DD and I are off to a preview of the new Disney film 'Enchanted' this afternoon. You probably have seen clips - it's the one with a mixture of animation and live action and has been getting good reviews.

I'll post our thoughts when we get back. Molly is looking forward to an afternoon of Princesses and romance. I'm thinking that it looks like fun and that there are worse ways to spend an afternoon than watching Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden ;)

I thought it was enchanting ;)

No seriously - it was and it had something for everyone. People in the cinema were laughing one moment and arrrr ing the next. It was great fun starting like a classic Disney Princess film and then cutting to the live action complete with (the previously animated) characters bursting into song to the surprise of the other characters. The main character in particular was very well cast.

A great festive film for all the family - Molly really enjoyed it and can't wait to see it again.

Reading about it I have since discovered that the 'voices' of some of the more recent Princesses have cameos and there are some great nods to the Disney classics in there too.

So in summary a big thumbs up - you know what you are getting from the trailers and so you can sit down switch off and enjoy
