HI! I got some Huggies coupons, while it's too early to buy diapers as our baby is due Feb 2008, i gonna use them to buy wipes from Walmart.
What do you think of Huggies wipes , in term of quality and $ price, compared to other major brands ?

If you do buy diapers don't buy too many newborn size. I work in a nursery and you would be surprized how many newborns don't fit in them. They are good for a 5-6-7 lb baby but nothing larger. Good news is that you could exchange any unopened bags at walmart for the next size. Wipes, its been a while since I have had to buy them but I think the costco and walmart brands make some cheap thick wipes.
BTW CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I used Huggies when my first dd was born, for about the first year, but then I started making my own and have been doing that for the last 5 years.
My youngest is 15 months and I am looking forward to the day of no more diapers.

Oh, Ham Ham... that's exactly what I needed this afternoon :lmao:
To OP:
Our little guy is 1.5 years old now, and at first I LOVED the Pampers diapers and the Huggies wipes. When Huggies came out with the new trim fit "shape", I got myself a $50 coupon from them - and certainly was more than willing to give the new diapers a try. Needless to say, we're all about Huggies now in this house :thumbsup2
Wipes - DH loves the Huggies wipes in Natural Care (which you can get in bulk at Costco) or the Huggies Shea Butter wipes (which Costco no longer carries, but Walmart still had bulk boxes). DH did NOT like the Mango scent - reminded him too much of coconut tanning oil :rotfl:
We did try the Pampers wipes and both DH and I agree: too wet (almost soggy) and just not as absorbent. Kirkland (Costco) wipes were okay, but in some cases too dry. Took those packs back to Costco, and they say it's a "common complaint". So, yah from us on Huggies Wipes!
All in all, you should give the different companies a go (in fact, you'll be getting lots of samples, so no worries on that front) - since everyone will have a personal preference for their little one :)

Even though we have been done diapers for a very long time we always used Huggies. I found Pampers to be too heavily perfumed and my kids were sensitive to them. To this day I still keep a travel pack of huggies wipes in my bag for sticky fingers and faces. Great advice from neonurse.. I remember using them until the belly button dried up but after that we went into size one's pretty quickly....awwwww I remember how small their little bummies were:cloud9:

our second one is now 4.5months old and we only buy wipes and diapers from Costco. They do sell huggies in stages, and we are happy with them along with the savings compared to shopping at walmarts or elsewhere
