Okay, I've stayed at the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne. Can you get Goofy to wake you up with a call at either of these hotels? If so, how? I've never seen any instructions in the room pamphlets about it - do you have to do it at reception?

We did it last yr at Santa Fe. I think you lift the receiver and it gives you instructions or theres something on the phone itself. However when we first tried it was set in Spanish and we couldnt work out how to change it to English so we had to go to reception to ask them to do it and it was next day before they got it sorted

There is a button, bottom right of the room telephone, which is marked "wakeup call", lift the receiver, press the button and then follow the instructions, you just tap in the time you want and if in the morning nobody is moving, (it only rings a certain number of times), you can key in another time, 5 or 10 mins later say, and you can keep doing it until somebody gets out of bed to answer ;)

Thanks ladies,

Jill I'm pretty sure I did what you said at the Santa Fe in October - but it wasn't Goofy who woke us up, it just sounded like a normal female voice. Maybe the Goofy message wasn't working then?

I found this facility in Sequoia Lodge too _ talk about a hoot. Bleary eyed, you respond to the phone with the usual cheery grunt having fallen out of bed and banged your leg on the side table because you've got yourself tangled in your dressing down only to find Goofy asking you if you know what time it is....

I laff about it now of course...

I wonder how many times Goofy's delicate ears have turned blue because some grumpy article didn't realise that it was the wake up call.
