Need a hotel for Syracuse with free parking - or low fee parking - and airport shuttle or what option have people found best when using Syracuse? I was thinking of the Holiday Inn Express Airport or does anyone have a hotel they recommend? thanks all. ;)

Hello!!

I don't believe anyone offers "free" parking, but most do have park n' fly rates if you call the local hotel numbers. Over the years we have stayed at the Best Western right next to the airport, but I do not recommend it there. It has really gone downhill, and we will not be returning. In about a week we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express, and I'd be happy to report back upon our arrival home!!

Most area hotels have airport shuttles, so I just called around to price out the park n' fly rates. Again, I would suggest calling the local hotel numbers though, since most websites and 1-800 numbers don't know much about the park n' fly rates. Good luck! :goodvibes

We stayed here last year and found the experience much better than the Best Western Airport inn. Even though it is an older hotel, the rooms were clean, and most important it was not noisy! You could book your shuttle times and the free buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise! We are planning on booking our park n fly package there again this year. I haven't had much luck with the previous mentioned park n fly site. It only gives you two choices and you can do much better price wise phoning the hotels and making your bookings over the phone. I always use my CAA membership and it brings the quoted price down. Hope this helps!

We used the Comfort Suites this past March for our 21 day park n fly. Apparently they have changed their rules. $125 night includes 10 days parking and then $5.00/day after that. Great hotel, good breakfast.

Have heard about one of the Holiday Inns doing a $99.00/night with up to 30 days parking included. I am going to check it out this weekend when I am in Syracuse, will report back next week.

Any updates on this? Or any other Syracuse hotel recommendations? I think we may head down for a couple of days of post Christmas shopping to Syracuse.

We always fly from Syracuse, we live in Ottawa but flying from Syracuse is much much cheaper even if you count your gas and hotel it is still cheaper. We always stay at the Hampton Inn, love the Hampton Inn.

We are from Ottawa and going to Disney world in March and considering flying out of an American Airport. Which airline do you normally use out of Syracuse?

Booked Holiday Inn Electronics Parkway today for our trip in March 08 in Syracuse on Park and Fly rate. $104.30 plus tax car may remain for up to 21 days. Also has a free shuttle, booked room with Tiffany.

Also we always fly Jetblue love them!!!

Siobhan - ;) Thanks for the info on the Holiday Inn... We need to leave our car for about 2 1/2 weeks, so that is good to know. I will call the hotel directly to find out. So that is the Holiday Inn at Liverpool, not the airport one? Thanks.

Hi all!

calena - I grew up a couple of miles from the airport... the HI Express is a newer hotel right at the end of the access road to the airport. If you Mapquest it, the address is 5418 South Bay Road, North Syracuse.

The HI (not Express, just regular HI) on Electronics Parkway is about 4 miles away, a couple of exits south on I-81. Still quite close! Also, that puts you within a couple of miles of Carousel Center as well. The Electronics Parkway/7th North Street area is basically right between the airport and Carousel.

Yes it is the Holiday Inn Liverpool, great location, we have stayed here a couple of times before on our shopping trips. No free breakfast , but thats OK as the free parking really makes up for it.

We usually stay just outside Syracuse at the TurningStone Indian Casino. There is a shuttle from there to the airport and we usually stay there a night or two when we get back too. Good for the folks without kids and who like to gamble.

Just got back... we had excellent service at the Holiday Inn Express! The shuttle was great, both drivers were very polite. The manager came out to shovel out our car for us and helped with luggage. He also offered us coffee, tea or hot chocolate before we left. GREAT place! :goodvibes

How much was your rate and for how many days were you allowed to leave your car in that rate. We need 21 days, so the best deal so far I have found is the Holiday Inn Liverpool

I think our rate was around $120, and we left the car for 7 nights. The service was fantastic, we will definitely stay there again.

Just an update on this. We booked the Holiday Inn Liverpool - I think it was about $114 and free parking for three weeks. The other hotels I looked at wanted to charge us extra for parking after one week and at $5 a day it added up, so we are doing this.
