GirlsonTour Trip Report 11th October 2007 – 25th October 2007
Coronado Springs Resort and Hard Rock Hotel

Andrea – chief planner, chief of money (for this holiday) and generally chief of everything.

Andy – chief provider of money and unwilling participant of this holiday

Kara – chief spender of money and very willing participant of this holiday due to the fact that Mum and Dad were paying.

Lucy – chief of all red heads and chief moaner (especially in hot weather).

I’m not going to go into great detail about this holiday as I believe that we all eat, drink and enjoy ourselves in similar ways when going on a Disney holiday. So you can expect loads of photo’s and very little commentary!!

8 weeks before leaving Andy “just” mentioned that he wasn’t really looking forward to going – WHAT!! Too late to cancel (and believe me I would have) we (being the females in the family) decided that he would be fine when he got there…how wrong we were!

THURSDAY 11TH OCTOBER

Girls very excited because we could check in at the First class desk!!

Flight from Manchester VS075

http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w217/Girlsontour_01/plane.jpg

Running about 15 minutes late but still landed 30 minutes early at Orlando. Can’t remember what we watched on TV but can recommend those aisles of 2 seats at the back of the plane..loads more space. Do remember that we had "playstation" games on the TV.

Space by the side of seats..

My girls are very easily pleased and got all excited about the eye masks of which there must be at least 16 at home!!

Food on the plane.

After landing, remembered the advice about not having to do the double baggage drop, however you are only allowed to carry 1 suitcase each so all other suitcases have to go on the conveyor belt again. After carting remaining 4 suitcases with us we might as well done the double drop off for all the suitcases.

For all Virgin travellers with buses to get on the desk has altered to by the ground floor.

Waited for Mears Transport outside the terminal, which has always been very good in the past, however this year after 1 hour of waiting for 3 people the bus driver decided to leave – 50 minutes longer than I would have waited!! Dropped off at B&Y Club and then us.....usual stuff, quick sunbathe, unpack, feed everyone and then decorated room window...

That's the plane we flew out on! What is the matter with your hubby, is he mad? No wanting to go to Disney with three beautiful ladies!

No just work mad - he misses work and men's company (We employ 15 men and Andy is really one of the lads). I think we drive him mad with our wacky sense of humour. In fact the day he enjoyed the most of the holiday was fishing with the lads!!! But more about that later.

Mark was the same this year. He just did not seem to get into it, like previous years, until half way through when we went on the cruise. He said he was all Disneyed out and did not want to go back for a couple of years, so it would feel fresh again. Hope he gets that Disney feeling again in 2010 as it does spoil the holiday a bit.

I like your report writing style!! I think "Boys on Tour" need a training camp, I have a "boy" that really is not that keen on Disney, although he did admit that last Christmas was "fine" .....he was bribed with lots of golf but really would have been happier going to no Disney parks at all!!

We should blindfold them, line them up against a wall and indoctrinate them!!!! If they refuse we put IASW tape on a never ending loop and let them beg for mercy!!!!!:lmao:

I'm looking forward to reliving our 2002 holiday, HRH and CS!!! Lost the rest of my notes, that report never got finished!!!

Actually ..................... Stephen and Mark (Andy's Bay Lake Fishing Partners) said the fishing day was their best day of the holiday ................ so, I say ............ lets send the 3 boys carp fishing in France and all us girlies go in May 2008

Thats if I can't kick this depression by going August 2008, but then again, who says I can't go August and May (other than the bank manager!)

Speak soon xx Sharon
