My DH & I are considering buying a ToyHauler and hope to be able to stay at Fort Wilderness in November 2008. We already have a gas powered golf cart. Does Disney allow gas powered golf carts at Fort Wilderness?

I called the bike barn about a month ago when we started looking to buy a cart. They said gas is ok as long as it has a "hospital" muffler. Well NOBODY in the world knows what that is. I called ezgo, clubcar etc and none had heard of a hospital muffler.

Some one who has had there gas cart at the fort might be better to answer, but as long as it doesn't bother anyone, it should be fine.

Hospital probably means quiet.

Get an electric, they don't need a muffler.

Technically they are NOT allowed but we all know how WDW is about enforcing golf cart rules. BTW, most other CG will not let you use a gas cart, so if you plan on using it anywhere else, I would suggest an electric cart.

To me I dont see how they cant let gas carts in when half of the employees carts are gas!!!! Loud toros riding everywhere, the workers that clean the recycle bins and blow off the sites are driving gas carryalls. The only thing that might stop gas vehicles are those people driving those yamaha rhions around and those polaris rangers around those are a little too much but I guess if they drive safe and obey the rules what can you say!!!!

did anyone look at some of the other videos on youtube about golf carts? What do you think disney would say about the jet carts? :rotfl:

Very cool!!!! I would break something on that cart for sure!!!! I run my carts hard. I know them they have nice CC'c. I talk with him at the Fort.

he's not done yet either. I spoke with him on Saturday, he's adding more.
