We saw Enchanted last night. I enjoyed it very much. It is definitely a girly movie about Princesses and falling in love and loves first kiss but we all (my dd and my Mom) thought it was good. It's nice to see a movie that the whole family can watch that is good! They had promos for The Golden Compass (which looked awesome...kinda like Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia type of movie all rolled up into one..starts Dec 7) and the Spiderwick Chronicles which looked totally awesome too. That starts is Feb. There is also one with Raven and Martin Lawrence coming out that dd was excited about but I don't care for Martin Lawrence. Any other good movies out there?

Harry Potter comes out near the end of next year. Something to look forward too.
The Toronto Star gave Enchanted high marks. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I also enjoyed the movie. My daughters age 7 and 9 also enjoyed it. But I would not recommend it for younger audiences. We had quite a few younger children around us (aged 3-4) who were crying at some of the scarier parts. I would say it is more of a romantic comedy than a children's movie.

We saw it on Saturday. (Went at 11:00 a.m., and got a matinee rate of $6 per seat.)
I'd have to rate the movie as 'cute' and worth the admittance cost, just to see the technical aspects of the film, but the story is light and fluffy and typical Disney.
I'd have to rate the Marketing Opportunities as a 10 out of 10. After Disney dropping the ball on the first Pirates, they won't miss out on this opportunity.

Just a little trivia for you about the movie. The actress that played Patrick Dempsey's secretary was Jodi Benson, who was the voice of Ariel. In the soap opera scene on the tv, the actress was Paige O'Hara, who was the voice of Belle, and also it also starred Judy Kuhn as the Pregnant woman with Kids. She was the singing voice of Pocahontas. Talk about a great tribute movie to the Disney Princess. Oh .. and we can't forget Peter Pettigrew (wormtail) aka Timothy Spall as the notorious Nathaniel!!!! Boy did I feel stupid when I said to my daughter (in a much louder (but not shouting) voice than expected) "It's Wormtail" when I first saw him!
I loved the movie, however, my only disappointment was not being able to hear Idina Menzell sing!

My 3-year-old loved it! She keeps asking when we can go see Giselle again!
