Hi Everyone
I know this might seem a bit sporadic but I've just had toast (again) for my late breakfast and I'm bored of it. I'm bored of toast and I'm bored of cereals. So I'm looking for your alternatives, anything and everything you have for breakfast that I could recreate when I'm not feeling the toast and cereal love. (unfortunately this rules out mickey waffles, but such is life. They wouldn't be fun in FL if I made them at home).

I'm looking forward to hearing your responses and hopefully finding some fabby ideas!!

I love a toasted bagel with phildephia spread for breakfast. if I am out all day at uni I will have toasted cheese + ham sandwhich for breakfast as I don't have time to eat much during the day.

Another vote here for bagels and philedelphia.

How about yoghurt and mixing some fruit and oats with it. Had this in Port Orleans FQ and loved it.

When I'm bored I buy crumpets or muffins to vary it a bit, I've also bought raisin cinnamon bread and malt loaf. Scrambled eggs with chesse and ham is quick to make too.

Ok, sort of cereal, but "hot instant porridge"... keeps you full and is nice and hot on cold winters mornings (most of them you just throw in the milk and microwave for about 2 minutes). You can add all sorts of things to make it different - fresh fruit, dried fruit and a bit of cinamon, a bit of granola etc.

Porridge is also excellent for you - very high in soluable fibre and good for reducing cholesterol etc... :thumbsup2

sometimes scambled aggs, sometimes mushrooms.
Love Black pudding, but normally only on the menu on a Friday.

I am gonna die one day regardless of how I look after my Chloesterol (which funnily enough is not high!) Might as well enjoy my one time on this planet :rotfl:

I am really boring and always have fruit and muesli for brekkie every day. I do, however, on special occasions like a nice fresh croissant with marmalade :thumbsup2

So this is now the "Anti-DIS DIETERS of the week" thread?!? :lmao:

Seriously this thread was immediately above the DIET thread before I posted this reply... :rotfl:

Maybe I should have specified healthy breakfast alternatives. no matter, I think some of these ideas are fab, and although I couldn't physically eat the daily breakfast that Obi seems to love, I do think it sounds pretty awesome and could rival any Ponderosa ice cream and muffin breakfast!!

I think the things we love to eat ARE the reason for the dis dieters thread :rotfl2: i would easily be a size 10 if my favourite food was lettuce ;)

Lettuce for breakfast...? Nope, don't think that one will catch on! :lmao:

I will have to stick to being a curvy "late teens" then... :goodvibes

We do low carb eating so breakfast for us is usually boiled eggs, ham or cheese omlette etc. If I'm not going to be at home for a few days I cook a tortilla with ham or chicken, cut it into pieces and keep them for breakfast whilst I'm out. I also stir-fry low sugar vegetables such as cauliflower and leeks and make a tortilla with them.

We also eat continental meats, olives, cheeses and almond bread which is gorgeous.

I cook something called cheeseburger pie which is mincemeat topped with yoghurt, cream and cheese and baked. It is really nice hot or cold so I can freeze it and take it out to thaw for breakfast.

I also cook chicked or fish goujons with soy protein isolate (flour substitute) and have those for breakfast.

Breakfast used to be the nightmare meal for us on low carb but we've learned to improvise!
