For example, it is difficult enough returning home from a trip, but can I just tell you how nice it is to come home with clean clothes and money left over!!! We just stayed in a 2 bedroom at SSR the past five days and I was able to do laundry and save so much money by having breakfast, snacks, and wine and beer in the room.
What are some little things that makes you happy with DVC??

We usually book studios to maximize the number of trips we take a year. I love having the mini kitchens....microwaves, refrigerator and coffee maker. It really is a money saver, being able to have breakfast, a stocked frig with water, drinks etc. I love being greeted with the "Welcome Home" as well.

I like to get DVDs from Community Hall or wherever and to watch them in the room during down time.

We really enjoy the larger rooms at Old Key West. Being able to come back to our room at the end of a long day at the paks and relax on the big patio with a cool beverage is great. We also like being able to take advantage of the Disney Transportation.
The discounts are a nice bonus as well.

Being able to do laundry is fantastic!! Having 3 TVs in a 2 bedroom was awesome since we have small kids and everyone can spread out.

We too like the kitchen and laundry which allows us to pack lighter and go home with clean clothes instead of dirty ones in the suitcase.
We also have come to feel that OKW truly IS our second home. LOVE the big rooms and big balcony, and the views there. I feel it truly is our vacation HOME, while the hotel type resorts make me feel too much like I'm in a hotel, OKW makes me feel special.

Shh. Don't tell Disney that you brought home money. They'll raise prices on us.
Since I'm staying alone in the room many times during a trip, I like having the couch instead of a second bed in the room. It's nice to be able to grab some breakfast, and sit on the couch and watch tv in the mornings.

And that's the great flexibility of DVC! All of us can get exactly what we like best!

Knowing that we'll be back soon. Commando touring is a thing of the past! :thumbsup2

I love that it truly feels like a home! :goodvibes :cool2:
Everytime, everyday, whenever I open the door to our villa, I yell in, "we're home!"

I absolutely LOVE not having to bring home dirty laundry and having breakfast or a evening drink on the huge patio/balcony at OKW. But knowing that we'll be back gives the ability to relax while in the parks and forego the commando style of park touring. This has to be the number 1 thing I love about owning DVC.
I can Ditto so many things here:
clean laundry, extra space, no commando-coming back, having food and drinks available in the room, makes me take a vacation, feels like home and of course
WELCOME HOME
HOWEVER, SOMETHING NOT MENTIONED THAT WE LOVE TO DO IS POOL HOP. We hop to the pools instead of the parks or between the parks. I also like knowing that year after year I will be bringing my family to a clean and beautiful safe place -Disney quality-that I am managing to somehow afford!

That when I go on vacation I get more sq. footage than at home. That I usually double it in a one bedroom!
Yep, you read that right!:rotfl:
Oh, a kitchen. A kitchen. I so love not eating out all the time.
A balcony. No more Value/Mods without. I love the balconies.
The guaranteed vacation.
Taking others with us. Often in their own suite. Sounds like I'm unselfish. But often in their own suite is actually selfish.;)
Sitting on the BW and remembering all the years I've dreamed of DVC and sat there in that exact spot and thought "one day!". Sitting at VWL, looking out at the trees, and thinking when I first saw the sign of the new DVC there and thought holy crap at DVC here and, "one day".
Aaah. So grateful. DVC has been so wonderful.

Yep, I agree. Being forced to spend time at the happiest place in the world really stinks.

I may be crazy, but the washer/dryer in 1 bedrooms. Love to obsessively wash everything.
Also the spa tub. Nothing better after a hard day in the parks.
Many more, but those are my two favorites!

Waking up in the morning, clicking on the coffee maker, and really enjoying some quiet time with a nice cup of coffee and the kids in the other room. I love this time of the day in our DVC.:thumbsup2 Its some "me" time.

The thing that I really enjoyed that totally suprised me was... having a washer and dryer allowed me to be a more relaxed (i.e. fun) parent on vacation because I didn't have to worry about DD's last clean pair of pants, etc. My kids could be kids.
I had already known I would love having more then one room so everyone could get the sleep they needed for a great vacation. (DH - 6hrs, Me - 8 hrs, DD11 - 10 hrs, DD6 12 hours)

Not having a car, and not having to drive anywhere. We love the laundry also, and the dishwasher. I love to cook, so breakfast and alot of dinners are made at "home". No more "commando" or "have to get to the parks early" either. Not having to leave the room because housekeeping wants to get in is a real plus also.

For now, our DGC are the small things that we love to see at DVC. DDiL mentioned that one "Was thankful for our Disney trip" at the Thanksgiving table.

Having the two TVs has really been a savior. That's a big reason why DH and I get a one bedroom, even for just 2 of us. That way, he can watch all the ESPN he wants, and I just go into the bedroom and watch "the Disney propoganda channel" for the 20th time. Also, I love that when we find out an attraction is closed when we're there, we don't panic. We just say "Oh, well-next time!"

What don't we love......
I really like (especially in 1 or 2 bedrooms or grand villa) it when you come "home" you can actually sit on a couch to relax, not a bed.
The kitchen area is great. Great $$ saver.
The size of the rooms
Going home with clean clothes
Kids sleeping in a different room than the adults
I could go on and on and on, but I need to get packed because we are going "home" this weekend and need to get stuff together....
