Go Bucks!!

Absolutely!!! I'm still holding out hope for a championship game. I know...several things need to fall in place, but, wouldn't it be cool to play...say WV???? :rolleyes1

Just curious what other Ohioans are out here, as I know a ton of people from OH travel to the east coast on vacation. I haven't run across anyone on the boards, though. Much less DVC owners.

Thanks for posting and GOOOOOOOOO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Rabid Buckeye fan here...uncle (in Toledo) and brother (in Lima) are alums. Alas...we now live far away, and the best I can do is console myself by making buckeye candies at Christmastime.

Go Buckeyes! (And Mud Hens!)

That's great, ShellBelle! I wouldn't have dreamed I would have received a post from Utah. :goodvibes Well...in a nail-biter, I watched LSU go down to Arkansas. Folks are saying that Oklahoma can knock off Missouri. I don't think my heart can take it!!! 3 OTs in the LSU game about just about took me out! :confused3 I'm just praying we don't look like we did against FL. I was at the Illinois game and after 1/2 time, NO adjustments. Yikes!!! At that point, I was wishing for DVC and a happier place! :lmao:

I know exactly what you mean! And on Saturday I nearly ended up having heart failure watching the last quarter of the BYU-Utah game :happytv: (okay, neither team's ranked, but the Holy War around here makes the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry look tame.)

Not a DVC owner but will probably become one within a few years. West Jefferson area. Intending on renting at OKW in 2008 and if the experience is as enjoyable as it portends, we'll probably look for a OKW resale some time in 2009. We have paid much tuition to OSU for 2 sons.

Are those Bengal stripes I recognize there? I'm a Buckeye fan - my son's best friend is at OSU. My son is currently a Bearcat so we are huge Bearcat fans. Go Cats! My son may go to OSU next year for grad school. We are DVC members at BWV since 2000 and just caught addonitis and now are proud owners at AKV also. We will be at AKV in June 2008. When is your next trip?

Hi, everybody!!!

Thanks so much for posting! As for the pic of my son and daughter, YES!!! Those are Bengals stripes. DH, DS, DD and I live in Westerville, but grew up in southern (South Point) OH. We got Cinci Bengals & Reds games, so we are HUGE Cinci fans as well! What happened to our poor Bengals this year??? At least the Browns turned out to be respectable this year (one of my best friends is from SH in Cleveland...so, I have to root for them, too!). :cheer2:

Glad to see so many Ohio folks! I work for a large company in downtown Cols and thought I would have run into SOMEONE who was a Dis fan, but really haven't yet. My SIL/BIL are also owners and live in Westerville, but only folks I've really met.

Hi to the Gahanna post!!!! You're just a few miles from us. :goodvibes Well, one thing is for sure...our Buckeyes still have hope! :scared:

Another Gahanna here!! We are Buckeye fans, as well as alumni. As of last week we had two Rose Bowl tickets and were ready to purchase. Now, we are waiting patiently for National Championship possibilities. However, I wouldn't complain too much if I got to see the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl and visit DL while we were out there.. .not a bad consolation prize :flower3:

How funny, ebenmax!!! I thought the same thing about the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately, not sure if you've priced tickets yet, but...ouch! :headache: I told hubby he could go, but I'd hang back with the kids and enjoy it on TV. Would love to go, but I could take 3 trips (with kids) to Dis for what it was going to cost the two of us to go to either game!

Just holding on to see where we end up! :surfweb:

Oh my!!! Was tonight a good night in college football or what? I honestly didn't know if Oklahoma was going to pull off the win going into half time and poor Pitt was on the wrong side of a few calls. I never dreamed both WV AND Missouri would go down. Ahhhhhhh....:rolleyes1

The only thing that would have made it better...being there in person or watching from a DIS resort!

Can't wait to see how the bowls pan out! Go Bucks!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hey fellow OSU fans! I found a really cool Mickey/OSU pin when I was down at WDW in late Sept. I'm not into the pin trading thing, but I couldn't pass these up! I bought as many as I could for family and friends. You can buy them online too at disneypins.com Just thought I'd pass this along since many on this thread are Buckeye fans!

I grew up in Oakwood (Dayton/south). I delivered newspapers to the off-campus UD students. This experience did not endear me to the Flyers.
I became an OSU fan in the late sixties and never stopped. I really like the current coach. OSU had their fair share of "thugs" throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's. Now, they just seem to have more class.
Moved to Indiana after military, but I still have fond memories of Oakwood and the surrounding area.

Isn't Tress the best? Not only has he had a phenomenal record since he joined OSU, he has brought class to the organization. Even during press conferences, I'm amazed at the poise, composure and sportsmanship those young men display.

Can you imagine how good we'll be next year??? :woohoo:

I agree, "the vest" is great. I read that last years recruiting class had an average grade point of over 3.2. A number of them were close to or at 4.0.
The University as a whole has been on an academic upswing. It is a good time to be a Buckeye fan.
It is hard to believe that after loosing all the stars from last year, the Bucks are back in the National Championship.

We're in Medina county, but can't say that we're Buckeye fans...the OSU we prefer is OKLAHOMA State University! My dad's a professor there, so we have to say that. :rolleyes1

It was funny, though, when I first moved here and kept hearing them talk about OSU this and OSU that and Coach Cooper, I couldn't figure out what the heck Ohioans cared about Oklahoma football for! Coach Cooper coached at my uni, Tulsa, so for some reason, I had it in my head that he'd moved to OK State.

Glad to see so many neighbors on the boards!
