Ok Gatordad, this is the ying to your yang. A happy thread to your angry one. I can't very well teach my children to have an attitude of gratitude if I don't lead by example. A happy heart is a healthy heart, after all...
This thread may die a firey death, but I'm gonna try! I have so many things to be thankful for.
1) In 2 weeks time I will be in WDW!!!!!
2) I have an awesome family!
Who's next?

I am happy for the following:
We are going to be at the Fort in 6 days!
We are relatively healthy and so is our family.
I have a wonderful husband and furry kids!
I am happy to have this forum to come and ask questions, sometime even help answer someone else's question and just chat with my Fort Friends.
Just to name a few.

1) I am happy that my family and I are healthy.
2) I am happy that I will spend four days relaxing before Christmas in FW.
3) I am happy that I will be consuming Kungaloosh very soon at FW.
4) I am happy that Auburn beat Florida for the second year in a row and Bama for the 6th year in a row. (The four losses go on the angry thread!)

I'm happy that my son has grown into a very nice young man, and is married to a wonderful girl!
I'm happy that I have no grandchildren yet!! (Waaaay too young for that!)
I'm happy that I have two FW trips to look forward to this year!
I'm happy that I haven't had to issue any infraction points here on this board! (This may possibly be the only DIS board that can claim this!!) I would hate to do that to my FW friends!! :goodvibes
I'm happy that I have no idea who Auburn beat, but I know for sure that my driver, Matt, won the last race of the season!

Ok, not feeling really happy today, but there's always an upside so:
1. I'm happy that we'll be in WDW 2 weeks from today!
2. I'm happy for my wonderful family (except for today) and that DH doesn't want any more kids
3. I'm very happy to be out of work as of yesterday so that I can relax all month!
4. (kind of strange) but I'm happy about looking for a new, hopefully well-paying job in January so that maybe we can buy a truck

Well all of the ft wilderness regulars made me happy last week I had my first stay in the cabins and all of your sites that were decorated where just awesome!!!! We drove around in the golf cart in awe of all the decorations..... So All I can say is thanks for getting me in the Spirit of Christmas. Usually the candlelight procession gets the season started for me but all of your decorations did it for me this season!!!!!!

OK OK OK.
1. I have been blessed in business this year. (Thank you to all my clients)
2. My family has been healthy and we're all here another year.
3. I have a beautiful daughter who thank god loves FW and Disney as much as me.
4. My 1st ever pot roast that I put in the crock pot today before going 4 wheeling in the Ocala Forest turned out pretty tasty and tender.
5. I have disboards to make me laugh.
6. That I got to go to FW about 30 nights this year. (Sorry Shannone:upsidedow )
OK is that good? Oh and last but not least that I have Shannone, BigDisneyDaddy and Gatordad to give a hard time. I may want to post that on your favorite thing at the fort thread.
OMG, I almost forgot. This is the major one. That Rhonda let me get away with so much this year. Thank you my dear Rozalyn lol. I mean Roz.

Our pop up is winterized and staying that way, at least until March, probably until May. It's all tucked away in its blanket, under the snow we had yesterday. We're sucking it up and staying at Pop Century. I think our kids will love it!
Things are fine, PolynesianPixie, thanks for asking. I hated my daughter this week, she's a tough one. I hope that inner strength will get her far in life.
I quit my real estate job because I really need a salary to help pay tuition x2 when DD joins DS in private school. And of course the market in NJ sucks :) It's ok though, because I was a pharmacist in another life and can be one again. :yay:
So I'm happy for my professional license!

Your DD sounds like my DD6! I have transformed into mommy boot camp lately! No more chances~she knows how to act! I love her spirit and I am happy that no one will EVER walk all over her, but I can't allow her to walk all over everybody else either! She is very charming & (if I may say so myself) beautiful, and most people allow her to get away with anything! I'm thinking I may need to home school her just to bring her back down to earth! It's tough and wonderful to be a mom, isn't it?!
I am sure your family will love the Pop, too. I just made their Twinkie Tiramisu for a baby shower~ it was raved about! You must have some while you are there!
Good luck with the new career! I know you will find just what you are looking for!:goodvibes

I am happy that God has blessed us career-wise. DH has a job he likes that can pay the bills. I have a work-from-home job that pays tuition and things like Disney while letting me be here for my munchkins.

I am happy that DSIL's bone marrow transplant has gone well. It was done October 18 and after a rocky start things have improved greatly. The doctor is thrilled with her progress. God willing we will have our big family trip this October.
I am happy also that all of the kids are employed, both DS's and DS's girlfriend.
I am happy that I have the DIS to keep me in touch with FW when we cannot be there.

I'm thankful for the following (and more):
- That God has belssed us with wonderful family and friends
- That we have spent the last year getting our financial health in order (thanks to following Dave Ramsey's plan)
- That we're going down to WDW in a little over a month
- That we've decided to put our DVC on the market and plan to use part of the proceeds to buy an Aliner pop-up camper
- That we already made reservations to spend Thanksgiving 2008 at the Fort (hopefully in the aforementioned Aliner, and if not in our trusty tent)

I have spent a significant part of my adult life being angry. Thank God that aspect of my life is over.
I am happy that I am alive despite some of what I have gone through.
I am happy that my wife has stayed with me through some pretty rough times.
I am happy that we have the means to go to FW every year and, for at least 2 weeks a year, forget our stresses and problems.
I am especially happy that a few of you are going to put my Kungaloosh recipe to good use. KUNGALOOSH! Have one for me.

1. I have a healthy family
2. We have a roof over our heads when so many others do not
3. My teens do not act like typical teens, but are very well mannered and rooted (if not at least they have the sense to fake it in front of me. :goodvibes )
4. I am happy that my DH of 20 years has never changed and is still my true love
5. MOST OF ALL I am happy that the only thing I could think of to post on the angry thread was about my co workers stinky feet. :goodvibes

Recipe for Kungaloosh, copied off the refillable mugs thread (w/o prior permission from Ft wilderness guy:rolleyes1 )
It's KUNGALOOSH
FWGuy's official Fort Wilderness variation (perfected after many attempts)
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup Capt Morgan's spiced rum
1/4 cup blackberry brandy or schnapps
1/4 cup strawberry daiquiri mix
put into Magic Bullet blender with enough ice to make slushy and blend.
Enjoy!

Thanks pixie, unfortunatly, I can't drink enough to make it go away. I have osteo arthritis in my left ankle ( its the worst) as well as right ankle, knees and hips. I have had 2 operations on left. Each one made it worse, the doctors want to put pins and plate and screws and what ever else they find in the hardware drawer in it, but after the last 2 ops, I am a little nervous. It has been about 4 years since last operation tho. 5 yrs ago they wanted to replace my knees, but said I was too young ( only 34 at time) and tooo fat. I also had 2 vertebre in my back operated on about 6 yrs ago, and 1 month after surery, I sneezed and blew them both back out YEAH!!
But wait a minute... this is the happy thread, I should have put all this in the angy thread ...:)
When the pain is too bad, I visualize my happy place "the fort"

only 11 weeks to go ... only 11 weeks to go ... only 11 weeks to go ....
Oh my! That's a little more than my acupuncturist can handle (don't tell him I said that). Geez, and I was complaining of a little back ache! I do hope you get some relief...and soon! Pain sucks! On the bright side, you may be the bionic man, soon! Better yet, the bionic man at FtW!:thumbsup2

Cool thread :thumbsup2
I'm happy today is the 4 month anniversary of the day we closed on our house after 14 years of waiting saving and renting. I am happy my kids have a whole neighborhood full of kids to play with, and are healthy and able to enjoy it. I am happy that I will be leaving for WDW in 6 weeks and 3 days. :cool1:
Thanks! Happiness is great ~everyone should try it!
Congrats on the house and the trip!:cool1:

I am happy because our HS got out at 11am today because of a water main break and no water pressure (peee-u!) and I got SOOOO much done today instead of being at work! :cool1:

I'm sure the taxpayers of south florida share your jubilee that they paid you to clown around...... I'm going to call Charlie and make sure that folks aren't paid for hours they didn't work.:lmao:

Actually I got to catch up on my other job, making replica football jerseys. And, if the wonderful State of Florida and St. Lucie County workers hadn't ruptured the main this morning, we would not have had to smell the wonderful odor all morning in the brand new schoo! :scared1: Of course, the HS students were oooooh so mature about the whole thing, not! I am still experimenting with the FL jerseys. I haven't got them quite right yet. I am being very persnickity and making sure they are as close to
replica as I can make them. I have ole miss, auburn, tennesee, alabama, and lsu
right now.

Maybe that will make up for the hours that we put in and never get paid for anyway! You KNOW us teachers make so much money!:lmao:

Let me know when you figure out how to make a real college jersey, i'd love to buy one. You know, the blue white and orange is quite difficult to copy, just like a $20 bill...:lmao:

It is that three color number junk that you reptiles insist on having! What size do you wear? I have to make an order today and the only one I have right now is a royal large.

I'm all happy because I got another reservation back-to-back with my FW reservation for next August, so after a wonderful week and a half at the Fort (with a sewer hookup, too, we're livin' large here!), we're going to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 nights. I even got a Savannah View room for 5 people! It's stupid expensive (cost way more than my whole FW reservation), but my teenagers won't be around much longer to enjoy it with us, and I can't wait! It's going to be a great trip.
Yipee!!!!! :yay:

Now I'm confused about whether this should be in the angry or happy thread, maybe someone should start a hangry thread? If you're hangry and you know it, clap your hands.

Sue in TexasYou will LOVE AKL! It's wonderful. That's a place that makes me really happy. Even just walking out to the pool and hearing the music makes me smile. We're only 4 people so the rooms are a little cheaper.
And a week and a half at the Fort? That's plenty to be happy about. :)

We told you so!! It's all about the FOOD on the DDP!! (It's still a good deal though!) Hope you had a easy & safe drive home! We did.... but then again, not much can happen in a 30 minute trip. We left FtW about 8:30a. Al wore us out!

(feels his devil horns sprouting)...care to elaborate on that???very slowly and with vivid details?:lmao: Im just kidding...working in the adult entertainment, 85% of the girls I work with are at least bisexual, and some of the straight up dedicated lesbians are drop dead gorgeous and can make the guests feel like they are falling head over heels in love with them....some of these girls deserve Oscars, I swear!!

HaHaHa! She is a dear FRIEND. I can appreciate beauty in anything, even another woman! I do act with her, though. Of course, we both deserve Oscars ;) . .....For different reasons, I'm suspecting.
