OKW 2 BR December 2008

I am an OKW owner. We are looking at going to OKW from 12/28/08-1/2/09. Do you think I should do day-to-day bookings? OKW is never a problem to get but I have never tried to go around New Year's Eve. Based on your experiences, any chance other properties will be available at the 7 month window?

One call should do it for you.

That said, if it were me, I'd book New Year's Eve as soon as the window opens. I'd call on 2/1/2008 and book the frist 4 nights of the trip (12/28, 12/29, 12/30 and 12/31). I'd ask MS to hold the confirmation letter until 2/2/2008, when I call to book the last night (1/1/2009).

Again, you will almost surely be fine making just one call for the entire vacation. But New Year's Eve is arguably the most difficult day of the year to book and IMHO, it's worth an extra call to be sure. (I hate the waitlist, LOL).

If anyone is trying to book NYE at one of the EPCOT DVC resorts, you definitely should call as soon as the window opens. Those resorts are smaller than OKW (and SSR) and the ability to "walk home" after the celebration is highly prized.

I Would Book Day By Day, But That Is Me. Never Leave Anything To Chance.

We have stayed NYE many times at OKW, and the only time we have called day by day was for the Millennium. I'd call Feb. 2, 2008 and book through 1/1/09 and call back the next day to add the last night.
