On St. Thomas Day, we are going on the 5 star St. John excursion in the AM. Since we are not shoppers ( two boys - need I say more?), is there a pretty place we can go in the afternoon where we don't have to worry about getting back to the ship on time? We don't want to rent a vehicle for the few hours we'll have left on this day.
Thanks for any info!

There is not really a beach within walking distance of the pier on St. Thomas. The closest beach is probably Morningstar, just east of Havensight, where the ship docks. I've never been there, but I'd guess it's probably about a 10-15 minute cab ride. You can usually arrange with the driver to come pick you up at a scheduled time.

Yes, the beach closest to the dock is Morningstar Beach which is the beach used by the Marriott Frenchman's Reef Resort. But it isn't within walking distance of the ship... and for the taxi fare you'd pay to get there you might as well go to Magen's Bay or Coki Beach.

If our sons have energy left, we'll probably try Coki. Also, Dave - your websight is super - the map of Port Canaveral area is very helpful! Keep up the good work! :D
