I read the article. Wow! That's going to be a quick recovery for him to still do the cruise!

My DW had a similar operation in December '99, but thanfully, she did not have any cancerous cells.

She had surgery on Dec 8th and was in an observation unit for 23 hours and then came home. A couple months earlier, we had made reservations for an overnight stay at WDW and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for 9 or 10 days after the opearation.

She was able to go and enjoy it, but she had reduced physical activity and energy for about a month following the surgery.

I would expect that without any serious complications, he could be back to a moderate schedule within 2 to 4 weeks.

Just a guess, but they may have to ask him back for another cruise in the future and have this one with Mr Roeper doing this one by himself.

The article says that he still plans to make the DCL cruise on 2/28, but it seems optimistic to me.
