We have a 1993 22ft coachman 5ver with slide. I have camped in a tent, pop up, motor home,& slide in camper at the Fort. I think that makes me pretty flexable!

I voted for Travel Trailer because that is what we own now. However, our first trip was a tent (and that was our honeymoon :lmao: ) We've stayed in the cabins a couple of times, a motorhome once and our travel trailer twice. It doesn't matter how you camp, it's FW afterall :thumbsup2
I voted for motorhome, but technically we're a toterhome. We camp in a Haulmark SportsDeck with a 17' box on a Freightliner Columbia chassis. If FW wasn't so tight, we'd pull our fifth wheel behind and spread out on two sites (on our last trip we had 8 people and cramped is an understatement), but there's not enough maneuvering room.

38' MH with three slides. I am post #3 on the Campsite thread. :thumbsup2
my answer should say "what will you camping in at FW?" as technically we've not been there yet!

A 2004 keystone Montana Mountaineer 325fkbs travel trailer. We just traded our '97 coachman 299tb bunkhouse travel trailer in on it last month. That was we camped in last time at the fort. Cant wait to try out the new one in Feb
I cant remember when I was young, but I think it was around 74 and we had pop up.:hippie: ( I was 6)
I don't care if I had to tent under a tarp or in a couple of garbage bags, as long I was at the "fort"

I voted for TT, but we have a hybrid. It's really closer to a TT than a pop up, though.

Yep, my rig is in my signature. I agree travel trailer is too generic, but that's what mine technically is :-)
(You might want to add teardrop and tiny travel trailer to that poll:banana:

Getting into a campsite can be an extreme challenge!. We have managed the last 2 yrs to get our Ford semi/sleeper cab, single axle and 35' Jayco fiver into the 300 and 500 loops. Luck and helpful neighbors certainly helped!
Started out camping at FW with a truck camper, then a MH, now a fiver.

In the 70's I camped at FW in tents with my Boy Scout Troop with my parents in their Starcraft pop-up.
In the 80's I camped at FW in a tent with DW. Sometimes had to use a blow dryer to "warm up" on cold mornings. One time, were evacuated to the contemporary when hurricane Elena sat offshore for a couple of days in 1985.
In the 90's I camped at FW in our Starcraft pop-up with DW, DS and DD. Had AP's in those days and would go 4 6 times a year.
In the 00's I camp at FW in our 35' Coachmen Class A with DW, DS and DD. Sometimes we are joined by DS's GF and DD's BF.
I love Fort Wilderness.

Tent. First one was a 10 x 10 Ozark Trails, second was a 7 x 15 Coleman Weathermaster (can't beat that one for dryness!), now a 15 x 12 Eureka Copper Canyon (the room is worth it!).

2004 32ft Tiffin Allegro (that we bought 2 days ago). Our Maiden Voyage will be to the Fort in 15 days:cool1: . I was :yay: :yay: beside myself with excitement about our trip to the Fort since it'll be our first time there, but now with the new motor home in the yard and the trip getting even closer...... it's getting harder and harder to contain myself. :dance3: (please pardon my excitement):dancer: :dancer:

Just a little off topic question, do you have the diesel in the truck, I do in my 08 f350 and I only get about 9 mpg while towing. I used to get 17 with my 03. IF you do, what do you get?

37 ft Monaco Monarch for the last 8 months. Before that it was in a Coachman 30' class C. We also have a tent we bring along in case we have too many for the MH. The Fort is the BEST.
