Well, now I've read posts from people that were AT Riverside and the mansions were all open.....

Next I've read a post from someone that called for May resies and Disney told them that only the Bayou would be open then.

Does anyone know for sure what's up?

Confused in Illinois!

I have read on some peoples reports that they were put into the Mansions for their Feb trips this year. When they asked at check in they were told that if the Alligator Bayou rooms were sold out they open the mansions.

I'd request a mansion room and if it is available you will be happy. I think that things are picking up since they ahve closed so many rooms at other resorts they are needing to open the mansions again.

I spoke with my mom last week and she says that there is a rumor running through the Port Orleans staff that all buildings may be back on line as early as April because of high demand for the resort. She says she will keep me informed.

Hi.

In response to you queries re the mansions at POR..I am also now as confused as you!!!!

However, having said this, we are staying at POR from March 18, 2002 until March 24, 2002 and when I made the booking, I requested the mansions, namely Magnolia Terrace.

The CR who took my reservation made a note of my request and didn't say anything about the mansions not being open at that time.

I am now thinking that I should telephone the resort directly to make sure as I really prefer the mansions over Alligator Bayou.

I will post again once I have spoken to someone from the resort directly.

Have a great trip...I know we will.

Stayed at the Mansions last week, and loved it. It's so beautiful and peaceful.
