Can you catch the Christmas parade from City Walk?

I know it's pretty unlikely, but I thought I'd ask.

Leaving this Saturday for an all Disney trip with extended family. I've been avoiding all things Universal so I wouldn't get bummed, but

my sister mentioned going to City Walk and MV and said she heard you could see the parade from there?

You can't see the Macy's parade from Citywalk. You might be able to see it if you are by the globe but most likely you would only see the tops of the balloons.

Thanks, we're leaving for home on Sat the 8th, so the family was trying to decide between dd and cw for last minute shopping on Fri. Honestly, I think they should just go with dd...trying not to let my craving for a Margarita and a cheeseburger sway their decision :banana:
