would enjoy a Disabilities chat? Not each week but occasionally. I'm working on some ideas and need some imput. Thanks bunches. :)

We did try to do it before, but it was on a very irregular schedule and hard to keep track of.

I think, as long as it is a protected/moderated chat and people who are off-topic are not breaking up the conversation, it might work. Many new people find chat confusing or hard to follow, so it really would need to be kept on-topic to be helpful.

Another idea, which I don't know if it has been discussed before, would be to have the chat logs made available on the boards afterwards, so that people who were not there could have the opportunity to see what was discussed and ask questions later.

I've never really cared much for chats. I cannot see where it would assist the disABILITIES forum. Generally most of the comments which are posted to this forum are well thought out and not "just off the top" responses. Also there is the problem of wwhen it woulld be held. As Andrew says, there are a lot of time zones involved. Also, I may sometimes be napping in the early evening but then on the board at 3:00AM.
