I'm just super excited! Woot!
Today is my big day for packing. I hope to get 90% done. We're leaving Las Vegas on Saturday morning. Funny thing is that I still do not know where we're staying! You know when you have a friend who is always saying if you do 'x' give him a call and he'll hook you up. So we thought it would be rude to not call this guy for a hotel after he had extended so many offers. Hehe. Well I still don't have my reservation although it's still 'no problem'!
Anyway at the terminal our daughter will probably be the smallest Minnie! I searched all over DL in Feb for a small costume and the only 18 month they had was Minnie. So Minnie she is! If you see the smallest Minnie with a family of brothers...that is us!
We're getting close!

Two more hours and I'm out of work. Then I only have about 301 things to do at home before tomorrow. Brooklyn you only have about 350 things to do before you go right:rotfl: See you tomorrow!
Sorcerer Mom give big hugs to DD for tomorrow! I just had one of my brokers in who's grandson is graduating as well. All I had to do was tell her about DD's and she was emptying my tissue box. Glad to know I'm not the only sap :lovestruc

Just got home from errands. I'm just putting everything out, but not packing it yet. We're celebrating Father's Day with my Dad tonight, so I guess I'll start actually filling the suitcases in the morning.
We're soooooooooooo excited !!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
DS & I are filling the FE gift bags right now!
I need to quit reading the "tips" thread though -- now I'm obsessed with finding suction cups for the bathroom, but that's okay. I think it's the kind of thing you find when you're not looking.
A trip to Target may be in the cards tomorrow. :worried:

So yesterday was VERY eventful for us!
We went to DL for DD's birthday. Well while there our party of 4 on the cruise has turned into 11!!!! :scared1: THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
My mom is coming with us which great but now that means I have to get my house ready to leave alone or a week. She was supposed to be here so I did not have to worry about those details!
Then DH calls at 6:00PM and says his car has broken down in the middle of nowhere. He was driving home from Monterey. He assures me it will be fixed tonight and to head home from Anaheim. He calls at 10:30 saying there is no way it will be fixed and I need to come get him. He is 31/2 hours away. Needless to say we arrived back home around 6AM.
I am now LOSING my mind!!!!!
Off I go on NO SLEEP.....looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow!

BROOKLYN!!!! Holy cow!!!! So, you're Mom is coming on the cruise!! WOW!!! and at the last minute....good for her! I wish I could get my Mom to do that. No such luck...we put her on the red-eye last night and we've all been red-eyed (my DD especially) since she left. Waiting to hear from her that she arrived home after a 3 hr drive from the airport. She doesn't have a cell phone if you could imagine.
I feel like I've been off the boards for weeks! Life has been like a hurricane since I left work on Tuesday! Now, I can't believe we leave TOMORROW!!! Stress and excitment...I'm pretty much jumping out of my skin today between getting stuff done and finishing packing. I kid around with gundo870 but truth be told, I really need to get cracking. My Mom's visit, graduation has put be behind! :scared1:

Good idea. I always threaten to not pack my DH's underwear if he doesn't help me, that usually works. Although his help really doesn't help all that much it's just the point of not letting him watch baseball while I'm packing:teeth:

Wow!!! That was a good time.
Lots of good food (especially Palo), wine, deserts, ice cream and more food!! I came home weighing the same! Go figure.
Now we got the first Disney cruise under our belt, time to plan the next. Anyone else book their next cruise on this one? We booked a dummy date, hoping for the Med cruise or a cruise on the new ship.
Thanks also for all the FE gifts. That was really and it was exciting to get back to the stateroom to see what was left for us.
Now I am trying to sift through over 500 photos and alittle video to make a quick DVD for the family, doing laundry and putting this back in order.
I am too tired to write more...:faint:

We also made it home last night. DD has to work today. It was great meeting everyone. I was not feeling to well the last 2 sea days, so I spent a lot of time in the room. Thanks to everyone for the great FE gifts.. My DD had a great time running back to the room to see what was left.

Glad to hear people are home safe and sound - we're home and doing tons of laundry and going through withdrawals from the wonderful time my entire family had!
Thank you all so much for the wonderful FE gifts. The kids were constantly checking to see what other "goodies" the fairies left for them!
Glad to meet the ones we did and sorry we never hooked up with the ones we didn't!
I am now a Disney Cruise Line Convert and have convinced DH to go on a Disney cruise.
Thanks again to all ~ will write more later!!!

The only exception was Brooklyn...nice to meet you and Brooklyn. Thanks for the use of your extra FE. I think I will be asking my mother-in-law to make a few. Maybe even on ebay!
Anyone else besides us book their next cruise while on board?

Hi Everyone! It was so great meeting all of you. We had an INCREDIBLE time.
We booked on board hoping for the Med in 2010. I have been so sad. I miss the ship sooooo much! Brooklyn cried when leaving. Def makes it worth spending all the money to see a reaction like that!!!
Marie, we had such a good time on the last night. I am surprised I was not more hung over. I drank so much in such a short amount of time. It was AWESOME!!!
I just can't wait till the 2010 dates come out!!!!!!!!
Thanks for all of the great gifts from everyone. It was so fun coming back to the room and having full fish extenders each day!!!! :cool1:

Hi Everybody,
We're back home in Ohio after the red-eye from LAX. We had the most wonderful vacation, and I really want to thank all of you for the amazing fish extender gifts. Our kids were absolutely delighted, and it was so fun to see the creativity and thought that went into the project. We all had such fun with it.
I hope you all had as much fun as we did. I was the one crying in Parrot Cay at late breakfast Sunday... I really want to go back!!!
Cheers, everybody!

Thanks everyone for adding to our magical memories. The FE gifts were so fun and enjoyed by all. It was wonderful to meet soooo many diser's and to have dinner each night with Brooklyn and her family. Reality hit quickly as we drove home to 100 degree temps and a broken A.C. in the house. My parents had been staying there and just thought there was a problem with the reset and shut it off and opened the windows. We walked into a 92 degree home downstairs:scared1: For those who don't know, I have M.S. and heat freaks my body out so all I could do for two days was sit in the coolest room until it got fixed. The heat rewires my nerve patterns and my walking abilty gets really bad so going out anywhere was really difficult. I went back to work today but with really numb feet. Hopefully by Thursday I will be back to norm.
Sorcerer Mom DD had a ball with your DD daughter. When it cools down in Vegas, we may have to schedule a shopping trip! Let us know when the photo bucket account is up.
Thanks again everyone. It really was terrific to be part of such a great group!

HI EVERYONE!!!
Getting ready to go back to work tomorrow but wishing I was going to bed being welcomed by a towel animal and reading a navigator then waking up to Brendt telling me what a fantastic day was in store for us! It was truly a magical vacation for my family...thanks in part to all of you. Christine and Joey's surprise was worth waiting for...the look on my kids' and husband's face was priceless. Brooklyn - perhaps he was still in shock at brunch...he really does talk! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful fish extender gifts...it was great getting gifts from your home states and the personalized gifts were so special...we've been enjoying going thru all our loot since we're home. Even tho we were on the ship for 7 days, it sure was hard to fit everything in. I was torn between wanting to be lazy by the pool and going to activities...I have to admit..lazy by the pool won out most times.
Marie! Glad you're on the mend...I feel your pain girlfriend - have been there many times :lmao: Hope we can get to see you during a trip to Vegas. BTW, DS's pic is in the group photo taken in The Stack on homecoming looking very handsome!
Brooklyn - GREAT to meet you and your family! Anyone who can do shots of Jager on the ocean and live to tell about it is a-okay in my book! Loved seeing Brooklyn in the talent show..she is destined for great things :thumbsup2. Be sure to keep us posted on what she's doing okay?! Next time, I don't care if I'm falling asleep at dinner, I am not missing the first night and Magic Quest. I'll have to get Joey to re-enact that one - Christine, break out the yellow shoes! Riiiigggghhhhht!
Dana - I still owe you that drink...sorry we never got to sit, relax and visit...maybe next time or hopefully in Vegas! The invitation is always open! It would be great if you guys could make the trip! Thanks for everything you did. I missed seeing DS4..he is a doll, DS14 is a super kid - you must be so proud of him and we've decided to adopt DD! Hope you're cooling off and feeling better. We were shocked at how hot it was driving home in 109 degree heat:sunny:. You really feel like you're in another world on the boat.
To all our other DIS friends that we met, even briefly, thanks for making our first DC so special. We booked another on board and I think even my DH is hooked (& that's not easy to do!). Dana, you were right...he's yelling at me to say hello to this one and that one as I'm typing...now he understands why these boards are so addictive.
I got teary taking one last look at the lobby before we stepped outside on Sunday but it was a teeny bit easier leaving knowing we'd be back. ::yes::
Looking forward to seeing some pics from everyone! :cool1:

Hi Everyone,
It's Jannine, AirTita's sister.
Thank you ALL so much for making our very first Disney cruise so MAGICAL! My DH John and my DD Liliana had a WONDERFUL time! :wizard: pixiedust:
It was great to meet so many of you in line at the terminal, smiling and waving around the ship, etc... :thanks:
Special "hi" to LVStitch and DH! We had a blast swinging through the PV Canopy treetops! Hearing each other scream while we zipped around and surviving the bumpy 1 hour ride each way was a bonding experience! :grouphug:
The FE gifts were so much fun! You all are so GENEROUS! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We hope to sail again...Disney all the way!

OK - kinda computer illiterate but how do you view and or add to photo bucket?
We really enjoyed meeting everyone and wish we could have spent more time together! There was soooo much to do and not enough time!
We didn't book another cruise while on board but....DH is convinced that it is a GREAT cruise and has said that we will be on another Disney Cruise soon; I've even started to browsing for DS's winter and spring breaks next year but the destinations aren't anything new. Want to either do St. Croix or Tortola but the dates aren't working out yet!
Is anyone interested in keeping this thread going as a way to
"check in" with each other? I'll try to log on and see what's going on with you all! Have to say, this was the BEST cruise we've been on and we've done 6 in 3 years so that says something!!!

I have photo's and will try to upload/add to photobucket hopefully sometime this week!
I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed this cruise and chatting with everyone even if we didn't meet up as much as I would have liked. I think the FE's were a great way to get you caught up in the magic :tink:
BTW - the Travel Channel had a special on the Disney Cruise Line and our own dear Cruise Director Brent was on it! I also swear I saw our asst. waiter Kendell as well! Can't believe it's been a week since we left our ship!
