I think I remember passing a place on I-drive, sort of 5 min from Disney going north, that had a big race car on the building, with checkered flags?

Can anyone tell me what this is?

DH is absolutely CRAVING a big old American hamburger when we go in a few weeks (been overseas for 18 months and my healthy homemade burgers aren't cutting it) and we thought if this place is a race car themed place, the kiddos will be happy to.

And if it isn't a race car themed hamburger joint, can someone recommend where to get a great American burger please?

Well you could go to city walk and go to Jimmy Buffets and have a cheesebuger in paradise. And they also have a race theme place that may foot the bill that you are looking for.

Yes, that was Race Rock and they are now closed. :(

If you're looking for a race car place specifically, you could try the Nascar Cafe at Universal's City Walk:

For a really good burger, try Fuddrucker's @ The Festival Bay Mall on International Drive:

Have a great trip!!!

Race Rock closed simply because the rent on that I-Drive location wasn't worth having a burger type restaurant. From what I've heard a more upscale restaurant will be going in that location.I think I heard it would be owned by the people who had the King Henry's Feast dinner show.As far as a good burger I also agree that you can't go wrong with Fuddrucker's at Festival Bay and Nascar Cafe at Citywalk if you want a racing themed restaurant.

Nothing yet, as of the last time I drove by a week or two ago. The new owners were talking about a pretty extensive refurb, who knows how long it will take.

Actually the quote from the former owner of the property (the location was not rented) was he got an offer "he simply could not refuse". He had several offers in the years prior, but couldn't walk away from the last one it was so good.
It's sad, we really loved that place.
