wireless router help

i have brought a netgear wireless rounter! i have installed this to my pc upstairs in my bedroom. i am now posting from downstairs on my lap top. i connected my laptop by searching for network connection. typed in my passcode and away i went.

now in the box was another cd and a range max usb adapter. what is this used for and do i need it. also do i install it to lap top or computer??

DH says you do not need to do anything with them - they would only be needed if you brought another computer into the house which was not wireless enabled.

thanks for info! i am going to do that. just leav ethem in box. laptop working fine without them. friend said she thought it might just be a booster for the range of signal.:thumbsup2

I have never used the usb adaptor for mine & I have a netgear router. I get maximum strength wherever I am in the house too:thumbsup2
