Has anyone done the dolphine encounter directly throuhg them and not through the cruise line excursion. We would like to do the dolphin encounter, but not have to wait for the blue lagoon encounter boats. Thank you

Yes,you can book the Dolphin Experience directly. In fact, if you want to "swim with the dolphins", you have to book that directly since DCL doesn't offer that as an excursion... only the "experience" where you stand on a platform in the water and touch the dolphins.

AAARRRGGHHH!!!! and all this time I thought I would be swimming with the dolphins. Can you call and request an upgrade? Is there anything I can do about this?

When are you sailing, SunBunny? If you are still more than 7 days away from your cruise, you can cancel your excursion without penalty. Then you can book the Dolphin Swim directly with Dolphin Encounters.

I'm sailing March 31. My mom and boyfriend booked the Blue Lagoon Encouter for that day also, so we could all be together after I am done. Can I cancel the dolphin encounter, book Blue Lagoon, and then book a dolpin swim. Do you think they would still have one available? Thanks!!!!

SunBunny, sounds like a possibility. Give it a try.

Thank you for the info.

Two questions..

1. How do you get from the cruise to the pick-up point that the encounter transportation supplies?

2.. How early of a reservation can I get?

Thank you again!

We're sailing on March 31 too! I tried to book the dolphin swim through Nassau and it was full for April 1. I then tried to book the dolphin encounter through Disney and it was full too! My 9 yr old is very disappointed. I wouldn't cancel your excursion w/ Disney until you get one through Nassau. Are you sailing with kids? This is our first cruise of any kind and we are very excited. It is my husband, 5 sons, and myself. It's nice to talk to someone who will be on the same cruise. Good luck!

My mom, a 4th grade teacher, needed a SERIOUS vacation, so my boyfriend and I saved and suprised her with this for christmas. We cannot wait!!!!!!
