the group ammenities. I can send you her info. if your interested. What is DU offering for OBC??Pm me if you want her info....

They say the authorization will be in another 72 hours. If you ask me I think someone at the DR. office messed up but not sure. OH, I was not excited to have the surgery really but was kind of mentally prepared if you know what I mean?? Plus, we had arranged someone to watch the kids etc.....Just kind of a pain if you know what I mean??!!!

Well, I guess it all happens for a reason!!! I was nervous that I would not be ok to go to the Hannah Montana concert next week but not a biggie now since not having the surgery.. Plus, the kids are going to freak when they find out they are going to the HM concert........

Never been to the BVI but I have been reading up on the Baths as everyone says it is a great excursion. It looks gorgeous but I am a little worried that it will be difficult to access with small children as some of the reports say there is a quite steep rocky climb to get down there...

Mel,

Funny, you should mention that. DH (Bruce) was saying how it was too bad the kids would not be old enough to be able to do the Baths. It was also very dark and the rocks were slippery in spots but it was very worth it and you got to see some great fish, and the baths were amazing...

While we were in there I was thinking what if they collapase,...???LOL!!!!!!!
