Love the look of expedition everest but I'm a bit of a wimp and can't get a good idea of how intense it is. Is most of the ride hidden away so you can't see it? :confused3

I was very proud of myself last visit when I did RnRc and mummy(US) and loved them. Then did SpM in Paris and eek -lots of screaming and felt very wobbly after :scared1: - I found it much worse than SpM in Florida which I like.
I'm guessing EE is no problem for the coaster buffs but what about the 'not so brave'? How steep and long is the worst drop - is it worse than SplashM? Anyone done it and survived?!

If you do a search on YouTube you'll find links to people's video of Everest :scared1:

There are some in the Trip Report board but I'd say the search in YouTube is probably easier to use. Personally, I wouldn't know as I'm even more of a wimp and sent my daughter on her own :guilty:

I think if you can cope with RnRc, then you should be able to do EE. It's a brilliant ride and I think you should give it a go

I hope you enjoy it :thumbsup2

I'm afraid I wasn't brave enough to try it either, but my son loved it !!

But then I'm not a rollercoaster fan anyway. (Hubby hated it)

Thanks. :thumbsup2
I'm not scared of yetis/dark etc and I'd hate to miss seeing the theming inside but don't want to be left jelly legged! Watched You tube -thanks for idea - seemed like BTMR with a big drop and of course the backwards bit!!!
I know DS's (17,19) will be piling on the pressure for this one - want to be prepared! They'll go on anything of course!

Still thinking......

I am not a great lover of roller coasters but have done both RnRc and Everest. If you have done RnRc I think you will be fine on Everest. :thumbsup2

Agree with others if you can do RnRc you will be fine. DMIL does everest no problem but wont do RnRc.
To me its a bit pathetic but I love rides like Hulk, Sheikra, Kraken etc.

Thanks Wayne, pathetic sounds just about right for me! :thumbsup2 My youngest ds(11) must have got my genes - won't go on many rides. It's so frustrating when I know he'd probably love them.
I think I'll give EE a go.....maybe - can always chicken out on the day. :rotfl:
4 months to go - can't wait

I loved EE, such a smooth ride, and it happens so fast, there isnt really time to have any worries.

A Friend was there last week I told her about it in advance, she didn't tell her mum, but they all went on it.

Mum loved it but was just surprised by the back-wards bit.

I think EE is somewhere between Big Thunder mountain, Rock, N Roller Coaster and the drop on Splash Mountain. If you can manage them then you should be fine on EE.

Well I'm terrified (and I can't emphasise the word enough) of rollercoasters and I was fine on this one and would do it again. Mind you it was a different story when I was in the queue

hated Sm in Paris, really made me feel ill but love EE, mainly because its mainly out in the open, admittedly the backwards bit makes you feel a bit weird but if you know its coming you can prepare yourself for it

If you have done the Mummy then you won't have a problem with EE,I would descibe it as a cross between Mummy & the non-water part of Journey to Atlantis at SW.We all loved it,nearly enough to make you want to go back to AK!;)

Looks like I'm going to be the only dissenting voice here!

I have ridden The Mummy without any problems and RnRC leaves me a little wobbly legged, but ok as long as I only ride it once. However, EE left me feeling ill for a couple of hours. The biggest problem for me was after the big drop where you go round at high speed for quite a while.

I guess it depends how bad you get motion sickness. I would certainly give it a go, you may be fine.

Thanks Kevin. It's good to hear the negatives as well! Better to be prepared.
I'm not too good on spinny things anymore-no more waltzers for me! :rotfl:
Was thinking of trying the easy option on Mission Space because of that. ;)

i also found it to be a very intense ride....

i've never ridden RNRC because of the barrel roll at the end - i know i can't do those because of my motion sickness...
but i have ridden the mummy without problems..

everyone told me in advance that it's just thunder mountain on steroids but that was an understatement as far as i'm concerned...

both DD and I found EE to be very intense and know that we will never ride it again....however, we are both very glad to have ridden it once, since we both consider it to be a great ride...

by the way, my daughter was fine afterwards, but it took me about an hour to recover (which i did by sitting in the Nemo theatre waiting for the next show....
