We'll be WL guests tomorrow and plan to take the boat from WL to FW on 2 evenings. (1 for campfire or wagon ride, 1 for Trails' End).
1) How do we get from the boat launch to the Meadows for the campfire?
2) When returning to WL, what is the fastest way? Is there a direct bus in the evenings? Or do we return to the boat and ride (possibly having to approach WL via CR on that boat route).

Thanks!!!

Before 3pm the boat goes WL/CR/FW after 3 they reverse route Wl/FW/CR, so for getting to T.E. the boat will be fastest, to get home it will be relaxing.

For the campfire show your best bet is the bus between FW and WL, since its second stop after WL will be the campfire show. After the show go back to the same stop you got off at and board the Orange Settlement bus, this is the bus that goes out to WL(the marque changes after it reaches Settlment).

If you are going for the wagon ride, either bus or boat will work, for the bus get off when it reaches FW, this is the Settlement stop. If for some reason you can't ride the boat(bad weather) Settlement is also the stop for T.E.

Walk from the boat landing...it's faster than the bus (if you count waiting for the bus).

There is a nice sidewalk that will take you straight to the Meadow.

It's only 1/2 mile. You'll be doing 5 to 8 in the parks.

About how long for the return trip to WL?

So if I read this correctly, the internal bus system at FW is also making trips to the WL (which are separate from buses to the parks which the 2 share). Is that correct?

Wouldn't I need to get from the Settlement to TE after getting off the bus? Is there a separate bus?

Yeah, I hadn't considered the waiting for the bus. Moving is always better than waiting with a 2yo in tow.

I've never really timed it but I would guess 20-30 min on the boat, not including waiting for the boat

Yes that is correct, the Orange Settlement bus goes out to WL and becomes the Orange Outpost bus when it comes back from WL.

T.E. is a short walk from the Settlement stop, about the same distance as it is from the dock

You will wait on the bus or the boat either way, or not, timing is everything;) . There is a walkway between the two resorts that ends near the Settlement bus stop, but it is not lit at night, so it would not be the best way home.
