Last Saturday Wait Time For MS

Needed to call Saturday for my last day on ressie.

After several busy signals, got thru to recording @ 1:05 EST

Waited on hold over 30 minutes:eek:

Recording said it could take up to 20 minutes (thought they were kidding lol).

Have never had the ocassion to call on a Saturday before; is this normal MO?

Was thinking perhaps short-staffed due to holiday weekend or perhaps just the time frame - 3rd week of October?:confused3

IMO not acceptable; would rather just call on Monday instead.

I called MS Saturday. I didn't have any problems. There are times when I call when it says the wait time may be awhile, that I just hang up and try again. Sorry you were on hold so long, that is aggravating.

In January I was on hold for 30+ minutes on a Saturday. At other times of the year, the wait wasn't as bad. Were you calling on the day people were booking the Members Cruise?

I have called MS on Saturday a few times. I found that when I call close to 1:00 then I have longer wait times, but when I wait until an hour or so before closing the wait times drop significantly.

Sorry you had to wait so long...that can be very frustrating.

I think that they started Saturday hours primarily for members in California. That doesn't mean that others can't call then, but there may be an abundance of left coasters calling on Saturday.

Never though about CA & time difference:)

usually i get right thru when i call 1st thing, only time any sort of wait (5 min or so) is when i call during lunch hours.

haven't called & booked anything for ages, hopefully - just hit it when they were overly busy

if only i hadn't called from my cell phone;)

When I asked about the long Sat wait times I was told they didn't hire any more phone reps to man the reservation desk at member svcs on Sat.

The rep told me if they had hired more people our dues would have to go up.Therefore they pulled people from the regular work week to do the Saturday job and they only had a small crew to do it. I have learned never to call on Saturday since the wait time spent listening to some obscure ride music is not worth it.

That is so strange! I have never called on a Saturday before, but I did call this last Saturday b/c I was making a day-by-day ressie. I called as soon as my cell said 1:00 & got right through. :confused3 Hope you have a better time of it...waiting on hold is never fun!
